What a great find! Lebanese food very tasty. My friend and I stopped in and we could not decide what to try. One of the owners was mind enough to explain some of tbe foods. We shared a vegetarian plate and some appetizers. The vegetarian plate had 4 falafel balls, stuffed grape leaves,,spinach pie, salad and hummos. The falafel was light and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Grape leaves and hummos very tasty. Our sides be ordered was kibbeh and kafta. Kibbeh was a mixture of beef with cracked wheat lightky fried it was very delious. The kafta was a beef with spice blend made into a sort of meat ball. I was trying to detect some of the spice and could detect cinnamon. The owner said they have a special blend of 17 herbs and spices. The place is casual order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Looking forward to trying some other items in the future. read more

We went here on a Thursday night and we were the only ones in the place. There was one person working. He was the order taker, cashier, cook, waiter, and cleaner. It was pretty impressive. I ordered the chicken salad, baba ghanouj, and my wife got the chicken shawarma plate. The baba ghanouj was pretty good. It had a nice smokiness to it. My only complaint is it came with one tiny pita for a full bowl of baba ghanouj. The pita was very lackluster and had no flavor at all. I'm not sure if it was store bought or made in house, but it was super dry and lacked any flavor at all. The chicken salad was delicious. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The dressing was bright and acidic with a wonderful flavor. I added feta to the salad which seems a bit pricey (1.99) but it was needed in my opinion and belongs on a med salad like that. It should be included if you ask me. My wife's chicken shawarma plate was delicious looking as well. She opted not to share with me so I cannot say how it tasted, but she enjoyed it she said. It came with a garlic yogurt sauce that was flavor and very garlicky. Overall the food was great. The prices were on the high side for what it is. It was $50 for food the two of us after tip and no drinks. There really isn't an atmosphere it's a no frills place with tables and chairs and no AC on the inside so it was hot. Well I used to think this was one of the finest restaurants in the area. I ate their kafta kebab often. It was juicy and tasty and their salads were fresh with lots of parsley. I know the original owners retired and it's been taken over by others. Today I went and while it's an ok place it's an imitation of what it was. The kafta is now tougher and dry. It didn't seem very fresh. The salad is now served with barely any parsley. The hummus and pita are still good but given the other amazing options in the area I have a hard time seeing myself coming back. read more

We tried their baba ganoush (4/5; very good.) and kafta plate w garlic sauce (5/5; kafta was perfectly spiced and juicy, rice was well seasoned and cooked well, the salad was generous and tasty and the garlic sauce was amazing. They made me feel very welcomed, like I was a member of their family. The dining room was clean and had a good amount of space for many tables. It's really Hana's Secret Garden. The food is absolutely delicious. I tried the hummus, Kifa, tabouli and Fatoush salad with Feta. The salad is easily for two. It is huge in fact when I picked it up, it felt like it weighed 2 pounds !!Very generous on the vegetables and dressing. Absolutely delicious. The Kifta was moist and tasty. I certainly would do that again the tabouli is chopped by hand, just like my aunt used to make it. Absolutely scrumptious. In fact, I came back the next day and bought three containers of tabouli. A year ago I would have given this restaurant five stars. I heard a rumor that the ownership changed and feedback from friends saying that the food was not the same. I decided to try it anyways and was disappointed. The chicken is not as flavorful, the baba ganoush looks like mashed bananas and does not taste very good. It wasn't bad, but I also wasn't good. The salad was so salty that it was borderline not edible, the shishkabab was as tough as it could get (I assume it was cheap stew meat). Best shawarma! Had their chicken shawarma yesterday and it was authentic and delicious! Been looking for a place with the best shawarma and so happy to have finally found it. Zero stars! Ok so I'm quite perplexed about all the "great" reviews of this place. I can honestly say that Hanna Garden was hands down the worst Mediterranean food experience I've ever had. Wife and I decided to drop in here on a Thursday afternoon at 4pm and have a nice late lunch/early dinner, whatever you wanna call it. We checked the "reviews" and based on that made the fateful decision to waste our money. We walked in and the place was empty. The lady at the counter was pleasant enough but when we went to order she promptly told us they were out of rice. She said they were about to close and had run out. I double checked the time, it was 4pm and they close at 5pm. Hmm, that's not "about to close" to me but I digress... My wife got a chicken shawarma plate, no rice but "extra salad" as compensation. Since they had no rice I played it safe (so I thought) and got a beef shawarma wrap al la carte. Food came a little later and here's where it gets bad. Basically the only edible item we received was the salad. The salad was fine, but the meats were awful! I bit into my wrap and received a sensation akin to taking a bite out of a pile of Kleenex! It was absolutely disgusting! Something was desperately wrong with the meat. It was beyond dry. When I say it had the texture and taste to Kleenex, I am not exaggerating. I pulled some meat out and handed it to my wife and told her to give it a try. Keep in mind, I didn't tell her why. Cruel joke on her, and I did apologize, but she put it in her mouth, started chewing and immediately spit it out. She said WTH was that, paper?! I told her the whole wrap is full of that awful substance. She was disgusted and not sure what to say. Meanwhile, she dug into her chicken and lo and behold it was pretty much the same! The chicken wasn't as disgusting as the beef, but it was very very dry and completely tasteless. If the beef was Kleenex the chicken was like chewing on a dry cloth. My wife and I are not food critics and we rarely complain about anything. Food has to be pretty bad for me to write a review like this. This wasn't bad, it was the worst. I've had amazing Mediterranean cuisine around SD and can't imagine why a sty like this can even stay open! I feel it's my civic duty to warn people. Go at your own risk folks! As for all the "great" reviews...hmm...not sure how that works. Oh and their pictures are sure pretty! Maybe it's plastic replica food. Just nasty and shameful to serve something like that to paying customers. We pretty much just all the food there and went across to McDonalds.
