Gelato Cimmino is definitely worth a stop if you're in Downtown Gilbert. While they don't have a massive selection of flavors, the variety they do offer is solid--and more importantly, everything we tried tasted high quality. We went with their signature flavor, Cimmino Rock, and the Peanut Butter Chip. Both were excellent. The Cimmino Rock had a rich chocolate base with a twist of wafer and something else I couldn't quite place--but whatever it was, it worked. Creamy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. If you're a gelato fan or just looking to cool off with something better than your average scoop, this place is a great choice.

I found the gelato to be below average compared to Frost (local) and several others I have tried in the US and one internationally. Service was unremarkable. Atmosphere (interior) was kind of sterile but (outside) patio was nice. I had an afogato with dark chocolate gelato. The hot espresso turned the gelato into a weird texture that I found unpleasant. For me, once was enough.

Incredibly creamy house made gelato, reminicent of gelato you would find on a cobblestone street corner in Italy. A decent number of flavors to choose from and yes you can have a few sample spoons before settling on what you order. There's a large sidewalk facing patio to sit & enjoy the gelato with bistro tables. Perfect for a sunny afternoon treat. Inside, is oddly empty of any theme or interior style and feels like a cafeteria hall because the space is far too big for a gelato counter. I asked the girl at the counter if this was an event space or used for anything else but she had no clue. There's quite a few trendy ice cream counters in downtown Gilbert, but this is the only gelateria in the area. Maybe some colorful mural or artwork could help make the interior more exciting, but overall if you are just going for a few scoops of gelato, it's great.

I came here after a nice lunch in downtown Gilbert. I love gelato and trying new places so this was an exciting experience. The outside of the gelato shop it cute and when it's not too hot, it would be nice to sit and enjoy the gelato. The inside of the shop had some nice call outs regarding the natural aspect of their gelato and the ingredients. I enjoyed reading about their philosophy as well. The gelato flavors all looked delicious ranging from fruit varieties to chocolate, pistachio, hazelnut, coffee, and peanut butter (with chocolate) & MORE! What I also loved was being able to have 2 flavors in one bowl, wow! We got the Cimmino and the Peanut Butter Chocolate. Both of them were DELICIOUS! I can definitely taste the quality difference that they're advertising within their shop. I highly recommend stopping here for some good quality gelato.

Went here after a dinner at a nearby restaurant and boy did this place hit the spot. Super flavorful and rich. I liked that even the smallest size I was able to get 2 flavors. Very good, can't wait to come back for more.

I got the dark chocolate and raspberry, small, and an orange and almond flavor on the other small. The taste was so great, I think this had to be my favorite gelato I have tried in Arizona. Consistency 10/10, sweetness level 10/10, flavor 10/10. I hope to see more flavors and options! The set was great as well, the man working there was helpful and nice. While the inside of the place was very big. It seemed a bit empty and vast, but lots of seating, good for the summer heat.

Well, yum! Saw this driving to dinner downtown and decided to walk over and try it out after. It is brand new! Looks a little sparse without anything on the walls yet, but who cares cause it was delicious!!! You can try whatever flavors you like. They have three sizes. The two larger sizes also are available in a cone. And the best part....you can get 2 flavors even in the smallest (4 oz) size! So no need to choose - get them both!! Super rich, creamy, and flavorful. Everything we tried and ordered was delicious. Will definitely be back!

A refreshing spot on a hot day! I didn't even realize they opened up or was coming to Downtown Gilbert until I drove through the other week! We had friends from the East Coast in town and decided to meet up for dessert! The service was very nice and quick. I ordered the lemon-lavender scoop and the coconut scoop. The lemon lavender was a very nice balance, not overly floral at all but still very bright. There's a lot of patio seating so we hope to come back for the upcoming summer nights

This place was meh. It gives a sterile kind of atmosphere. Im thinking that it might be new. Its a large place for a gelato shop and lacks appeal. The gelato was more on the runnier side and if i didnt mention that the waffle cone didnt include two flavors then the server wouldnt have told me. She just handed the come over. When i asked for the second flavor she scooped out some of the first scoop. WTH. I wont be back esp with that California price. At least in Laguna Beach, theres decor, better flavors and better quality gelato and excellent customer service.

