We were passing through area and chose this based on yelp reviews. I was shocked at 6pm on Saturday night restaurant was empty but two families came after us. First, the pros: fast counter service, clean, kids menu, awesome hot sauce bar, cute KY and Mexican theme inside, serves Modelo and Jarritos. But the street tacos lacked flavor and I didn't like the corn tortillas. The lime bowl was good and Kids meal was good portion. The outside tables looked nice and we wanted to sit outside but they were chained up and closed. Staff said it was due to weather. Fair. Except AC wasn't working properly and they apologized but was hotter inside than out and it wasn't raining even if maybe it had earlier. read more

Love the ambience with a Mexican feel that is Kentucky themed with a wall mural! Service was outstanding! Recommendations by staff when ordering were excellent! Service was great! Even though you order at counter the food was delivered to our table, two people checked on us and brought us refills and came out to get our trays when we finished! Food was fresh and light but filling! Burrito, Power Bowl, guacamole, chips and salsa were all excellent choices that we would order again! I stopped in for lunch today while I was in the area. Never knew this place was here. The cashier has friendly. When I arrived, I was the only customer around 11:30 and the food came out a little slow. I had the Tijuana Trio for appetizer, which was salsa, guac, queso and chips. The queso was my favorite. The guac was bland and the salsa had a slight sweetness to it. I also had the Blackened Chicken Street Tacos. They were good. I tried several of their sauces at the Hot Sauce Bar, which was a cool set up. I would try them again and have something different next time. read more

I tried Tijuana Flats for the first time today! It's always fun to try new places and this one was a good one. It's very close to our house right in Hamburg near Starbucks. We were going to go back chipotle but decided why not try a new to us place! I'm glad we did. They have a variety of Mexican dishes on the menu from tacos, burritos, and even had a chimichanga which is my favorite and not typical to see on a fast casual restaurant. I got the chimichanga and added the side and drink. For my side I got chips and queso. They also have a very large hot sauce bar ranging from mild sweet chili sauces to very hot! My chimichanga was delicious served with queso, fresh jalapeños and tomatoes on top. They also give you the option of blackened or regular grilled chicken or beef for the meat. I got blackened. You also get to choose the type of beans, refried or black beans. I got refried this time but I like black beans too and may get that next time. She took the time to explain the differences in each option and made a few suggestions like the dessert pear drink (now my favorite). Stopped while passing by. So glad we did! The food was fresh and delicious. I got a chimichanga and my daughter got a burrito. Servings were well presented with jalapeño slices on top. Very large portions! Oh, and the salsa bar was a nice touch! We tried several on our food and the chips that came with our meals. I ordered via Door Dash and the food came nicely packaged. This is the second time I've had Tiajuana Flats, with the first time being in March when I was in Florida. I think that the guacamole is delicious. I usually prefer white queso, but Tiajuana Flats' yellow queso is really good. The veggie Chimichanga was big and tasted good. I was skeptical because the prices looked a little bit high online but there were a lot of options, our food was good, and the service was excellent. We loved the hot sauce bar. Our favorite sauce was Jason's Mom's sauce. My flauta's were good but my son's chimichanga was better. My wife enjoyed her tacos. We'll be back. Next time we're going to try the chocolate chip cookie flauta's and we might try the tacos for 4 family go pack one night. read more

This place is absolutely a rip off. We just ordered 9 tacos and paid $38.76 for the smallest taco's I've ever seen. They are SUPER SMALL miniature and they are disgusting. They have absolutely no taste and came with hardly any meat. Then they stuck them in a container with some random chips. I'm not sure what you were supposed to do with the random chips, but there was nothing to dip them in. I'm 100% positive this place will go out of business very soon. This place won't last with prices like this and small portions. When you see this place, just keep going! read more

Absolutely Zero Flavor, so much so that I didn't even bother finishing it 3/4 of the way through. The customer service is excellent, food not so much! We ordered the quesadilla and chimichanga neither were what we would have expected for $34. Both items had only a couple (3 pieces) of meat even though we paid extra for steak! They were soaked in there ( liquid gold) not. It had probably 12 chips and a Dixie cup full of your side item. I think you pay over the top for there ( free sauce bar) hidden cost. To me customer service is a high priority but good food for a meal where you feel you have great taste and value is a must too!.
