Some others at the table dishes were also cold. The catfish is actually swai. That is highly misleading, especially in Louisiana. It should simply be labeled "fried fish." In addition, my pros were as follows. The salad is really fresh and delicious. It was so good on its own, all it needed was a little salt and pepper. The bread pudding was soooo good, I loved the sauce. Having it warmed was also a huge plus. Overall, some minor changes could definitely boost this spot's rating.

But no dance floor and no outdoor seating. Well, anyway, we looked over the menu and decided to try the buffet. There was some good stuff there, and some mediocre. Apparently, the locals love it. They were coming in pretty thick by the time we left. Lots of fried seafood options (including alligator, soft shell crab, and frog legs), boiled shrimp, baked catfish, flounder, and a lot of other meat options. You don't see sauce piquant very often, so I had to try the deer sauce piquant from the buffet. It had good flavor, but not much "piquant." Had to add a little Crystal hot sauce. And the meat was tough and chewy. Needed a few more hours in the pot. The flounder was very good. Best thing I tried. The "Cajun style pork" was good, too - chunks of pork and smoky andouille with pineapple and oranges. Very good. The frog legs, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, and alligator were all good, too. The fried catfish was muddy and dirty tasting (hate when that happens). If you're hungry, this is a nice place to get your fill of south Louisiana specialties - I could make an entire meal of the frog legs and Cajun style pork.

For an appetizer, I had a dozen of their chargrilled oysters. You can see the smoke and smell them cooking them on the way in. They have this amazing butter sauce packed with tons of flavor and it is served with their French bread to soak up that butter! Some other appetizers we got were their fried eggplant with marinara sauce and their buffalo wings which are so good. For my main entree, I got their blackened shrimp pasta which was seasoned well and came with garlic bread. My twin got their hamburger steak and it was delicious. Some drinks I got for the night were their old fashioned and their Long Island iced tea. The ambiance is nice and perfect for a family outing or to celebrate graduation in my case. I spit them out, they tasted like dried, week old shrimp. Simply awful. I love a night out for dinner but I literally lost my appetite. The restaurant response was as bad. If you were going to try and scam someone you should've at least made sure they weren't sober enough to understand. I will be disputing this with my bank. I also took screenshots of two other reviews who shared similar experiences. Stop scamming people. Beware if you go here to drink, please make sure you are being charged correctly. But the showstopper was the Fish Chalmette with speckled trout. Phenomenal dish. Perfectly prepared fish with an incredible crawfish cream sauce that made every bite better than the last. This is exactly the kind of classic Louisiana seafood spot you hope to find--great food, no gimmicks, just consistently outstanding dishes. Definitely a place I'll come back to.

My friend also ordered a seafood boil juicy special medium with no seafood and only the sides in the sauce. 225 Crab's sauce is pretty flavorful and even has visual herbs in it that you can also taste to distinguish their boil from other places. However, their boil sauce is very very salty regardless of the spice level and the salt becomes more prominent the colder that your seafood boil gets. 225 crabs's spicy level is not as spicy as fiery crab's spicy and I actually appreciate that.
