I have eaten many shawarmas, and this was by far the greasiest. The brown paper bag was completely soaked through and dripping with oil. The shawarma itself had a decent flavor; if it hadn't been for the oily mess, I would consider returning. Unfortunately, the accompanying hummus was also the thinnest I have ever had. Given the poor presentation and consistency of the food, I'm glad there are many other great options in the area for shawarmas and Middle Eastern cuisine.

This is a decent place for Middle Eastern food in the Central and Secor commercial area. It is a walk-up and order format. The dining room is very small. Eating in is just a convenience there. They're better set for takeaway. The person behind the counter was very pleasant and accommodating. We had the House Special with Fries and the Shish Tawook Sandwich. Both were fairly tasty. Unfortunately for them, while the food is good, Toledo is a very competitive town for Middle Eastern fare and they really just don't stand out. Nonetheless, I was prepared to give them a 4-star rating, but they lose a star in my book for charging the same price for a cup of water that they charge for a fountain drink ($2.34). They should re-think that policy.

What? Another middle eastern fast food joint in Toledo? These places seem like they're a dime a dozen. Actually, they are. So I'll keep it short... Shawarma & More is better than average. It features: Good hours. Open late. Good prices. 30 bucks for 3 people. Very good service. Friendly and accommodating. Good food. The beef shawarma has a particularly nice flavor. The gyro? Stick with UpSide in Sylvania. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. 4 to 5 stars!

Really nice location to eat. Great atmosphere. But the food Oh-My-Word it is sooo good. Had the house special Beef Shawarma platter. It is killer. This is a must try place.

    Hummus is worth the price.

My first time here, wonderful food and super nice people running the place. You can definitely feel the family vibe here - it's very warm and welcoming. Cozy place in a shopping center with easy parking. I had the chicken lemon rice soup and a supreme bowl with gyro meat and a bunch of wonderful toppings! You decide whether you want a pita or a bowl, then you pick your protein, toppings and sauces, and any sides that you might like. If you still have room after your main course you can select from a number of delicious desserts. Everything is really super flavorful which I really appreciated. I can assure you the next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop here again. I recommend you give this place a try - I think you'll be very happy.

The Mediterranean Latte is my usual go-to, sweetened with honey (they offer other sugar substitutes as well!). It's like a warm hug. They always have several excellent seasonal flavors as well, so we try those every time. This winter, the Peppermint Mocha and the Cinnamon Latte are delightful. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They remember us even tho we are only here twice a year, and I find that very sweet. We have had their bowls as well, all of which were good quality. There are lots of protein, topping, and sauce choices. They have grab n go desserts and some side dish items in the cooler with the sodas (they have Coke *and* Pepsi products). This location is clean, bright and warm with a clean restroom (for customers only) and some outdoor tables to enjoy in the warmer months. We have been and will be back many many more times to come!

While I did not experience the ambiance at Grape Leaf Diner today, I can say from a past visit that the atmosphere is clean, bright with lots of windows, and with comfortable chairs and booths. The restaurant is located near or within a small strip mall at the Holland, OH location. (The Grape Leaf Express location in Toledo, OH located on Monroe St near Franklin Park Mall is also in a strip mall.) The food ordered today included chicken shawarma, yellow rice with vegetables (green beans, corn and peas), hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. There was also a dish of grilled vegetables that included squash and zucchini. While I didn't want to be rude and photograph food in the middle of the party, I took some screenshots posted by the restaurant to give you an idea of the food presentation. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Hummus was perfectly flavored. I always wish that Mediterranean rice had more vegetables, though it was delicious. I found the chicken shawarma a bit salty, but I'm salt-sensitive, so most people probably would love it; the meat was lean. As for the zucchini and squash vegetables, they looked delicious but we didn't have plastic knives, and I couldn't manage to cut them or eat them with the plastic forks. It was a beautiful presentation and I recommend that you give this restaurant a try! A tip for summer weather: the A/C was cranked up high when I was last there... maybe bring a jacket or sweater if you tend to run cold.
