Great food. Service is not as good as it used to be... staff seems to be very distracted today. The portions were very small today. The Homewrecket burrito used to be a meal that would leave you stuffed - if you could finish it. Today it was a small burrito that I need to fill up on chips. This place is constantly closing/shutting down grills around 8 PM. If you walk in a moment after 8 PM they'll refuse anything that goes on the grill and they are flipping up chairs and trying to close early every weekday (maybe not mondays). This has happened no less than 4 times to me coming to eat from 7:45-8:15. They will start shutting down the grill even if you're already in line. They say they're short staffed but there are clearly 4-5 workers actively cleaning. The food is good and all the staff are nice, except when you ask them why you can't order the stack an hour before they close... this has happened to me many times trying to get food after work. I am glad there is a Moe's closer to where I live that isn't by the mall and has plenty of parking. I like Moe's queso better than the other burrito places. They have good ice tea with a separate ice machine for those wanting tea or water. The fun thing is the Salas bar what you get to choose from. We had great service at this location. We rolled by 15 minutes early and the manager said they were already set up because of a large catering order so we are able to go in and order. Everyone was super friendly even though we felt like we were imposing. They were set up and ready to go. read more

Moe Monday is where it's at!! It's the best Monday deal in Lexington, especially if you're dining solo. Why is it that no one in my family likes Moes? To each his own I guess. The burritos and burrito bowls are each $5 on Mondays. There will be a line, know that ahead of time. Parking in the side lot will be scarce, but there are 40 additional parking spots in the back. It's comparable to other burrito places, like Salsaritas and Qdoba, but I prefer Moes. I don't like the steak, it's a bit too chewy for my taste, but once I found the things that I like and don't like, I stick to them. The chicken burrito bowl is my go to. I huge base of brown or white rice, topped with pinto and black beans, an array of veggies, and even guacamole... all makes for a huge amount of food. As if that wasn't enough, the chips are free and they also have a salsa bar. The mild green salsa is my favorite. The salsa is self serve, don't take my word for it, try them all. Fantastic Experience! I was actually going to grab dinner at another restaurant when I passed by Moe's and decided last minute to pull in. Walked in and was greeted right away by Trey. He was friendly, professional, and made a fantastic pulled pork bowl! He did not skimp whatsoever on the toppings! Angelyn was at the register, and she was super friendly as well. We have always had issues here, both delivery and pick up. This time we ordered pick up and they made one of our bowls and then waited 25 minutes to make the second one. So not only was it delayed, but the first one was cold from sitting around. Two of the workers were sitting around yelling at the one worker to just "work quicker" instead of helping. I ordered online and went to pick up the food, only to discover a long line of unhappy take-out order customers waiting, while the people entering the main ordering line were served. I complained to the manager after waiting for 20 min. for my order, and reminded him people doing take-out likely didn't want to wait in a crowded restaurant due to COVID. He informed me prioritizing people in the main line - over take out orders - was the policy set by his general manager. So if you don't feel like standing around in a crowd waiting for your food during a pandemic, avoid Moe's. read more

My first visit to a Moe's Grill. Large serving sizes. Flavors were great. I especially liked the variety of items you can add... grilled onions, grilled peppers, grilled mushrooms, grilled tofu. There are both fresh chopped jalapeños and slices. Olives too. The guacamole is excellent. Free chips and salsa, including five different types! The store was bright and colorful and clean. This was my first visit to this location on Harrodsburg road for Moe's Monday. The Burritos on Monday are $5. This is the first time we had eaten at Moes in awhile. We enjoyed our food but the line was really long at this location. I think they should be prepared for a Monday crowd. This being said we still enjoyed the food! Have been there on several occasions since COVID-19 set in. Before masking was required, there were no masks, even for the sake of courtesy on the people who were preparing and packaging the food. Even after masking was required, At least one person on the prepaid packaging line was letting their masks slip below their nose, it was fully exposed, and they were potentially exhaling onto the food and packaging. I understand that some people find it difficult, but this is a matter of safety, and if you are handling food and packaging that other people are going to be handling, assuming it is safe, then be sure your breath is directed away from the food and packaging. That is done by wearing a mask. Try a different style, if some aren't comfortable. It might make a difference. Do you know people who've had COVID-19? Have you known people who've died from COVID-19?? These are real people. Real moms and dads, sisters and brothers, friends, people on whom other people depend. I called once to ask if staff were wearing masks and was told that they were. When I arrived, one staff was wearing a mask below her nose. I turned around and left. Another time recently, I really wanted some of their food. I called to ask whether masks were being worn, and was told, "Yes". I replied that I had been told that before, but that when I had gotten there, masks were not being worn to cover both the nose and the mouth. The person on the phone (supposedly the manager) told me I had a choice to come in or not. I choose not. I go here only because it is closer to me, but I will gladly drive elsewhere. Moe's on Harrodsburg has the fast Mexican food you expect, however it can be nearly impossible to turn into the parking lot from the far side of Harrodsburg Rd. I do not recall hearing anyone being greeted by the crew when they arrived. On the day of my visit, I was disappointed to find that many of the low calorie drink selections in the soda machine, and there is only one, were empty. The food, however, was fine, and patrons will enjoy the salsa bar. read more

