Next on the husband's afternoon plans were dessert and a movie. He remembered Tifa the last time we were in Porter Ranch, so this was our first stop when we arrived. The customers ahead of us were finishing up as we walked in. The young woman who helped us was quite friendly as she let us sample some flavors. I chose the small cup that allows for 2 scoops/flavors -- Pistachio and Strawberry Rhubarb. The husband had a medium cup for 3 scoops/flavors -- Cookies & Cream, Dulce de Leche and Lemon Cookie. Every flavor was just YUM -- so rich and creamy! The fresh ingredients come through in every bite. I love the super-cute decor. Organized and clean. They have a few bistro tables inside with small vases of fresh flowers. Since it was a beautiful day and we had an hour before our movie started, we opted to sit outside where we found many comfortable seating options. It was a great first experience at Tifa. My friend and I got here around 6:30 and thankfully walked right in. By 6:45 there were 20 people in line out the door! The employees were wonderful and answered all my questions since it was my first time there. We had just eaten dinner so I wasn't that hungry and they let me get a kids size cup which comes with two flavors! Even with 2 flavors, the cup was pretty small and still over $6. It was good but I'm not sure I would be back all the time due to the pricing. It is located in the vineyards which offers a lot of other shops and restaurants so you can walk off your ice cream! I was excited to try this spot but wasn't excited about the outcome. The displays and ice creams and chocolates all look really nice. But when you take a closer look, it's confusing to understand who makes what and where everything comes from. All the packaged goods have different labels and manufacturers so it's not "Tifa chocolate" making them. For what is sold by weight or quantity, I wouldn't even know if it's made by the store itself. I chose a Snickerdoodle cookie along with a Pistachio and chestnut chocolates. It was $10 for the cookie and two chocolates. I did not realize the cookie had rock sugar pieces on top when I asked for it and I wish it didn't. It ruins the texture and flavor, plus makes a mess with every bite. FYI- Gelato actually uses more milk and less cream , and no egg yolks, therefore a lower fat content than regular ice cream This shopping center can get busy and the line out the door but be patient. The chocolate chips/shavings they use is perfect- not too sweet and does not have that weird artificial taste. This is a chocolate shop too so makes sense they know chocolate. Stopped by here after dinner and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors they had. There's plenty to choose from and we got a small size which comes with two very generous scoops of flavors. For $7.25, I shared the small with my girlfriend and it was more than enough for us and great little dessert. Pretty bad customer service, especially to the girl that worked on January seventh 2026 at 4:15 PM. Rude. Didn't smile. Not welcoming. I would never come back here again. Commenting on the business owners comment. I came in with 3 small kids and requested to get one ice cream be split. The girl working there refused, I told her they'd done in before. She said no sorry we can't but can give a cup on the side and a spoon. I said fine. I got the ice cream and tried splitting it but got too messy. Now I understand rules, but some things can be bent, it would've taken no time just to split their ice cream especially she was giving me the cup anyway, and that would've saved me a toddler tantrum with the three kids, we had to leave your ice cream shop immediately. The littlest things can make someone's day. She already saw that I was with three kids and didn't want to offer a little bit of help to me. Your ice cream is great, the customer service was very disappointing. But that girl will one day find herself with several kids and a strangers help could brighten her moment. After a few tastes tastes, we decided to go with a Single Scoops of Dark Chocolate, Mint Chip and a great seasonal flavor, The Elvis (Peanut Butter, Banana, and hunka hunka Chocolate Chips. Thank you very much). My date also is a huge lavender lover, and decided to add a Lavender Honey Macaron to her dessert. The gelato is quite tasty. Rich, creamy, packed with delicious ingredients and flavor, all in a pretty good-sized amount starting at $6.50 for a Single Scoop (which you can select up to two flavors on). The macaron was also quite tasty, with the right amount of crispy soft exterior blended with a wonderfully smooth lavender honey interior. In addition to the gelato and macarons, there are also chocolates, cookies, coffees, and teas as well, offering customers a variety of drinks and desserts to satisfy. Prices might be a bit higher then one might expect, but the quality of the ingredients across all of the options justifies a premium product. About a half dozen seats inside, as well as a restroom for customers only. This is one of two dessert options at the Vineyards at Porter Ranch (also, See's Candies), and the quality is quite good.
