Came across this place by chance as I was looking for some gelato in the area. Oh my goodness everything was delicious! I didn't know until I was there, Tifa is a chain! They have locations in California and other states. The indoor decor is super cute, with baking decor and pastel palette which automatically lightening up my mood. They have gelato, tea, coffee and other drinks. I thought it's only gelato. They also have a few matcha drinks as well! They have interesting gelato flavors. I got the blueberry London fog (early grey) gelato and it was delicious!! There are real blueberry pieces in the gelato. Also got the fudge dark chocolate, oh my word! It was sooo rich in chocolate and not sweet which is perfect. Definitely the best chocolate gelato I've had in the valley! I tried the peach gelato as well and you can taste real peach pieces in the gelato. I appreciate any place that has really ingredients of the fruit, etc. rather than just syrup/aroma of that fruit. 10/10 I will be back to try more flavors. read more

Sometimes you pass by a hidden gem, and eventually you try them out. That's definitely Tifa Gelato! From their coffee to their macarons to of course their gelato, in my two visits, both have been outstanding! Its a very cozy shop, with homestyle decor and lots of board games to entice you to stay and take your time indulging in your dessert, Italian style! They even have a window for anyone to watch their gelato machine churn away, always love transparency for healthy product! The staff so far are friendly and accommodating, and have been prompt on hellos and goodbyes etc. Definitely recommend if you've been dying for a better quality alternative for places like dairy queen! read more

I travel the world just to eat gelato lol. Tifa is up there as a favorite. They have amazing flavors, perfect texture and a delicious bonus wafer comes with it. They have all sorts of additional treats as well. I got the Mexican dark chocolate and mint n chip. My husband got the vegan dark chocolate and lavender matcha. We both ate the whole thing up. I think the small is the perfect portion and I love that you can pick 2 flavors. Service was so friendly and attentive. There is lots of indoor seating and some seating outside. This place is so cute! I love the decorations, and the variety of chocolates and snacks. The macarons are very good, and so are the baked goods. I had a big peanut butter cookie that healed my soul . Yeah... not really gelato. Not quite ice cream either, though. The "gelato" is very sweet, and some of it is kinda watery, some is creamy, some is chunky... I don't know, there are some consistency issues. We didn't try the chocolate, but it looked good! The lady serving us at the counter was very sweet and was able to recommend flavors and tell us which options were gluten-friendly and which we should stay away from. The shop itself is cute, with some cute boho and Arizona-style decor. There's also a good amount of seating. Probably won't come back, but I'm pretty picky about gelato. read more

The flavor selection is incredible--think lavender matcha, pistachio lemon curd, London fog, salted caramel, and so many more unique combinations you won't find just anywhere. Every scoop is rich, creative, and perfectly balanced. Their coffee and tea offerings are just as impressive, and the macarons and chocolates are equally delicious. Saw this recommended on Reddit so I was excited to try. Super happy we did. Creamy and delicious flavor. Really appreciated the Elvis, different than usual flavors. They offer samples in case you're unsure. The girls were nice and patient as we decided what to order. Area was clean and so was bathroom. Simple, modern country aesthetic. It seems they have little games on the table so that's thoughtful. Nice for a little date or to take the kids out. However, as you can see from the prices, might put you back a bit . Gelato is one of my favorite desserts and although this place was bit of a drive, I decided to try it based on all the fantastic reviews. This is a very clean and inviting store with ample seating to enjoy your treats. They have like 20 different tempting flavors so it was hard to decide. I sampled a few flavors and decided on two flavors of ube monster and salted caramel. Both were super creamy and rich without being overly sweet, just the way I like it. We wanted to get some sweet treats post our dinner and found this place close by. We went in around 6:30pm, there was no one and two families came in much later. The ambiance is really cute, they have chocolates, cookies, sorbet, gelato, coffee and more. We loved the games they had kept on every table. The place is modern and chic, a good place to relax and work as well. We tried few of their gelato samples and went with fig mascarpone, milk chocolate and mango sorbet. Milk chocolate and fig mascarpone was really good! The sorbet was just alright. The serving cups are too small for the price. The cups are kind of caved in so the serving is less. Costed us $6.25 for a small cup & $7.25 for a medium w/o tax. Felt the price is way too expensive for a small cup. Otherwise a good place to visit. read more

