This store is inside NorthPark, ideally located if you park on the ground floor of the garage on the Hwy 12 side, or on the top garage floor by Neiman Marcus if you come in that way (down the escalators to the bottom floor, and voila). An employee near the door greeted me as soon as I walked in, not even judging me by the jeans and sandals I was wearing--not what you normally think of as "Tiffany attire." I walked around looking in the cases, lasered in on finding that color-splash heart. It was toward one of the corners, and Ann M. greeted me within seconds of wrapping up with her previous customer. She was a delight to work with, and she even suggested a slightly different chain for this Tiffany heart since it's bigger than the one I was wearing. That was a great suggestion, as this chain looks better with the larger heart. I'll be back in a few weeks for my first Tiffany key... I went in to look at a gift for my daughter for her college graduation. Sana was amazing! She was kind and patient giving the perfect advice. I explained how I needed to bring my husband in for such a gift. She took my info. She texted me asking when my daughter's graduation was. When I told her we would be in shortly, she arraigned for Mehar to help us out giving her the information about the diamond sizes of necklace I had been looking at. Neither Sana or Mehar felt like sales people but more like the perfect spokesman for my daughter. They were lovely. I realize this was not the biggest sale of that day. Wow. Very disappointing. First initial meeting to locate the perfect engagement ring started out okay. Our sales associate was attentive but they did not have the quality and diamond sizes we desired. The associate located 3 potential diamonds and scheduled to have them in the Dallas store on an agreed date and time. My boyfriend purchased the Tiffany and Co. perfume as a gift for my birthday. Not long after, the spray nozzle stopped working. I brought it to the store to see if they could fix it or offer an exchange. Not only did they not fix it but told me to go to Nordstrom since they sell their line and see if they can fix it. Tiffany & Co makes a big deal about making "an appointment" for "personalized" service, so ok, I'll bite. Coming in for a simple platinum band that I can wear and abuse everyday without having the fear of damaging my diamond eternity band for daily use. I made the "personalized appointment" online, and soon thereafter, received a "personalized email" from a sales guy that he is looking forward to meeting us. Ok, good start with the "personalized acknowledgment." Hubby and I arrived 10 minutes before our "personalized appointment" and was immediately allowed into the Northpark store where security directed us to wait on a comfy couch. The sales guy greeted us with fancy suit and tie and showed us to the counter where an array of wedding bands were displayed under sparkling Tiffany lights. Mesmerizing sparkles indeed. Instead of showing us the shining baubles in the case, the sales guy proceeds to pull out an iPad to order any ring I wanted... oh, and he is glad to upsale for another overpriced bauble. Could I not sit in the comfort of my own couch to order online rather than battle Northpark parking to get "personalized service" on jewelry that is easily 50% more than a local jeweler because of the Tiffany name? I've visited Tiffany & Co. on several occasions. The 1st time was when I bought my sister a necklace for her 40th birthday about 4 years ago. I can tell you it was the most nerve wrecking experience. I looked a complete mess that day. I had been running errands all day and this was my final stop. I was completely disheveled. I walked in with nothing but the print out of the necklace from the website and my money. The security guard was so kind. He welcomed me into the store with a smile. He noticed I had the print out and immediately contacted someone for assistance. I was then greeted by a Sales Professional who graciously ushered me to the section where my piece was located. She talked about the collection and just the overall quality of Tiffany pieces. Once she was done she boxed up the necklace and out I went. Fast forward to my more recent visit and the level of customer service is still superb. I went in this time to purchase myself two rings. Unfortunately, one of the rings available was a half size too big. No worries! My sales professional Keila was able to order the ring I needed. She stated when it would be delivered to the store and other details. My ring arrived exactly on the date she provided. Keila wasn't at work the day I picked up my ring. So I walked into this T&Co location and wanted to get my ring cleaned. Iwas greeted by the security guy but none of the SA's even acknowledged my presence. Whatever, I was there for a ring cleaning anyway. I proceeded to the Customer Service area and the lady working the area was slow like a sloth! After waiting over 5 