I like Moe's and live nearby so this is an exciting addition to this corridor of restaurants. We stopped in last weekend and had steak meals that the steak was nearly inedible. The staff seemed like they were trying, but haven't been there long enough yet. The area where the salsas were had a smell...and not one that was conducive for enjoying your meal. It had a soured/musty smell. I told one employee, who happened to be new, of the smell. He in turn told an older gentleman. I thought the older employee would check it out. No one checked it out nor informed a manager. It's not like they were short staffed because there were lots of employees. It will be a while before I go back. I will have to wait long enough to forget about it. None of the employees worked with any since of urgency and worked pretty much as slow as possible. There was 3-4 people in front of us and it took 30 minutes to get our food. I didn't get the cup of queso that I asked for and when I went back in, the worker did not say a word to me (much less apologize) and just handed me someone else's queso. This experience was lackluster to say it nicely. Went through the line, got a burrito which was wrapped so badly I had to unwrap it and eat it like a bowl. Customer service was terrible. I told the woman at the register that my order was for here because I noticed it was in a bag and she told me that I could grab a tray (which were no where to be found). The dining room attendant was also incredibly creepy and I would catch him staring at girls in inappropriate ways. While i was eating, One of the line workers walked off the line and the manager attempted to reprimand her with no luck. This is the lamest of the three Lexington locations. Parking can be a pain and on the Sunday I was there it was not clean. The television had a bloody MMA fight on which is fine with me but a family with small kids may not dig it. By bloody I mean a loss of blood from a dude not like an English man saying "what the bloody h*ll is going on here?". There was a sign on the counter for Mojo chicken, which is the original chicken they served for years before getting rid of it and now bringing it back. When I asked for that chicken the employee did not know what I was referring to and had to go to the back to confirm with someone that they had it after I showed him the sign. The gentleman who was in charge of catering extremely helpful and told us the best bang for our buck (fajitas) and that the portions are large (which they are. We even had enough for a 2nd lunch). I ordered a Joey with cilantro rice, pinto beans, white meat chicken, queso, cheese, corn salsa, and sour cream. I was about a third of the way through when I took a bite of the nastiest thing I have ever put in my mouth. A piece of chicken tasted like vomit and grill block. I immediately spit it out and ran to the bathroom (which was disgusting) and tried to wash my mouth out and keep from committing. My stomach started hurting a few minutes later. My wife has even noticed that I haven't been able to get the gross scowl off my face. I told the shift lead I wanted my money back and he did so as quickly as he could. One of the workers thought he needed to explain that the chicken was fresh. I don't care if it was slaughtered in the back that was the worst thing I've ever had in my mouth. I have over 20 years food service experience and I have never come across something so gross. I think the only reason I didn't throw up immediately was that I have not eaten anything else today. I had an online order for pickup thru the moes app. Walk in they can't find my order I was waiting up front for prolly 5 minutes at least before I was told anything they still didn't know where the order was. My Wife and I have eaten at this location twice since it opened. I went for take out on 6/4/2018, I ordered steak tacos for my wife, a steak taco for myself. Let's just say the restaurant is not clean even being a brand new place. I got home, we ate our meals and shortly after that my stomach started cramping and I had severe diarrhea all night long causing me to miss work today. The worse steak tacos and steak taco salad I've ever eaten. I would have much rather went across the road to Taco Bell. Needless to say I will never eat at a Moe's again for as long as I live.
