This is the dingiest, most ratchet place I've ever eaten at. The walls look like people were trying to claw their way out from the intense spices used in the food here, the whole establishment looks stuck in the 90s, and the tables are pretty much the only intact pieces of furniture here. Even the chairs were not spared. I love this aesthetic!!!! Night It Up was happening but I didn't want to get stepped on, so I yelped "skewers" and this place came up. Dude also wanted skewers but most places were closed except this glorious palace that closes at 2 AM!! This place was bopping at 11pm. The owner def knows their market. Let me just tell you now that you come to this place for the food, NOT for the service or ambience or atmosphere. We got pretty much 0 service (literally 0 words were exchanged the entire time except for "Do you still want this", and that was in Mandarin), there was none of the fake customer service happening where they ask about my day (because let's be honest, which server ACTUALLY cares about how my day went? We came to eat, not to make new friends). Lighting was very meh and no one asked us how the food was or to see if we were alive. Menu is in all simplified Chinese. Dude doesn't read and I only read traditional but I was able to guess 85% of the menu, which was still effective. Great experience! The food came super fast and they even gave us a freebie :) I think that was a mistake but again, no one came to check on us so we're like ayyyy score. Skewers are not their only thing but they also have stir fries, noodles/rice dishes, vegetables, some desserts (which I've overlooked because I was so hungry), and beer. Beer is super cheap here... $3 for a Molson bottle so if you're looking to watch a sports game on your phone with some cheap beer, this is the place. They have Wi-Fi nearby... I don't remember where I leeched that off from. We ordered 16 skewers and 3 skewers of sausage came free. This was a total of $30 INCLUDING tax and tip! RIDONKADONK. Best thing I really liked was sausage and lamb. Squid was great too. In total, we ate 8 lamb skewers, 6 sausages, 2 squid, 2 ribs, ... and I forgot the very last skewer that we had. For next time, I want to try their fried ice cream and see how it compares to other Chinese places. DEF RECOMMEND. If you're hungry, this is the place to go! I adore Asian Barbecue. My brother and I often barbecue hop to try multiple restaurants in one evening. Just thinking about barbecue makes me salivate! We visited Tiger BBQ twice. Both times we were not satisfied with the skewers. My brother felt their lamb skewers ($4.99) are on an average smaller than other restaurant in the same category. Cabbage skewers ($4.99) are partly undercooked. As well, cost slightly more ($1) than other restaurants. Limited vegetarian barbecue options. Amazing bbq place! My family and I have came here twice and every time just gets better! Staff is so friendly and welcoming, one of the servers remembered us and served us very quickly which was a definite plus. The spices used for their kabobs are unique and compliments the meats very well. Would recommend trying the lamb skewers and lean beef. As those two are my favourite. They are also well known for their hot pots (pork belly) is very good in my opinion and the meat is very fresh and tender. Explosive Diarrhea confirmed is real. Returned for the cabbage only for further disappointment from this filthy establishment. A solid 4 star... maybe even 4.5 because the food is still very much affordable and spiced just right. I've been to several places that serve the lamb and beef skewers. Most places overload on the spices making it extra spicy, but this place does it just right! Awesome place for skewers! Been here multiple times but finally reviewing it now! The skewers are spicy and some are quite a salty (which I like) - unfortunately it seems they've bumped up the prices. Lamb skewers used to be $4.99/4 skewers but it's now $5.99/4 skewers. Either way, my favourites are the leek, lamb, chicken cartilage, and beef skewers; I also really like their cold noodles, grilled small fish (my favourite, must try!! ) and mushroom dish too! I was not a big fan of the grilled lettuce (bit bitter, perhaps undercooked?), squid kebab (tough) or the corn (tough as well) . The dumplings weren't bad either (average tbh) and the veggie dish was too oily and spicy (can't remember the name of the dish). Was very full by the end and satisfied. Ordered a pitcher of beer for ~$7 which I thought was an awesome deal. The servers were nice and didn't say much but abided to every request we needed. The food comes out at a decent time and once it comes out, it basically comes all at once - love that! The place is not too loud during the evening but near the night it definitely can. My favourite thing about this place is that it opens until 2am which allows me to satisfy my cravings late at night haha! Plenty of parking space too. Taking away one star now. The food at least the ones I order are still good. But their quality of service has severely declined. Gone at the call buttons and what's left are two waitresses that are more focused on their tablet and smartphone respectively than the customers. The saving grace they have is the food I usually order which are. BBQ Lean beef skewers BBQ beef fat skewers BBQ lamb skewers BBQ steamed bun BBQ potato slices I didn't have room for BBQ Corn As before the spice they've put simply enhances the taste of the ingredients rather than masking things to the point they all taste the same. We did order something that was lacklustre. Their seafood fried rice didn't use old dried rice and what ends up happening is it tastes very bland that even adding some of the BBQ beef on it didn't bring it to an enjoyable level. So for future reference just stick with steam rice or have more BBQ steamed bun or even BBQ potato slices if we need to carbo load. All in all the experience was enhanced by bringing a friend who has never been here. His comment would be that this is a place to go with drinking buddies to have a cold one. read more

