Mazapan pancakes. Extremely delicious. Will definitely be back.

Food is really good. Definitely recommend. Will be back again soon. The Mazapan pancakes are extremely delicious. Will return to try churro and banana split pancakes.

Chicharon en salsa verde. Fried pork skin in a green sauce with a side of refried beans. Spicy and delicious.

Had to come to my favorite diner in LA once again for my menudo fix! But not without a side order of Pata !!!! Love that this is an option as a lot of places here in LA offer menudo but not with Pata! Great service from everyone like always! Owner Chef Jorge came to check on us and make sure we were 100% satisfied! These are the details that keep us coming back time after time!

I would give Olguita's Cocoa a 5/10 overall. The café de olla was actually really good, and the server was very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the food could definitely improve. The beans were cold, and the chilaquiles were just okay and not served hot. I also had to add extra chili for flavor, and they don't offer jalapeños upon request. The place has potential, but I think they really need to step up the aesthetics and overall presentation. If you want authentic go to Senior G on Whittier and Rosemead ask for Lorena or Carlos.

Came in on a Saturday morning with my family for brunch and we were starving. Not busy at all so we immediately ordered our food and drinks. Three occupied tables including us with only one waitress. We weren't worried about it at that time but then it got really busy. It took a long time for us to receive our drinks. Even longer to get our food. Our kids received their food after us. They forgot a few things. The waffles were missing strawberries and we requested sour cream and other things. My wife had to get up a few times to service. Finally got to relax and enjoy our food. We both got chilaquiles and they were really good. High quality steak and decent sized chips. The sauce is pretty good. My kids shared waffles and spaghetti. They devoured their food and had no complaints. It was a hot day and it was warm inside. Eventually more staff showed up to help but we were already done. The aesthetics can use an upgrade as can their AC system. Not sure we will return.

    Hot Links and Eggs

This place is just incredible! We came back the next day on 4-6-25 with different people to see the wonderful food and staff. We arrived around 12:30pm after church and got good parking again. I ordered the Hot Links and Eggs with home fries and sourdough toast. The rule that I have when it comes to Hot Links on a menu is rare, but if you are going to have them, they better be good. The Hot Links were the best that I have ever had at a cafe/restaurant for breakfast. They were nice and thick and cooked perfectly. Everything else was just as good. It is a very nice and warm atmosphere with live music playing and able to watch the Dodger game on tv depending on where you sit. The staff are just great people, warm and friendly and make you feel welcome at their place. We love coming here. Our server was Jorge C. and he is great, provides excellent service and knowledge about the dishes on the menu. You will not be disappointed at all!!

First time coming, the old feel restaurant says Chef's Coffee Shop but as you enter you see a sign on the door, "Olguita's Cocina." I ordered the French toast stack with egg whites and 2 very thin slices of bacon is what I got for $25. The food was okay, nothing impressive or unique. I may have ordered the wrong item there but I will not be returning for a plate that said, $18.00 but due to egg whites, i ended up paying $25. That feels like a little and too and it didn't even include a cup of coffee or even an offer of water. Service was okay. Nothing worth bragging about, unfortunately.

The waiters are really cool, very nice. This place is legit run by Guatemalans which was pretty cool. I recently visited Guatemala so it was fun to chat with the waiter who noticed my shirt (I was coincidentally wearing a shirt I bought in Guatemala with a picture of Tikal lol). Anywaaaay - I tried the trio tostadas, a tamal and a Mayan iced latte. The tostadas were great. They were very fresh. They're very simple. One is black bean, one is avacado and one is chicken salad. My favorite was the chicken salad. I used their green salsa and it was delicious. The tamales was good. Today I learned I don't really like the flavor of banana leaf that gets absorbed into the tamal. Also, it was primarily made of rice. It had a piece of bell pepper, a little chicken and I think a plum. Aside from the banana leaf I liked the tamale. The latte was delicious. Nice coffee flavor and sweetened perfectly. Definite recommend and I will for sure be back.

It's a great addition to Montebello, and I love seeing more independent coffee shops come to the area, especially when they're this good. Now I'm genuinely torn because I already have two local favorites that I visit minimum three to four times a week, and this one has officially joined the rotation, looking forward to trying the other options they offer. One thing that surprised me was the space. From the outside, it looks fairly small, but once you step inside, it's bright, open, and much more spacious than expected. There were already several people ahead of me in line, which is always a great sign. The service was quick and efficient. While it wasn't overly personal, it fit the atmosphere well. This feels more like the kind of café where people come to study, work, or catch up with friends... I also appreciate the quality ingredients that they use. Many of their offerings feature organic ingredients, they make their cream foam in-house, and even use grass-fed butter in one of their specialty coffee drinks. The last time I reviewed it was because I had a particularly bad experience with an employee, and this update to my last review is because of the same issue with a different employee by the name of Anna-Yi (?) I swear the baristas behind the counter here are some of the nicest workers I've encountered, so I'm confused as to why it's always someone in management who breaks that streak? I'm not even that delicate to where every unpleasant interaction deserves a review, I just actually can't believe these things until I write them down. I was waiting for my drink (small iced latte, exxtra ice in a large cup) when I heard my name called and a barista was waiting for me to tell me that I had to pay for the extra milk to fill the large cup. I explained that I wanted no extra milk and that I expected a cup full of ice, to which she argued with me in every possible direction, even insinuating that she was going to have to "re-train" the barista who rang me up. I asked her if she would feel satisfied with me paying for the "extra" milk as long as the cup isn't filled to the top and she just goes "Oh if you don't want extra milk then you don't have to pay for it." and from there I just agreed with everything she said. I was too dizzy to stand my own ground at that point. Completely unnecessary. Prime example of someone riding a power trip.

I was in the area and I've never had a cute coffee with the latte art (so many of my friends are going to roast me for this) When I pulled up -nice private parking -a staff member was outside painting on the windows with the cutest window art. The girl had talent! This place has also given back. They helped with the LA fires last year. So bonus points for places who give back. (They gave back to the Pasadena humane society) There was a pretty big line and it was pretty loud in here, but it went by very fast. My friend grabbed a table while I placed the order. -they do have a good amount of seating. The place is pretty small though. So we sat for a minute after our drinks came out and then decided to take it to go -they have latte art that changes every month. So I like they have some rotating options. It was my turn and I ordered two sugar free mocha iced coffees. One with regular foam, And mine had strawberry foam. When I told Matthew at the counter it was really important the one drink be as sugar free as possible due to my friend being diabetic, he warned us there was sugar in the foam, but he would go as light as possible. So I appreciate him warning us and taking it serious. I picked the new hello kitty art of the month (hello kitty in a bathing suit with waves and dolphins) And my friend picked from the new monthly latte art as well, and got the Kirby character Even though it was busy, it took probably 2 minutes for our drinks to be made Matthew was absolutely great. His energy, he had a smile on his face, was knowledgeable about the menu, Matthew was everything you'd want in a staff member. Just like any coffee place, you pay and give them a name for your order, and then they call your name and you pick up your coffee at the counter. These drinks hit the spot!!! It was very trendy. They had Sabrina carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo specials and they even had a Lana Del Rey latte (cinnamon girl, named after her song) only thing that bummed me out They had a case with delicious pastries. But since I came here later in the day, they only had a couple stragglers left behind -they open at 7 am, for everyone needing their morning coffee -vegan options -free WiFi -woman owned -LGBTQ owned -they give back to the community