The ube monster and fig mascarpone. I'm coming back because of those two and This Is Freaking Awesome (thus the name TIFA lols).... I was greeted right away by the owner when I walked in. He explained the gelato is made fresh and I could have as many samples as I wanted. Lots of appealing flavors to choose from and the flavors rotate each month. The interior is clean and modern. Lots of seating and nice touch with the board games you can play. They also offer chocolate truffles, coffees, teas, muffins and cookies but I didn't try them. So we came here based on other Yelp reviews, and let me tell you- WOW! This gelato is amazing! I sampled several flavors, and they were all delicious. If you like coffee, their Espresso Chip was probably the best I've ever tasted. I'm a chocolate lover, so I went with the dark chocolate, which was amazing, and then my partner got the coconut almond chip, which was super tasty! A while back, Yelp alerted me of this then hot and new biz. A week or so later, I was in the shop to try them out! Hubs and I were greeted right away. We let the friendly staff members know that it was our first time and they gave us a warm welcome before going over the offerings and flavors. I saw photos of the Ube Monster on Yelp and was immediately drawn to it. I ordered a scoop of it. Because I also love what I love, I added a scoop of their Salted Caramel and Espresso Gelato. I was very pleased with my flavor choices. The flavors were on point and not overpowering. None of them were overly sweet either. As the name implies, Tifa serves chocolate, gelato, and more. They have a nice variety of chocolate and gelato flavors including classics as well as unique ones like lemon rosemary custard and horchata at the time of my visit. Our favorite gelato spot in Gilbert, my family and I get a pint or more of their cookie butter gelato almost weekly. Even my special needs son who hates dessert loves their gelato. I've only been here couple of times now and these are the flavors I love to get - Salted Caramel | Pistachio Lemon Curd. Each cup comes with a wafer cookie. It doesn't taste like anything. Just air lol Only suggestion is that small cup is too dinky for the price of $6? I think. My parents shared a sorbet and Ube and my sisters and I each got our own. So we did pay around $30 plus tip.. so 6x5 would be that.. even though you can put in two flavors, it would be nice if it was the next size that's medium to be the "small size". Also even though I didn't try it.. My fam said the Ube flavor gelato doesn't taste like Ube. I said maybe it was just named that because of its color-purple and the hype nowadays. I have been a regular at Tifa Chocolate and Gelato for quite some time now, and I've always looked forward to our visits, especially with my grandchildren. Ever since the shop reopened, it had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that kept us coming back week after week. It truly felt like a special little tradition for our family. However, over the past few weeks, I'm sad to say that something has noticeably changed. The overall experience just isn't what it used to be. The staff no longer seem as friendly or attentive, and the welcoming environment that once made this place so enjoyable now feels lacking. It's disheartening to walk in and not feel that same sense of care or enthusiasm. What upsets me most is how this has affected our family time. My grandchildren used to look forward to our Saturday night visits, and now I find myself having to explain why we don't go anymore. That's not an easy thing to do when it was something they genuinely loved. I don't know what has changed recently, but I do hope management takes notice and makes an effort to bring things back to how they once were. Tifa is great little addition to the Gilbert area! The aesthetics inside are very clean and modern. I love all the indoor seating and we even had sole tables games to play while we had our treats! The gelato flavors were plentiful and very creative. We had the ube and cookies, the lemon cookie, and a mint flavored one. The consistency seemed a little grainy/icy compared to other typical gelatos but the taste was really good. Not overly sweet and fairly balanced. We got a cookie as well to try and was a little disappointed. They were cold and didn't seem freshly baked. They did offer to warm it up and had I know they were not fresh I would have done that. We didn't get any truffles this trip but they looked really good. The only downside is they aren't made locally but in California per the lady working. I think this is a good spot with a lot of potentially, if we are ever back in the area it would be worth a trip back in to try some of the other gelato flavors :) read more
