My friend and I got here around 6:30 and thankfully walked right in. By 6:45 there were 20 people in line out the door! The employees were wonderful and answered all my questions since it was my first time there. We had just eaten dinner so I wasn't that hungry and they let me get a kids size cup which comes with two flavors! Even with 2 flavors, the cup was pretty small and still over $6. It was good but I'm not sure I would be back all the time due to the pricing. It is located in the vineyards which offers a lot of other shops and restaurants so you can walk off your ice cream! They have a few tables inside it you want to eat it there but I noticed a lot of people take it to go.
We love Tifa!! We have tried different flavors and we all agree the flavors sound a little exotic and different but it works. They do samples so if something looks good try it, it may surprise you. This is an elevated ice cream experience.
GREAT GELATO IN PORTER RANCH ============================ On Sunday, November 23, 2025 my husband and I met some relatives in Porter Ranch for lunch and then dessert. We stopped in Tifa Chocolate & Gelato so my great-nephew and great-niece could get a kids size cup of gelato. My husband picked the stracciatella on a cone. I had several bites of his and it was really good. They have lots of huge cookies and chocolates for sale as well. I might try a cookie the next time we visit. The service was really good and there are places to sit inside and outside. There's a beautiful Christmas tree outside in the courtyard for the holidays too.
I was excited to try this spot but wasn't excited about the outcome. The displays and ice creams and chocolates all look really nice. But when you take a closer look, it's confusing to understand who makes what and where everything comes from. All the packaged goods have different labels and manufacturers so it's not "Tifa chocolate" making them. For what is sold by weight or quantity, I wouldn't even know if it's made by the store itself. I chose a Snickerdoodle cookie along with a Pistachio and chestnut chocolates. It was $10 for the cookie and two chocolates. I did not realize the cookie had rock sugar pieces on top when I asked for it and I wish it didn't. It ruins the texture and flavor, plus makes a mess with every bite. The cookie was dense and kinda bland. As for the chocolates, there was nothing special about them. I couldn't even tell the flavors were "pistachio" or "chestnut".
Great spot for gelato, with a large selection of gelato, chocolates and fresh-baked cookies. The hidden gem here though is their hot chocolate, especially on a rainy evening like today. They make it fresh out of chocolate chunks and milk of your choice and it's ready for you within minutes. You get that rich chocolate taste in each sip and with each sip, your soul smiles. The vibes here are awesome. You get great customer service and the place is clean, has nice design and about 8 tables for enjoying your gelato or hot chocolate. Will definitely be back for more!
We enjoyed our visit here on a Saturday night after dinner at Tifa Chocolate & Gelato. The shop is modern, very welcoming and spacious. The ambiance is sweet and tasteful. The set up of the gelato shop is so pretty. Tifa Chocolate & Gelato staff provided excellent customer service as soon as we walked in the shop. They offer a variety of flavors. My Espresso Chip gelato was yummy. The size and portion of the gelato is more than enough. We can't wait to try other flavors on Tifa Chocolate & Gelato's menu.

They let you sample before ordering which is always a plus. I ordered a small cup with two flavors. I went with pistachio and cherry, both were delicious! The two scoops come in what looks like a very small cup but believe me there is plenty of gelato inside. We did try the snickerdoodle cookie and boy was it ooey-gooey, delicious. Stop by for some gelato after catching a movie, after dinner, or to watch your kids run around in the play area. Actually, just stop by whenever.
Stopped by here after dinner and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors they had. There's plenty to choose from and we got a small size which comes with two very generous scoops of flavors. For $7.25, I shared the small with my girlfriend and it was more than enough for us and great little dessert. If you're in the Porter Ranch plazas, definitely come this place a try, it's nestled in between the restaurants and the AMC theater so it's always a good option after shopping, the movies, or dinner. The service inside does get a bit hectic at times. It was a little confusing, but overall a great experience. The ambiance is also cute and there's seating inside too. Plenty of parking outside.
Cute little gelato spot right by my house and it's absolutely delicious. I usually get the Cookie Monster, and it never disappoints. They make everything fresh, either daily or weekly, and you can taste the difference.I love gelato, so I'm here all the time and will definitely keep coming back.

I have to update my review as I've actually been here several times since my last review and just forgot to update my initial review. The matcha flavor is absolutely delightful and a go-to for me when I'm in the Porter Ranch area and craving something sweet. A couple times I've eaten inside the store and just admired the ambiance. It's so bright and cheery in there. The amount of gelato they give you is also great compared to other gelato places. I apologize for not updating my review sooner as this place really is a 5/5 for me.
Yummm!!! We got affogatos and gelato cups which were all great! I got an affogato with cookie butter gelato, YUM! The location is really cute, has a lot of seating, has good parking, and great service. The gals working were so kind and helpful in helping us choose the best flavors! My wife wanted to come grab dessert here after we finish eating out dinner next door. When we came they were not that busy. The staff were really nice, they let my wife sample some ice cream before making a selection. She sample the French vanilla, cookie and cream and mint chocolate. She decided to go with the two flavors in a cup. She went with dark chocolate and the mint chocolate gelato. The presentation of the ice cream in a cup was great. There some seating inside of the place or you can go outside and eat your ice cream. They also have cookies here as well. read more

