One of my favorite restaurants in Toledo. I've eaten here dozens of times. I normally get carry-out and take it with me to eat at the office. I order the Medieterranean Junk Salad with a side of rice and a chocolate chip cookie. The salad . . . so many vegetables! Two kinds of meat! Crispy pita chips! Big enough to fill me up and often leave a bit leftover. The cookies. Some of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had anywhere. They are super thin and an amazing crispy/chewy texture. They told me once that the special ingredient that makes them that way is marshmallow. If you're ordering carry-out, you might want to order on the phone rather than the website. They prioritize phone orders, or at least they did last time I asked. Online orders take longer to fill. And you get a discount for your birthday if you sign up for their texts. The few times I've eaten in, I've liked it too. Very nice ambiance. I hope they eventually will extend their hours back to the pre-pandemic hours and be open for dinner more days of the week. But if the current hours are what works for their business model, then I'm just happy to have them around. Their location in Perrysburg is also very good. Came on a cold day but for some reason a salad sounded good. I ordered the falafel salad, took an order number sign and sat down to wait. And I waited a while! Didn't think to time it until I'd been seated for a bit, but I'm guessing I waited a bit over 15 minutes. Not terrible, though a little more than expected, considering the place was only half full. Fortunately, once my meal came I enjoyed it. The falafel was broken up and spread across the top so it mixed nicely with the tahini dressing. Lettuce and other veggies were crisp. Delicious Mediterranean food ordered at the counter for quick service. The salads have just the right amount of tangy dressing & ample portions- even with side salads. I highly recommend the Greek, the Fattoush and the junk salad. The pita chips on the fattoush are delicate & crisp. I come for the healthy salads with meat add on options. That said- dessert, beer & wine are available. The brownie is my personal favorite. Food is served in compostable bowls with silverware available, which I appreciate. I don't usually write reviews, but it's so good I can't not tell the world! The feta chicken bowl is beyond incredible. I could eat it on the regular, just a little pricey. The feta dressing is my absolute fave (order extra and add it to a Greek or tabbouli salad!), but the seasoning on the chicken and veggies is outstanding on its own. My kids love the pita grilled cheese and hummus with pita chips - last night my picky nibbler didn't leave a single crumb behind! Kids meals are well priced. You like Zingo's Mediterranean in Perrysburg, but you hate driving out to candy-ass "P-Burg?" Yeah, me too. Well, now you can come here instead! Not that this neighborhood is rock-hard or anything, but at least THIS incarnation of Zingo's, located on the backside of Cricket West, is in Toledo. Pretty much everything about this Zingo's is the same, or better, than the other store. The location is better. The menu/food is (essentially) the same. The service is the same. The atmosphere? Different but equivalent. The beverages in this store are superior, primarily because a small section of beer is available in this location. If you want to split hairs, there are obviously some differences between the two Zingo locations, but in general, don't plan on rejecting the null hypothesis. Best thing here? The Mediterranean Junk Salad. It's that high protein, low carb, moderate fat meal that your guns are screaming for, and that your waistline needs. The gyro is great, too. After being a faithful patron at Zingo's for many years, ordering the red lentil soup regularly, we received a 32 ounce container of lentil soup and a bowl that was so salty it could not be eaten. Upon calling to try to remedy our situation, we were told because no one else complained, they would not do anything to resolve this other than offer a five dollar credit for $20 worth of soup. I have the soup, and I can take it back to show we did not eat it. I could understand if I was a first time visitor and had never eaten the soup before, but that was not the case and the soup was not edible. Loyalty apparently means nothing. read more

First Bria took my order. I added all kinds of things to my already overloaded salad. She got the order perfect and was smiling the whole time. Her shift ended while my sister and I was eating. I got the gyros sandwich which are quite nice, not overly oily, and spiced just right. The zingo style wraps are much more carb conscious than regular pitas and a nice change to regular gyro. Pita chips are awesome, they are crispy but they aren't too hard to the pallete, light and delicate, love it. The ambience is nice and the restaurant is nice and clean. I can only truly speak to my most experience with zingo's being in perrysburg but have been to the Toledo location once or twice got to go food. It's unfortunately not the best food to get to-go, with so much bread being a part of the meal but that's anywhere & my personal thing. However, I've always loved their classic original gyro & love love love their pita chips. Whenever, we've eaten inside the staff is friendly, slightly less present than most ideal in restaurant, but I don't mind not being smothered. Have taken my children & they were accommodating. The perrysburg location I love the downtown scene, but when you're sat to the direct left of the entry, it does kind of feel like you're right against the line/walk way. Which isn't a complaint if you're looking for somewhere to get in & out of & not spend your entire evening as dinner being the main event. I will say that I recently ate their, I believe, new, Buffalo chicken gyro style sandwich, it was amazing! Definitely getting that again soon, wouldn't mind seeing it as a staple item on the menu. I placed a order this afternoon with grub hub and half of my order not delivered and my other half of the order was missing the tangy garlic sauce on my sandwich. I placed a call to Zingos to see if I even had the correct order and I was told that the order was correct because they took the order over the phone from the grub hub driver- and they blamed it on the grub hub driver. I stated that the grub hub driver did not make my sandwich the wrong way and I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting on the phone for over 5 minutes the individual came back to tell me that the manager was busy and could not take take my call. I then proceeded to inquire on how this situation was going to be corrected and the individual stated that this is why they do not do business with grub hub and I would have to take it up with grub hub. So- I said "if you do not do business with grub hub then how did I just receive a order from Zingos that I ordered online?" She replied that she did not know. I then asked her how she was going to fix this and she replied "I DONT KNOW." Worst customer service ever! read more

We LOVE Zingo's!! My family and I have eaten at both locations quite a bit....ok, A LOT. The food is amazing -- healthy AND delicious. The service is consistently great. The atmosphere is inviting. It's also quite reasonably priced. And now that there is a location in Toledo [Cricket West], we eat there even more! First time ever eating Mediterranean food and I decided to try out Zingo's because I read many great reviews over the place, all in all the food was great ! But the customer service from one in particular was terrible. I was helped by a young lady by the name of Rayven, she was very impatient with me and her tone of voice changed to a more irritated tone when I asked for help on deciding what to try. I can't say it won't be my last time eating food from there but just to avoid future trouble hopefully she gets her attitude towards customers under control. read more
