I'm going to keep it short: my drink is consistently good, the baristas are mostly very very nice, and the environment is nothing special. The last time I reviewed it was because I had a particularly bad experience with an employee, and this update to my last review is because of the same issue with a different employee by the name of Anna-Yi (?) I swear the baristas behind the counter here are some of the nicest workers I've encountered, so I'm confused as to why it's always someone in management who breaks that streak? I'm not even that delicate to where every unpleasant interaction deserves a review, I just actually can't believe these things until I write them down. I was waiting for my drink (small iced latte, exxtra ice in a large cup) when I heard my name called and a barista was waiting for me to tell me that I had to pay for the extra milk to fill the large cup. I explained that I wanted no extra milk and that I expected a cup full of ice, to which she argued with me in every possible direction, even insinuating that she was going to have to "re-train" the barista who rang me up. I asked her if she would feel satisfied with me paying for the "extra" milk as long as the cup isn't filled to the top and she just goes "Oh if you don't want extra milk then you don't have to pay for it." and from there I just agreed with everything she said. I was too dizzy to stand my own ground at that point. Completely unnecessary. Prime example of someone riding a power trip. read more

The drive through here is beyond slow. 20 plus minutes at any time of day regardless of where the line starts. Don't come here if you're on your way to work unless you leave at least 30 minutes before you usually do. If I get fired it's on me. I should've known better. Update : I guess I had this first part of the review in my drafts and never posted it, but I was shocked to see that it was still there when I went to review it this last time. Nothing's changed except my loss of memory. I got in line at 6:50 in the morning five cars ahead of me. I didn't get to the window until 705 paid for my coffee and then waited another six minutes to where I had to bail and drive to work because I couldn't be late so I was in the drive-through for a total of 21 minutes. Didn't even get my drink and had to bail. I could've made it to work in the time that I was waiting in the drive-through. I just don't understand how you could have an order for 20 minutes and not have it made in that time spent there's nothing going on in the dining room. I'm so glad I came across this coffee shop! I had never heard of it but I see it had a loyal following. I don't live in the area but shopping brought me to the area and I needed a coffee fix. I was intrigued by the name, impressed by the menu but blown away but the locations and loyal fans of the franchise. I couldn't decide which flavor to go with so I went with flan and dulce de leche. They were both sweet for my tasting but good nonetheless. I can't wait to try more of their offerings when I return next month and hopefully other edible menu items too! After the Lakers win we decided we wanted coffee after leaving the city of Whittier. My lady saw there was on in Pico Rivera omg the location was back in the day I used to go with my mom. The spot was KFC before and now it's this spot the funny part the old bucket of KFC they change it too look like coffee mug so funny. Well the spit is big then the others we been too the staff was friendly she had hot drink I had cold mazapan frappe wow it was ridiculous . Drink-wise, I go for the matcha horchata--sweet and bold. Their regular matcha latte doesn't quite hit like the ones from Japanese bakeries, but the horchata version makes up for it. don't drink coffee anymore, but I remember their caficito Cubano con leche being sweet and strong--just how I liked it. The Tres Leches muffin is STILL so yummy. Get this if you haven't already. Make sure it's warmed up too. They have a lot of drink options and the cashier did a great job explaining some of her favorites and which ones are sweeter or more coffee forward. So, I was visiting my daughter and my son-in-law .He recommended this place. I usually go to Starbucks but he said it was delicious so here I am. It's around 5:30 in the evening and there is a long line but it is moving quickly. I desperately needed some espresso so that I could make it home on my long commute. I ordered an iced espresso and had it customized because I like sugar-free options plus l wanted to try their cheese danish. Everything was good and my coffee I needed to add more sugar-free vanilla. Yum, yum, yum! It was my first time trying out Tierra Mia and I am obsessed! My dad suggested coming here as he really liked them. I had the Mazapan Peanut Frappe and he had the Mexican Mocha. Both drinks were exceptional! It gets pretty busy here, especially the drive thru, but they do a good overall job at taking care of everyone. The iced strawberry matcha looked so good! I've been to Tierra Mia in La Habra and Long Beach a couple times, and I loved it! Once I moved I tried this location multiple times to give it the fairest rating, but their baristas are so inconsistent when it comes to their drinks, you're better off going to Starbucks. The latte has no flavor, it's just sweet and milky, so if you're a strong coffee lover, you won't find that here. Their matcha latte is purely just milk and tastes like the trader joes's matcha latte powder mix, iykyk. It's definitely not ceremonial grade, and if it is, they're not proportioning the right amount. To each their own if they enjoy their drinks like this but in my opinion, it's not worth the price. The workers hate to remake your drinks, and I get it, I used to be a barista, but I paid for a drink not an attitude. I already feel bad enough for sending it back... this is my least favorite location. read more

Parking at this Tierra Mia is limited to 3 hours - more than you'll need - but one misleading part is the "Drive-In / Drive-Thru" part in some of their signage. Thankfully, this wasn't just a drive-thru but also had ample seating on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered my usual iced latte, and I would say it's pretty standard across most Tierra Mias - tasty! This location also has Wi-Fi, which makes it a great local study / meeting spot. One area of improvement I hope that they make is the restroom system. There are two gender inclusive restrooms that have keys that are color coded, but the restrooms were not. Imagine trying to peacefully mind your own business, but then all of a sudden out of nowhere someone frantically jams a key and wobbles that doornob like a Magnitude 10.0 earthquake. We started coming here and really enjoyed the idea of just chilling out and talking, but the more we came it seemed like the service, coffee and pastries seemed to go downhill really quick, from the coffee being spotty and not consistent, and pastries having bugs flying around in the case, what really bothered us was when we told the employees they just shrugged it off staring that they already knew that and apparently were not going to fix the issue.
