This place is hands down my favorite place in the whole of Baton Rouge, LA! Who doesn't want a 5lb bucket of crawfish? My husband and I ate one bucket each, which might sound like a lot but it was absolutely perfect. The crawfish are full of meat and taste amazingly fresh. We loved them so much that we tried to go multiple times whilst in the area. The Daiquiri's are also brilliant, and at 100 proof we only needed on each to have a good time. Along with our buckets of crawfish we also had a pitcher of purple haze beer which was refreshing and a great companion to our little crawdads. If you find yourself in Baton Rouge you have to get yourself here because you won't find value, atmosphere, or quality like it anywhere else! read more

This is my favorite place to eat crawfish in Baton Rouge. Not only are the crawfish the best, but the drinks are pretty tasty as well. It's also nice that there are pool tables, darts, and a jukebox to make for a pretty fun evening. My only complaint is that it is very smoky in there. read more

Not sure why all the reviewers love this place. I went to catch up with two friends for dollar hamburger night. I've probably driven by it thousands of times in my life, but finally decided to stop in. Like others have mentioned, it was hard to breathe in the bar due to the smoke - maybe wear a ventilator when you go. The hamburger was really dry and overdone, kind of like eating a piece of cardboard. Also, the bartender was all about that buddy lingo. I'm not your buddy, so don't "buddy" me. Three times in the course of a two minute conversation is excessive. The patio area outside is nice, though, home to a nice tabby cat who prowls the grounds. read more

I heard this bar served crawfish and wanted to give it a try. Coming into the establishment, you see it is very dark and only light is at the bar and a little bit into the back room. It was a bit smokey when walking in. There were daiquiri making machines along the wall behind the bar. The bar was filled with people drinking and eating crawfish. It took about 10 mins to get the attention of a bartender. I ordered crawfish and got 3 lbs with an order of mushrooms. My order came out quickly and smelled good and spicy. The crawfish tasted good. Spicy and salty. It was a bit more saltier than what I enjoy, but was still good. There was, however a bunch of dead crawfish in the mix unfortunately. The Cajun boiled mushrooms were very spicy, but I still enjoyed it. Crawfish was good for its very reasonable price. May not be my favorite but I may give them another chance in the future. read more

Between my friends and I, we demolished three buckets and two platters of crawfish. Really good Southern crawfish that you don't get in California. By looking at the place from the outside, you would not think that they have really good crawfish, definitely a hidden gem. The local beers on tap and daquiris were really good as well. Typical bar scene with pool tables and darts. Being from California, I was not used to the indoor smoking so we ate outside on the patio. Best crawfish and best daiquiris in town. I decided to check this spot out after I got a coupon from bargainbee.com. They claimed to have the best crawfish in town, and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as spicy as I like to make it, but it was definitely more flavorful and more spicy than any other restaurant I've visited. I love Lakeside! My favorite part is dollar burger night on wednesdays. $1 for a giant burger (this ain't no mcdonalds burger) and not much more to put cheese on it and get fries - though I don't much like cheese on my burgers to begin with. If you like pabst, they're $1 pints on wednesday too, but I am not a pabst fan. Pitchers are $9 on wednesday, so bring a friend and you can both eat and drink a few pints for about $5... hard to beat. I hear monday is dollar sloppy joe night, and I definitely wanna go. My favorite beer is here too, Leinenkugel's sunset wheat. Tastes like froot loops, but gets ya drunk. My only complaints: the music inside is just a little too loud. Not unbearable, but it could be turned down a bit. You won't have to shout, but you will have to talk loud. You can go outside, but go early if you want a seat. That's my other complaint... the place is getting so popular it's tough to find a seat these days. But I still recommend it. read more

Great daiquiris but the smoky air is a bit much. If the weather is nice I suggest sitting on the patio to get out of the smoke. Overall the staff is friendly and dollar burgers are not bad for $1 plus a little extra for cheese. The food here is amazing! The dollar burgers on Wednesday are delicious. You really wonder how you can pay a dollar for something that good, and they aren't little either. The crawfish is so tasty - it is seasoned just right. They do crawfish specials on certain nights/times. They have a decent tap selection, including good ole PBR! The daiquiris are made with premium liquor, and you really can taste the difference. They have a great digital jukebox, pool tables, and darts. There is a huge outside seating area as well.
