I am so FURIOUS. I took my daughter's sweet 16 dress for a cleaning. I received a receipt stating that they were going to charge me $35. I was surprised by that price but accepted it. I went today to pick it up. I gave the lady my card thinking that it was going to be the price she quoted me at. She changed my card $170!!! Not even close to what she originally stated. I asked why did she charge me so much more. She stated it was a big dress. I responded, that I understood it was a big dress and that if it was going to cost a lot more money then what she quoted, she should have called me and informed me. She said she asked her assistant to call me since she took the dress, which is a lie since she was the one that receivedthe dress.. Neither the owner or her assistant called me. She is the owner it is her responsibility to make sure things are communicated. Owner did not take responsibility for anything. All she could say is that I'm sorry. Well I'm not sorry for not going back. Tiffany's Tailoring was a HUGE life saver after another tailor totally ripped me off and made horrible alterations to an expensive wool suit I needed to wear to an upcoming wedding. The seamstress was so kind and was able to fix my botched pants and blazer in just a couple of days. And when I realized the length of the pants was still wrong (not her fault!), she had me come in and shortened the pants on the spot. They looked perfect! I'm 5'2" so my pants always need to be hemmed. I found Tiffany's via a Google search. I was really impressed with the quality of stitching. My mom used to be a seamstress so I'm particular with the types of stitching. I'm a huge fan of overlock stitching, double stitched seams and double top stitches done properly. Google these stitchings! These details matter when it comes to ironing or how clothes will lay while worn. The pricing is fair for the quality. I plan on coming back for other alterations. Instead, I was shocked to find a visible blood stain on the fabric--something that absolutely should not happen under any circumstances, especially at a professional tailoring service. What made this worse wasn't just the stain itself, but the complete lack of accountability. When I pointed it out, there was no apology, no explanation, and no offer to fix the issue or even clean the dress. Just a shrug and a vague "we don't know how that happened." They do a great job but I was quoted $28 to dry clean two jackets and upon pickup she let know the total was actually $40 and that she misquoted me during drop off. I also remember clarifying that both were $28 to dry clean and she confirmed. Now she is saying that the material is heavier and the pricing was given to her by a different company that's used for dry cleaning??? Total lies. That is simply shady and I won't be returning. I had my shirt hemmed here. I noticed one of the sleeves was not sewed on properly and left a nasty hole. I know it was from here because I haven't used the shirt. I used to like Tiffany's because they were quick and inexpensive. Now I'm regretting why I ever came. They ruined my shirt! As for the price, I was charged $13 for the hem. There's another tailoring place on Broadway which cost me $26 for hemming a shirt, but the quality is a mile away compared to Tiffany's. I don't ever have to worry about getting my shirts messed up. I ordered some graduation stoles from a website online, but after several days of waiting, they still had not come in. (I was scammed) The morning of my graduation, I rushed to Joann's and found some fabric. I called several places but no one would agree to having it done that day. BUT THEN!!! When I called Tiffany, she wasn't sure what a graduation stole was but still she said "let me take a look at what you want" I knew graduation stoles werent a common request but she managed to get it done in an hour! (ALL SHE HAD WAS A PICTURE TO USE FOR REFERENCE--no physical sample) I grabbed some iron on letters from michaels and went back to her and we worked on it together. She did it at a VERY reasonable price and I know that it was because she saw I was a kid and knew I had already spent money on the stoles that had never come in. This review is not in response to their work but their customer service. I walked into their shop and the lady seemed very cold towards me. She said hello and just kinda stood there. I gave her my items of clothing and explained to her what I wanted done and she pretty much didn't say anything. All conversations were initiated by me. I then asked should I go try the items on and she said I needed to wait for another woman who was n the dressing room so I said ok and sat down to wait. About 10 mins goes by and a man walks in with some clothes and she greets him with a smile on her face and he says he needs tailoring on some items and she has him try them on immediately. Initially, I was annoyed because I had already been waiting so long but then I realized he didn't need the fitting room because he could slip the jackets on over his clothes so I got over it. Then the lady that was n the dressing room comes out and the seamstress tells the man who walked in AFTER ME to go in and try on his clothes. I asked why is he going in before me that's not right and she says "o he only has one item to try on in there it will be quick and you have three, yours will take longer." At that point I just got up and walked out. I sat there for over 10 mins waiting for the woman in the room to come out and another customer walks in AFTER ME and gets to go before me?? So how long was I supposed to wait 20 mins 30 mins?? As opposed to him waiting for me the same way I had to wait on the woman who was there before me?? It was very rude!! The energy was bad in there and I felt like she didn't care how I felt and my time was of no value at all. read more

Besides dry cleaning, there's been numerous times I visited their shop to fix my jeans that fit too big on the waist, or too long on me.
