I had such a great experience here! The customer service is truly top tier -- the employees are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about helping you find what you need. They carry everything you could possibly look for: human hair bundles, wigs, braiding hair, hair care products, styling tools, and all the big name brands. It's really a one-stop shop for beauty supplies. This place has been here for over 30 years- you can't beat their knowledge when it comes down to products they know about hair and the wide selection they have available for their customers. I can't go to other beauty supply stores anymore because I trust Tigi with their variety in selection, customer service, as well as their prices. Some of these other beauty supply stores also be not trustable with their prices. I honestly think some of the negative reviews on here don't reflect how this place really is. First of all, from reviews about talking about stuff like prices; yall it's inflation. Can't do anything about it, everything is rising! But from my years of coming here, they keep everything priced as reasonable and with very much care for their customers. Trust me, I've been shopping here long as I know. I grew up going to this store. Also from my visits, the staff is always professional, polite, and patient. They are always on the lookout to see if any of their customers need help or with any assistance. If someone felt they had a "bad" experience, chances are they might have come in with an attitude themselves -- because from what I've seen, the employees are trained well and always put customers first. TiGi has the worst customer service ever. Keep in mind they do not have a website to view there products. So, I called to ask if they could take a picture of the specific item that I am looking for because I live quite a distance away and I didn't want to waste my time and gas to go look at something that I may not like. The young lady I spoke with said , they couldn't take pictures. I then spoke with the manager or owner and I explained my situation. His answer was the same. I then went on to ask what was the harm in sending a picture of the item. I can't do anything with it. I told this person that I had called other beauty supply stores and they did it with no problem. When I mentioned that he needed to get a website and he became rude saying that I needed to go on line. I then explained that I needed the item soon and I wanted to be able to pick it up myself. Great Wigs! Customer service was terrible. I wanted to purchase a wig but i couldn't try it on (it was a lace front) Clerk said just hold it up 2 my face because all wigs are final sale.As im looking at the wig,she comes to take it back because she needs to help other people, so I have to stop, hand her the wig, let her help another person and then return the wig to me to continue holding it next to my face. All that was 2 much!! I felt like a criminal instead of a customer.I expressed to another associate the problem and she stated it was because of prior theft of other people.Here is my question? Why don't you have a person assigned solely to Wig service. You shouldn't treat everyone as criminals to stop criminals. This place is a little to ridiculous. I understand that there is closing hours and I respect that. However, if I'm in there before 7pm and I have already started looking at hair and the sales person. Is already assisting me trying to find color and lengths then we notice she brings wrong trip of hair. Which means she not needs to go look for for the correct style that I'm looking for. Which would've taken a few minutes, but she insisted to keep looking at her watch @6:56pm Instead of looking at her watch she could've helped me in those few minutes that we had left. She again looked at her watch and said they were closed and I said well since you don't want to help me. I should just leave and walked out. I could've purchased the hair and been out the door by 7:10pm. It look me over 45 mins to get there you really think I wanna drive the next morning (when I have to work as well) because you can't give me 5 more mins. So here we are at TiGi Beauty Supply, the store manager "jay" not sure if that's his real name but we will go with that. Later on, I found out he was the owner's nephew . TiGi is a Korean-controlled beauty-supply store and my experience was less than favorable with a hint of racism. I was comparing different brands with an employee and when she stepped away for a second "Jay " took over . He had little interest in selling anything to "my kind" and commenced on securing the clippers I was comparing. He looked at me with discuss. He didn't say much but if looks could kill well you know. I found this a little odd so I asked him to pull an expensive clipper ($179) from a case and he initially refused. He said can't you. See these are more expensive and the blades are an additional $30. This sale took a dive real quick. Needless to say I didn't buy the clippers and will most likely hit up Sallys . Isn't ironic that a Korean owned beauty shop that supplies the majority of African American products are racist and shy of selling to any minority. I simply asked to see some clippers that I was interested in buying and when comparing models he stopped the sale. Business Is business and I hope the owners see how Jay's true