A third new ice cream spot in Downtown Gilbert! This location is definitely unique in terms of flavors and consistency- it's real Italian gelato. We looked up the flavors on their website however when we got there several of the advertised flavors including their and almond, cherry almond were nowhere to be found. It is a bit pricey and there is essentially no size difference from the small to the medium but there is a $2 price difference. The one girl working the counter was very friendly and willing to provide us many samples. The interior is very large and clean and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. If you're craving gelato it's a solid choice despite the hefty price tag ($17 for 2 people) the coffee and chocolate chip flavors were delicious.

Wow, don't sleep on this place. The gelato is imported from Italy and is one of a kind. The service was also spectacular which is rare these days. Definitely my new favorite gelato spot in AZ!

It's warm, magical, and the perfect place to get lost in a book. There is also a vintage-style Photo Booth that will print out two photo strips for $5! I also love the story behind this place starting online and growing into a physical bookstore that now carries such a fun variety of books, plus the cutest hip and trendy merch (hats, book pins, shirts, and more). The coffee is good, and their menu is surprisingly extensive. I ordered the cookie butter latte and was genuinely impressed by both the size and the taste. It sorta tasted like banana, mostly just a milk forward coffee. Just based on personal preference, it was a bit too sugary sweet for me, not as much of that coffee flavor coming through. The cashier was sweet though and even talked about a TV show with me that she noticed on my shirt, which is always nice and welcoming. Worth checking out.

The staff is super welcoming and generous, not in a forced way, just genuinely good energy from the second you walk in. Food-wise, they don't miss. The honeycomb with cream cheese inside is insane -- sweet, rich, and something you don't really see anywhere else. The Dubai chocolate latte is a must-try too, super smooth and indulgent without being over the top. The beef samosas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the chocolate pistachio croissant is easily one of the best pastries I've had in a while. Honestly, every time I go I end up trying something new and it's always solid. You can tell they put real thought into everything they serve. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.

A 16 oz drink was $10, which feels a bit steep for a medium-sized coffee. Overall, though, it's a great option if you're craving a Dubai-style iced coffee without leaving Arizona.

They offer complimentary wifi, a shelf of mission-branded merchandise and a menu of herbal teas and unique coffee drinks. Also a small assortment of pastry items. In addition to the regular entrance, they have a huge garage door access so on nicer days they can open up the seating area for fresh air and more of an outside but inside vibe. Staff were friendly barista hippie types but took a while for them to acknowledge us standing there even though there was no line. Ordered one hot tea and a seasonal coffee drink. Neither were great and their pricing is misleading. For example the seasonal drink was supposed to be $5.89 but was charged $7.65 and the tea was nothing more than a basic tealeaves in hot water. We didn't add any items to justify the upcharge but when I brought it to the cashiers attention she was unsure how to adjust the price or offer a refund unless we wanted loose change. SMH. If a Customer pays by Apple pay, they should be refunded or credited in the same way. Seems like a space intended for Co-working or digital nomad types as there were about 4 people with laptops and headphones sipping on drinks. Because of the ultra cool vibe, I'll definitely give them another chance to change my mind if I'm nearby but I think for what we ordered it wasn't a great price to value.

I stopped in around 6:00 pm to get some work done before a cycling class. The first thing the cashier told me was that the espresso machines were already shut down and that only hot tea was available. I asked what time the shop closed, and he said 7:00 pm. Since I still had time, I decided to stay and purchased tea. After sitting down, I was told--due to construction--that they would be "locking up soon." I assumed this still meant 7:00 pm. I received my tea around 6:10 pm, and by 6:20 pm I was told they would be locking the doors and turning off the lights. At that point, it felt passive-aggressive and misleading. If I had been told upfront that the shop was closing early, I would not have ordered anything. I specifically asked what time you were closing, and that information was not communicated clearly until after I had already paid. Additionally, if the shop is supposedly open until 7:00 pm, it's confusing why the espresso machines were already turned off at 6:00 pm. As for the tea -- 2/10. I didn't even finish it. I'm sure the coffee may be good, but this is the first time I've been to a coffee shop where the espresso machine was shut down an hour before closing. Lastly, as a study space, it's very limited: only two tables with about eight chairs total. There are outlets, but not nearly enough to support people working. Overall, the lack of clear communication and the rushed, uncomfortable atmosphere made this a disappointing experience.