minutes, the security guy asks me if I rang the buzzer. I had forgotten to, but that's alright because there were two girls in one party waiting to get their jewelry back. He still rang the bell for me. After nearly 10 minutes of waiting, she finally finishes with the party immediately ahead of me. I told her that I wanted to get my ring cleaned, but she replied that it would take 3-4 hours....seriously? Whenever I go to a T&Co store and ask for this service, they normally take my ring and tell me to come back in as little as 20 minutes or up to 2 hours. =/ Maybe it's because life moves a little slower in Texas. I asked if there were any other options (side stones? pave? Color?). He told me that it was the Tiffany signature ring with no other options. He then proceeded to rush me out the door, telling me to come back when I was ready to buy. It felt like he was taking out the trash. We waited for what seemed like an eternity for any of the sales associates to stop by and help us. Actually, it was an eternity - during the time we were waiting, my mother-in-law said that she didn't think that the necklace was worth it and talked my wife out of buying it. Of course Tiffany gets 5 starts... I mean, they are the best of the best. But aside from that, if they had been pretentious and/or snobby, they certainly would have lost a star or two. Quite the contrary, Barry, the salesperson I spoke with, was the most polite and professional person I spoke with in the whole process. He was completely unassuming. That is, he didn't escort me out the door when I walked in NOT wearing a $10,000 suit. Nor did he assume that my mere being there meant I was going to spend a ton. Actually, Tiffany is not totally overpriced. The prices are higher, but so is the quality of the diamonds. Furthermore, they are designer rings. I suppose I toute designer rings since that is what I ultimately chose for Rachel -- just not a Tiffany ring. Regarding the diamonds, Tiffany actually has a patented way of cutting the diamonds, so they truly are unlike others bought a different store. They (at Tiffany) say that the cut makes it more brilliant, but I think a GIA/AGS ideal cut is probably the same or at least very close. All in all, I wouldn't have spent much more if I had gotten the ring from Tiffany as opposed to Bailey Banks and Biddle -- assuming I had purchased the entire ring (i.e. diamond included) at BB&B. (As you'll read in my reviews to come, I got the main diamond elsewhere). But really, I give all my stars to Barry. Although I ultimately didn't buy from Tiffany, Barry definitely made the experience a good one. I could see an anniversary gift coming from Tiffany (don't tell Rachel). read more

I'd never walked into a Tiffany & Co store before today. My husband and I were at the mall to see a movie and shop a bit. We are 12 years married but are going on our 'honeymoon' in December. We'll travel to Frankfurt, spend NYE in Prague and then on to Rome for the final leg of the trip. We never had a wedding. We never really had wedding rings. But we always wanted to have a wedding in a castle in Prague. That isn't in the cards for this trip but planning the trip made us sentimental for that experience and we've been discussing a private, personal commitment ceremony along with new and forever rings. We ventured into Tiffany because it was in our sights and we want something special. I had my doubts because as well known as they are, I'd imagined very cookie-cutter, typical pieces. Initially, we found ourselves looking at a darling silver and onyx ring but it wasn't available in my size and it was more costume than 'forever'. A very nice lady associate helped us to another counter with the 'Gatsby' line. There were two rings that I adored. One was onyx with a daisy on it. The other had diamonds. One was about $600 and the other was about $1700. Both were in my size. I was conflicted. I really preferred the daisy ring but felt it might be a little too quaint. The other was nice but it was silver. Actually, we discovered that they both were silver. So... We backed away wanting a more precious metal. Our sales rep led us to the wedding bands. We didn't want diamonds. Just simple gold bands. The sales lady introduced us to Taylor, specialized in wedding rings. She left and before Taylor could get a word in, the manager interrupted and took over the 'sales process'. Which was a joke. He introduced himself, gave us the stink eye and then proceeded to ask my husband what he wanted. My husband said gold, not shiny. He then told us that they don't have white gold. Only platinum. We said, that's fine. He then said- they only have shiny. Nothing matte. He said he wished they'd offered it but they just don't. We stood there, still expecting alternative options. Instead he told us to go to another store. He gave the names or two other companies that might have more of what we were looking for. His body language was clear... Get out. We don't want your business. I was immediately insulted and disgusted that I even walked into the store. I will never buy a thing from Tiffany. There are so many exceptional jewelers who craft unique and beautiful pieces. I don't want to say that price isn't an issue, but we were prepared to buy whatever we fell in love with tonight. If you want to be dismissed and rejected, go to this store and ask for the manager. read more