Next on the husband's afternoon plans were dessert and a movie. He remembered Tifa the last time we were in Porter Ranch, so this was our first stop when we arrived. The customers ahead of us were finishing up as we walked in. The young woman who helped us was quite friendly as she let us sample some flavors. I chose the small cup that allows for 2 scoops/flavors -- Pistachio and Strawberry Rhubarb. The husband had a medium cup for 3 scoops/flavors -- Cookies & Cream, Dulce de Leche and Lemon Cookie. Every flavor was just YUM -- so rich and creamy! The fresh ingredients come through in every bite. I love the super-cute decor. Organized and clean. They have a few bistro tables inside with small vases of fresh flowers. Since it was a beautiful day and we had an hour before our movie started, we opted to sit outside where we found many comfortable seating options. It was a great first experience at Tifa. We will absolutely come back to try other flavors and sweet treats...the macarons were especially tempting. :) read more

Still so grateful that this little ice cream shop opened up in our neighborhood. Exactly what this plaza needed right in that little corner. So strategically located by the movie theaters and little play area where families and children tend to flock so business is always booming even though it's a bit tucked away. The service here is so accommodating and friendly. They've never once rushed me or anyone else around me for trying too many flavors or taking too long to decide. I love how delicious and creamy the ice cream is and also love that the flavors tend to rotate. I'm always spotting a new combo every time I come around. The gelato is super rich and creamy, flavors all taste fresh from whatever it's mixed in with. Also love the little cookie they always give. Great vibes inside! Super inviting and bright colors. Cats! And gelato of course! But really, Tifa is such a lovely and cozy gelato spot with a delicious variety of flavors and other sweet treats like cookies, macarons, brownies, and chocolate. They also offer drinking chocolate, coffee, and tea. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and was immediately welcomed in and offered a couple of samples. After sampling the Strawberry Balsamic flavor, I opted to get a small, which usually has the option of choosing two different flavors. I stuck with just strawberry balsamic though because I really loved the tartness and sweetness; it reminded me a bit of an original tart frozen yogurt with a strawberry cheesecake flavor. My partner got the Dark Chocolate in a cone and it was equally delicious! The gelato is creamy, smooth, and has a great flavor. Additionally, the space has comfortable seating and is cutely decorated with florals and cat-themed decor (which was my favorite part of all!). We will definitely be back to try more of the flavors. read more

TIFA wouldn't be the same without their super friendly and welcoming staff! I stopped by a few days ago and the service was easily a 5/5. I wish I jotted down her name -- I think it was Katrina or maybe Catherine? -- she greeted us as soon as we walked in and gave some great (and delicious) suggestions. She also made an amazing coffee (decaf latte & cappuccino) and had such a bubbly, personable energy -- the kind that instantly puts you in a good mood! I tried the coconut and pistachio macarons (the pistachio was my favorite!) along with a side of the dark cappuccino chocolate. After having lunch, we walked around the area to burn some of the calories only to add MORE calories. We got here and there was a line and some tables were occupied but still managed to find us a table to sit. I got the kids size which is not on the menu and is priced at $6 something. I was told I would still get to choose 2 flavors so I got the pistachio and dark chocolate. Both were okay. I wouldnt say they were the greatest as I found the pistachio to be a little on the sweet side for me. The dark chocolate was what you expect for a dark chocolate. He got cookies and cream and Elvis which he liked since he is a fan of peanut butter. The Elvis has peanut butter in it. One thing I will say is that they let you try as much flavors as you want. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The only downside is that they dont have a water container that you can just get from. Parking is vast. Part of the Vineyards shopping center. They have nearby EV charging stations powered by ChargePoint. Grabbed two scoops. Cookies and Cream and the second was an almond crunch flavor. Both were excellent. Girl that assisted me was friendly. Service and presentation was Excellent. Plenty of seating inside mainly for small groups. Their baked goods showcases looked incredible. Attempting to beat this massive September heat wave, my date and I decided to escape the 105 degree temperature and sneak into the lovely, air conditioned Tifa Chocolate & Gelato located at the Vineyards at Porter Ranch mall. During our visit, the all-female staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, all the way down to handing out free samples multiple kids to adults and kids alike. After a few tastes tastes, we decided to go with a Single Scoops of Dark Chocolate, Mint Chip and a great seasonal flavor, The Elvis (Peanut Butter, Banana, and hunka hunka Chocolate Chips. Thank you very much). My date also is a huge lavender lover, and decided to add a Lavender Honey Macaron to her dessert. The gelato is quite tasty. Rich, creamy, packed with delicious ingredients and flavor, all in a pretty good-sized amount starting at $6.50 for a Single Scoop (which you can select up to two flavors on). The macaron was also quite tasty, with the right amount of crispy soft exterior blended with a wonderfully smooth lavender honey interior. In addition to the gelato and macarons, there are also chocolates, cookies, coffees, and teas as well, offering customers a variety of drinks and desserts to satisfy. Prices might be a bit higher then one might expect, but the quality of the ingredients across all of the options justifies a premium product. About a half dozen seats inside, as well as a restroom for customers only. This is one of two dessert options at the Vineyards at Porter Ranch (also, See's Candies), and the quality is quite good. Stop in, feast your eyes on the goodies in the glowing glass display cases, grab a sample and treat yourself. You are worth it! read more
