Stopped in and ordered waited the 25 mins for my order while I stood in the place. When I noticed others after me getting their orders I tried three time to ask a worker and they all walked the other way when I tried to make eye contact. Then when I did they searched the kitchen for my order and nothing. Then they said we gave it to someone else. My name was never called. They the said well you never listed for it. What??? Location is great if your in the CG area, it's in a small plaza in front of the new apartments on ChampionsGate Blvd. There is ample seating indoor and outdoor with the option to call ahead and pick up to go. I've been going to Tijuana flats for years but this has taken a while to work out its kinks. The employees are kind but I've encountered several nuisances. Came here on a lunch break and it took one of the employees 15 minutes to properly ring me up. I had split orders but she kept ringing up the cards several times at different prices but none that matched our totals correctly. Finally the manager came out to help solve the issue and comped our meals because our cards had been charged several times so it would be difficult for her to undo what had been done. I was thankful for her kind option and decided to come again. I called for an order ahead of time and the lady said it would be 10 minutes. I waited 10 minutes and left for my break to pick up my burrito. Once I arrived, I paid for my food and the lady said I would need to wait a little more for my food. I ended up spending my whole break waiting for my burrito - from the moment I ordered to the moment the food was done was 40 minutes not the 10 minutes she had originally said and I ended up coming back to work late. I'm still a fan of Tijuana Flats but not of this location. Just seems like they need to be more consistent with their service, because I'm definitely thinking twice before I return here. read more

So happy that a T-Flats moved into our little quiet end of town....Score! We decided to finally check it out on Taco Tuesday. Since there aren't many options in our area, it was busy! Line to the door. But that's not unusual for any Tijuana Flats. The line was slow, but because we're near Disney, there were a number of tourists in line that had never visited before and had no idea what to order. The good thing was that the servers were coming through the line offering to get us all drinks while we waited. I did notice that the posted price for Taco Tuesday did not match what's posted here. It's 50 cents more and they didn't have $1 draft beers listed. But my wife asked if they would honor the $1 beer and they did! So that was a plus. We sat outside because it was a nice day. Our food took a bit, but it was busy. They forgot to bring my side of queso and went to get it for me....and forgot again. So the server offered to get me a large size instead. Great! Our tacos were fresh and I really enjoyed them. Another server came by and I asked for a lid. Not only did he bring a lid, he brought me more chips to go and lots of bags to pack it up in. Moses did a great job! So happy we have them in our neighborhood. We'll be back! read more

This is the first Friday since they opened. There's a few new store kinks like the employees still learning the ropes, but you can never go wrong with TFlats. The food is always good and we came for happy hour. The beer is priced really well. This location has some odd chip giving thing, so our party of 4 ended with 3 trays full of chips. I got the banging chicken burrito which is my personal favorite and I wasn't disappointed once again. Buffalo chicken tenders, onions, peppers, ranch, lettuce and wrapped in a wheat tortilla. This is one of the smaller Tflats, but it still packs the best TexMex you can find. read more

Service was good, staff was very friendly, but the food was meh. Don't get me wrong the chips and salsa and guacamole were fantastic. How they season the meat that were inside of our various dishes outstanding! What my family and I figured it was that the meat inside our tortillas were fantastic but the tortillas are too thick and doughy. Seriously the thickest tortilla on our tacos, burrito and floutas. If they can adjust the thickness of the tortilla I would give them four or five stars. Seriously, your tortillas are far too thick! Fix that and I'll be back! read more