It is with great pain that I write this follow-up... My wife and I are regular patrons of Tiffany & Co. I have shopped at numerous Tiffany stores and have typically had the same great level of customer service...unfortunately, my last visit to the Northpark Tiffany will most likely be my last. My wife and I stopped into Northpark to see a movie and afterwards we stopped by a couple of stores. My wife mentioned she would like to drop by Tiffany because there was something she had seen online that she wanted. So, based on my previous five-star experience, I was more than happy to take her by the store. First of all, we have platinum Tiffany wedding bands...in both this location and the one at the Galleria, we have been able to give our bands to a salesperson and they would take them back to have them cleaned while we shopped and/or made our purchase. This visit, when I asked an associate if we could have our rings cleaned while we looked around, she promptly advised us that we would have to take the rings back to "customer service" to have them cleaned. This was in addition to her attitude that I was wasting her time. I was a little taken aback, but thought maybe that particular salesperson was having a bad day or was new. I'm not sure if it is a new policy, but I definitely felt like we were not being treated like we normally are at a Tiffany's. Anyway, my wife found what she was looking for and I got the attention of a salesman. I asked him if we could see the item. Mind you, this was just something we were picking up for no particular reason and it was on the lower end of the Tiffany's spectrum, coming in at $125. The salesman made this "oh" sound like he didn't want to waste his time with us and our measly $125 purchase. He pulled out the item and told him we wanted to buy it. While I was handing over my credit card, I asked him if we could get our rings cleaned, just to see if we had bad luck with the previous salesperson. He gave me the same line about going back to customer service. If this particular Tiffany is changing their policy on taking care of existing customers that do regular business with them, it is inconvenient, but it would be nice to know beforehand. All in all, to be treated like my patronage is not worth the time and not needed has brought me to the decision to NOT visit the Northpark store again. My regular business will be going to the Galleria store, where they know how to treat customers. read more

I never thought I'd ever purchase anything from this store before getting married. I guess since we have to wear these things around our fingers for the rest of our lives, it was at least worth being open-minded about. Sure enough, this is where we bought our wedding bands (not the same thing as the engagement ring young'ns). We're happy with our rings and we were very happy with the service that we got at this particular location. It has always been a step up from the Tiffany in Atlanta and in Houston in my few experiences. I thought Craig, a previous assistant manager, was really helpful and proactive. We didn't think they would have a ring within our budget but boy were we wrong! Barry was our salesperson and he was beyond amazing. He was very knowledgeable and supportive on what we wanted within our price range. He found ring options from other stores and had them sent in for us to look at. My fiance was very happy and excited to have found her ring. We could not have done that without Barry's help. We were so happy with our purchase that we also referred my fiance's sister to Barry. Again, just the best service all around. He shared his knowledge and brought in countless ring options until they found the one. Never once did we feel pressured to buy anything or at any price. We told him what we were looking for and he made it happen. Every girl wants a Tiffany ring and that elusive blue box. My fiance goes in on a monthly basis to have her ring cleaned free of charge and it only takes a few minutes. The customer service is impeccable! So when you to go to Tiffany's....ask for Barry! Both times I have went here I already had in mind what I was going to purchase (thanks to the website) but the customer service was good, they even steam cleaned my grandmothers Tiffany & Co ring for free while I was looking for what I came to get. I wish the store stayed open as late as the mall did, once I got there and they had just closed and it was around 6 or 7pm when all the other stores stayed open till 9pm in the mall so look up store hours before you go. read more
