5/5 -- A Ponchatoula Gem You Have to Try…read more If you ever find yourself anywhere near Ponchatoula, do yourself a favor and stop at Toula Burger on W Pine Street. I walked in expecting a good burger... I walked out questioning why every other burger in my life hasn't been held to this standard. From the jump, the vibe feels like what a small-town Louisiana burger spot should be: warm, welcoming, and buzzing with people who clearly know they're in for something special. You can tell the crew cares -- not just about making food, but about creating a place the community is proud of. I ordered the signature burger, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the kind of bite that makes you pause. Perfectly seasoned beef, cooked exactly how I asked, layered with toppings that taste thoughtfully chosen rather than thrown together. The bun held everything like a champ -- soft enough to enjoy, sturdy enough to keep the whole experience tidy. It's the little things, and they nail every one. The fries? Golden, salty, addictive. The kind of fries you keep eating even after you're full because "just one more" somehow becomes ten. What really stood out, though, was the service. Ponchatoula is known for its hospitality, but the folks at Toula Burger take it to another level. Genuine smiles, real conversations, and you can feel the pride they have in what they've built. It's refreshing. To the owners: Y'all created something special here. You've got a spot that feels rooted in community but tastes like it belongs on a national "must-try" list. I'd love to know more about the inspiration behind the menu -- especially what led you to craft a burger that balanced richness and freshness so perfectly. Keep doing what you're doing; the attention to detail shows. I'll absolutely be back -- and I'll be bringing people with me.

I'm really sad that I could not give this cute burger place 5 stars. Here is why. This is my first…read moretime here, but my husband has been here a couple of other times. He is a burger aficionado. While the hand patted Burger is fantastic, my husband commented that every single time he has been there the fries are lukewarm. I opted for a hand battered shrimp Poboy. The batter was really good. Served freshly fried. If you're weird about veins in your shrimp, these are not deveined shrimp. The problem is that the bread to shrimp ratio is off. It's a really thick bread. The restaurant atmosphere is so quaint and homey. The staff was so friendly. I can chalk the bread thing up to personal preference but they need to do better with hot fries.

I am nit a you must have a port o call or swamp room burger person…read more The location must be new. So I will go back. Working in a kitchen that sells a $26 burger( with fries) this is not a post about the price but yet the quality. the sear on the burger was magnificent. the bun is the average potato bun. the fries were bought from restaurant depot. this makes me wonder if the meat is also from the depot. the patty was aggressively seasoned. the cheese options are non existent. i had one slice of tomato and three slices of pickles. i try to dress my burger where every bite consists of all flavors. also i paid for bacon thinking that it would enhance the burger. It did not. one broken piece that was nicely cooked. they ran out of Brussels and ketchup to go. the napkins were c-folds just placed on a table. Atomic burger, Backyard nola, Shake Shack, Company etc are much better at the moment. I would go back to try again.

The fries were good as well, just on the thinner side. Service was great and I had no issues there. However, cleanliness is where this place loses stars. The food trays were stored outside in a crate next to the trash can, which was concerning. The outside tables were a bit dirty, and the inside was uncomfortably hot to eat in. Overall, my main concern was food sanitation more than anything else. Because of that, I'd have to think about returning and would possibly consider trying a different location that may be cleaner.
