We've been following Urbane Cafe for a while and finally got a chance to give them a try. Upon entering the door, we were quickly greeted with a smile! That always makes my day! Their menu consists of salads, sandwiches with side salad, or bowls. Kids menu items as well. There's vegetarian sandwich options, too. We ate inside once and came back for takeout the second time in one week!!! The restaurant seating area was very clean. The staff came around to take our trays/trash while we were chit chatting. We would have done it when leaving, but it was nice of them to go above and beyond. We ordered the Keto Cobb salad. One added chicken and the other one added BBQ tri-tip for an extra add on fee. Came here for the first time after I got out of the DMV. The inside super clean and bright. The customer service was amazing! The girl behind the counter was super sweet and approachable. Considering this was my first time here it was really good. I ordered through Uber Eats and they packaged everything really well. I really enjoyed the dressings that I received, which tasted as if they were homemade. The cilantro, one and the honey mustard one are so bomb. I got my man the salmon bowl, I really enjoyed the sweet potatoes on there. I got my son the kids meal chicken sandwich with cheese and he loved it. I got myself the pastrami sandwich just to try something new which I also loved. They both came with a small salad, which was just the perfect amount. I really like the focaccia bread. I feel like it's a lot softer here so it was just easier to eat and it tasted really good especially dipped in that cilantro sauce. This was a really healthy and refreshing meal. Solid and a great addition to the Sprouts plaza and Clairmonte neighborhood. It was a spacious and bright space and signs everywhere advertised downloading their app to join their loyalty program. With the app download you can immediately redeem a free cookie, so as I waited for my friend, that's exactly what I did. I got the seared ahi tuna bowl for my entree which was a reasonable $14 price point, the bread came upon request, so definitely request it because it was delicious. I thought the ahi portion was spot on and the best part of the bowl for me was actually the kale, which was cooked really well and removed the typical bitterness inherent to the vegetable. Now that there's a closer location to me, I'm excited to visit more often! - PARKING - Shares a large parking lot with Sprouts and other businesses, it wasn't a problem finding a spot! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The interior seating is a bit limited, but they do have a nice outdoor patio area with market lights if you don't mind being outside! You can see them making their breads fresh right when you walk in, as well as their warm cookies on a heating pad. Really friendly staff through our entire experience! - FOOD/DRINK - My fiance and I both got a sandwich each, but I opted for a salad while he got a soup for his side. Chimichurri TriTip: The Tritip was very tender, and the Chimichurri was delicious! Really fresh ingredients all around! I honestly really enjoyed the Tomato Bisque soup as well! I'm not usually the type to order salad, but this one was admittedly really good! Loved the cheese and cranberries, and all the ingredients just complemented each other well. It didn't taste healthy at all and honestly not convinced their online nutrition info is accurate. But I would definitely come back just to order this! SOUTHWEST SANDWICH: Can't go wrong with this one if you love Southwest style sandwiches and salads like I do! Savory and filling. A REALLY GOOD FISH SANDWICH: This was decent but not as good as the name might suggest. The sauce was tasty but otherwise nothing memorable. I'd rather order something else in the future. This was my first time ordering from this establishment, and I must say that the food was very healthy. A side salad comes with every sandwich, which is a novel concept here in San Diego. That alone makes their model one to seriously consider for a healthy meal. I ordered the Club Sandwich, which had chicken, melted cheese, avocado, bacon, and tomato on focaccia. The bread is very good, and so was the quality of the chicken and bacon. However, the sandwich was missing something in the way of a spread. I was hoping for a full-bodied aioli. If there was any on the sandwich, it was not noticeable... This would be my only suggestion. The salad was fresh with mandarin oranges, and was very good! However, I would have hoped for a little bit larger of a portion size for the side salad. Food cost on salad is virtually negligible compared to other items, so I think it would behoove the restaurant to invest in packaging that would allow for a larger portion for the salad. Regardless, the buttermilk ranch was excellent, and the portion size for the dressing was more than sufficient. Some minor tweaks, and this place might just become the healthiest and trendiest lunch spot in town! read more

My partner and I stopped by the Clairemont location after running some holiday errands for a quick bite. We ordered Southwest and Chimichurri steak sandwiches, which came with mixed green side salads. I truly don't know what I was expecting, but this meal was mediocre at best. A more hip Panera, if you will. The sandwich fillings were okay, but the bread was atrocious. It is marketed as focaccia, but it reminds me of those Orowheat whole-wheat sandwich thins with a generous sprinkling of salt on them (Why??) Not for me. Another thing that I let slide (which I probably should not have) is that I noticed a hair on top of my sandwich. It was the holiday season, and I did not want to go full Karen on overworked employees, but in hindsight, I should've for the sake of QC. I probably won't be back :/ read more

The bowl was extremely light, barley the amount you'd get normally, I have never had bowl this light even when not ordering extras.