Garbage restaurant. It was a Thursday night and decided to order take out for the first time since moving to Davenport. My dad had driven down from Atlanta and the menu sounded good so decided to give it a try, after all it's the least I could do for him after a 7 hour drive. I had ordered an appetizer along with 3 entrees. The girl said to come pick it up in 20 minutes. 20 minutes pass by and I walk into this place and have no idea where to pick up the order.. there's no signs, zero direction of where to go and I felt clueless because you literally walk into the dining space, the whole set up is just weird. Finally this girl shows up to the register and I said I was picking up. She then brings out my order and after looking at the ticket I realized that there was an entree missing. The one entree missing of course was my pregnant wife's. None the less I brushed it off and was like ok, mistakes happen but yea I'm going to need that entree quick please. The girl assured me she would tell the cooks and it would be right out.... 30... MINUTES... LATER... my blood was already boiling and it STILL wasn't ready. At this point I walked up to the counter asked to speak to a manager. I told her what happened and she basically apologized but it felt like this is something she's used too. I said I'm not paying for this food that's already done because the other entree isn't even done and now everything else is going to be cold and mushy. She agreed and normally managers are like, "you know just take the food anyway our bad", but instead she literally was like, "ok"... LOL. What a absolute joke of a restaurant. I will never in my life ever come here or to any of their other locations again. From walking in and having every top top being thrashed and littered with left over garbage to the terrible service and unprofessional experience I highly recommend you don't come here. Even the "sauce station" was nasty and half of the containers had little to no sauce in them and looked dirty. The plastic cups for sauce were also sloppily thrown in a side basket and zero caps available as well. I don't care that this is a nasty review, this place is NASTY. I always wanted a TF to open up near my house. Now that it's a reality, I realize how bad it is...for my diet. I've lost 23 lbs in the past seven months, but I've already visited this location twice in their first week open, oh lord. TF has the best Tex-Mex IMO. Great variety at competitive prices. This location is a bit small due to the limitations of the brand new shopping area it was placed into, but I've gotten take out exclusively so far. The employees were friendly, and like all TF, the girls are extremely nice to look at. I highly recommend this location, and am delighted to see a new option in this area. Awful!! First, in a party of 5, all but one person had to return to the counter as something was missing from the plate. Good thing we were eating in and not take out! Second, the food was poor quality. The burritos and chimichangas were barely filled, the cheese sauce had no flavour. On a good note, the sauce station had some delicious sauces. Another positive is the staff member who provided missing components was very nice. Another negative was that 2 people ordered the shrimp bowl and they did not resemble each other ( one looked like the photo on the poster and the other looked like it was half eaten) . Seating is on the small and cramped side. Prepare to sit on top of the person next to you. Has to be one of the tiniest of their locations. Doesn't give you that really enjoyable comfortable, relaxed feeling. Granted plenty of outside seating area. It's Florida though so great for maybe three months out of the year. The food I must say is one of the better ones around. It comes out fast and hot and size-able portions. So hopefully it stays this way. read more

Beware of long waits for call in orders, no one is answering the phone. Normally I call in my order for pickup to avoid the tourist waiting in line. Today I dialed, recording comes on like normal, music starts to play and I wait. For over 15 minutes!! By this point I'm at the restaurant in line only 1 person ahead of me and ask if no one is taking phone orders, she says no, we're busy. I place my order and pay. While waiting for me order someone that I assume to be a manager ask if I had a call in order, I say I wanted to, but was on hold for 15 minutes, she says that's impossible, I have the batteries out of the phone. She seemed shocked that an auto system would still answer and place a caller on hold and just said, well were real busy. I asked for a refund and left. No time for that type of care to their customers for mediocre Mexican. read more

Really friendly and helpful staff! Pricing is good and the sauces that the place is known for are a must. The food however is very greasy and heavy. I have tried this a couple of times and besides the chips and guacamole (which is really good), I've left feeling pretty ill each time. Some people prefer this taste of a heavier Tex-mex, I prefer a fresher and lighter. Additionally a bit on the expensive side. I'd give it a try if I were you as it is definitely a unique taste all it's own. They do also have good specials so be sure to check them out. read more

Skimpy on the meat compared to other locations. I ordered Megajuana Dos Tacos and when they hit the table I sent them back thinking I only got the regular tacos. The employee came back to my table and said it was megajuana but they didn't add extra cheese. So I got extra cheese with no extra meat. The other location where I live gives a much greater portion of meat with their megajuana items. My wife ordered the flautas and it was more "airy" with less meat than our normal location. Don't go here!!! This is an embarrassment to the Tijuana flats franchise! The burrito bowl didn't even come half way up the plastic bowl! The the steak burrito had maybe 4 pieces of steak.. even the young girl who serves us said since new owners taken over, they have cut the food portions by half the size!! after waiting 30 minutes for food we ended up sending it all back for a refund, 30 dollars for something that wouldn't even fill a toddler! This is by far the worst location I have ever been too. Order curbside due to not having time to go in and pick up order. After waiting for more than 20 minutes in parking spot I had to get out and go ask for my food.