colors stopped a sale. The salesperson told me, a cancer patient, the wig was 100% real human hair. I take it to my stylist who advised that, she lied to make a dollar. Not a lot can be done with it, can't color to match my hair or really curl or cut it. And they say I can't return for a refund. I don't know what I'm doing nor what I'm looking for. Trusting people is obviously no longer a part of my life. Read the reviews people. I'm not the only ill customer they have taken advantage of. Ok, so this review is solely on the quality of the branded "TiGi" human hair. Do not, I repeat do not but their hair. I typically purchase my bundles from another company in which the hair lasted me years. Because of a financial bind, I opted to buy hair from Tigi and hoped that the "human hair" would be of decent quality. I purchased the second grade hair in the TIGI brand. I wore it one week, and washed it. The hair completely transformed after the first wash. It looks dry, gets tangled if I'm not brushing it constantly, and the curls do not hold. We all know buying beauty supply hair is a risk, but they were telling me how good the hair was and everything. Lol. Anyways, learn from my mistake. Don't buy Tigi brand human hair. read more

I got home and it didn't match! So I went back the next day and told them. And the owner kept looking at the package like if I taken hair out or used it. When it was still in the original package unused. Then they finally match it correctly and don't have the length and make me pay more bc they don't have anything available. So I said can I just get a refund and they say no they don't do refunds... just store credit! They can't even tell me when they will have the product in. It's really unfortunate how the African American consumers are treated by the owner/management. I went to the store today and purchased quite a bit of hair products. I took my time researching products in the store. There was a young lady that was helpful in suggesting products. I had a lot in my shopping cart. I looked up and the asian owner or Manager was starring at me like Michael Myers. I am an older African American woman, a Nurse and well educated. The uncomfortable feeling I received was appalling. I should've put all my items back after seeing him stare at me. He didn't look like he wanted to ask me if I needed help. He looked like, what is she doing. I had been in the store browsing for awhile. I even got help from an associate. What was the meaning behind the death stare. Why do we all have to be looked like a suspect no matter what age. If we walk in with a suit and expensive clothing. Will we still be treated or looked like a criminal. I want to be treated like a welcomed consumer. I am spending my hard earned money. This experience has caused me not to return to this establishment. While I understand people unfortunately steal. The perception can't be for all. read more

You only have 10 minutes, but if you've been dying for your products, you can get in there and get out in less time. Prices are always great. The staff is always great. My experience with Tigi Beauty was phenomenal. Went in there, greeted by the lovely store ladies and people working there as employees. The store is clean and organized, with so many varying brands. Was looking for just what i was looking for, and even more! The prices are super cheap compared to online places or even amazon. They are definitely a beauty supply who wants to keep prices as low as possible for customers; even though everybody is raising prices nowadays. I know sometimes people complain about the beep sensor when leaving the store, but accidents may happen. They are right away to take that sensor off and apologize, and it is no worries at all. Due to theft and many times individuals who are prone to steal, they have to have this: so this is a message to all those customers who get so mad about it; mind your business, don't steal, and you're fine! Those of you who do try to steal, don't; there's literally a police station 5 minutes away. Also, those reviews who are saying they're unprofessional by closing time --that is normal for the store; around 15 minutes before closing they start to wrap things up and have someone open and close the door; that's their own business! Sometimes these rude reviews need to be ignored! They have amazing customer service; amazing wig girls, amazing employees at the register; and the I give props to the owner who have trained them and how they keep the store running. My mom recently visited this local shop to find a wig due to recent medical treatment hair loss. Unfortunately she was notified that she would not be able to try on the expensive (most) of the wigs due to a store policy. Needing this wig due to medical treatment hair loss, she wanted to try on the wig before paying a high dollar amount to ensure it was a good fit (not all wigs are bought for "fun"). She was the referred to the "cheaper" options that she could try on, but the shop did not have a "fitting room/area" to do so. With recent hair loss, my mom now wears head wraps or beanies when out, and wanted privacy when trying on the wig. Unfortunately this store was not able to accommodate so she decided to go elsewhere. Would recommend this shop to have a fitting area for those with hair loss to have a private area to make a selection. read more