I'm terribly disappointed at the quality of its takeout seafood chew mien. There's barely anything in there except for oil, salt and noodles. I dug through the pile of noodles, and I could only find 2 teeny tiny baby shrimps and a handful of pathetic squid tentacles, literally 1 CM each. It costed me 7.99+ tax. I've checked in here 15 times, but I know I have been here way more times than that. I come here at least once a month now because the service is always good and the food quality always consistent. We usually always order the Guo Ba Rou which is worth every dollar. It comes with a generous portion size. Lamb skewers always delicious, no gamy taste. Fried fish (4 pcs), another hit, just chew the head carefully. Sliced spicy tofu sheets - this is how I could consider becoming a vegetarian. Any of the potato dishes - sliced or fried, you can't go wrong. TRY this place. Open late and everything I have tried so far is delicious. I recently had the cold noodle soup, me gusta. From the outside, this place may not look impressive, but they do serve good food! After having dinner near this area, we quickly stopped by for savory snacks instead of desserts. This place is a traditional Sichuan place that offers Sichuab boiled fish, kebabs including meats and vegetable variety, and my favourite glass noodles. The decor is so-so, as I usually wouldn't walk into a place that does not look extremely clean. The place just have a greasy feel to it, and I think this maybe due to the food they serve here. The kebabs were good, but they were not spectular with a pop of cumin flavour which I love on lamb Kebaba. The beef kebabs were really tasty with really fresh spices and meaty flavours. As for the chicken soft bones kebabs, they were well seasoned with a slight hint of sweetness. The cabbage kebabs were excellent though. My favourite would be the Sichuan boiled fish with the wonderful spicy aroma from the herbs and spices. It tasted delicious; however, I would prefer the fish bones to be taken out of the fish before it is cooked. There were like a lot of bones that I have to pick up which is not something I like to do when I am eating. The dishes were a little pricey for the quality also. I was with 3 other freinds and it was around $30 per person. I love this style of food and I feel this place has a lot of potential to be excellent. This place is a great alternative to a place like Yang's BBQ. Compared to Yang's they are less busy, so there is usually no wait time and less smoky interior. The food quality is not the same as Tiger seems to use spice that is somewhat different in flavour. Tiger has dishes made with fresh fish but comes with a price, roughly $20-30 each. Whenever I come here they only give me a checkoff list for menu selections written in Chinese. I can read it but I wonder if it is available in English. read more

Beef with Fat gets all the stars. 4.5 people and the bill came down to $81: 4 plates of beef with fat (with 4 skewers each), 2 plates lamb skewers (we asked for one plate spicy and one mild and they obliged us), 1 plate frog legs (super spicy heavenly), 1 plate chicken hearts, 1 ginormous bowl of seaweed egg drop soup, 2 scallion pancakes, 1 noodle dish which was divine. Their cold noodles is what makes them shine, as well as cheap beer and good North East China good eats. To be honest I would rate this half a star if I could soley based on their service which was good. But as for the food....so I ordered 4 basic dishes that I thought are pretty common for a mainland chinese bbq restaurant such as the bbq lamb skewers, bbq beef skewers, bbq sausages, and lamb noodle soup and they came out very disappointing. For starters, I my first dish, the bbq sausages were not sausages at all! Clearly, they were american style hot dogs cut into quarters with cumin sprinkled on. This was $4 for 4 quarter pieces!! What the heck! Then came the bbq lamb and beef which I couldn't even tell the difference based on the color and texture. Why were they all the same grey color? Isn't the beef suppose to be brown??! On top of that each piece was the size of my pinky nail, and each stick was the length of my pinky! No smokey flavor, very chewy too. Lastly, the lamb noodles had no lamb flavor in the soup whatsoever. The lamb slices were tough and tasted dry. The soup was clearly chicken broth that I can make with plain water and chicken powder. And the noodles had absolutely no bite to it. They were definitely no hand made! I'm pretty sure they were those packaged dry noodles from the grocery store next door... Big disappointment.
