This location is always the best! The team members are always nice and the wait is rarely more than a few Minuets. It can get busy on taco or burrito day but the the wait is always worth it. Side note: they made my nachos look really cute! read more

It's strange that they don't have the menu posted, you have to use a QR code to see it on your phone- I don't get that. Why not have a board? Anyways...placed an order for 3 tacos and a taco salad at 12:15 (only 1 other person waiting for food in restaurant- I know there's mobile orders) and at 12:35 still did not have food. We have a short lunch break, so given this alone, we will not be returning. People who ordered after us, same items, got their food first. Not to mention, the food was bland, cheap ingredients, not sure why they call the steak "steak" when it it's just above dog food quality, and they took away the hot sauce bar so you have to ask for them. The fountain soda machine should be out for guests to use themselves also in my opinion, not behind the counter. Honestly, this place has gone down hill. Taco Tuesday's, YUUUPPP! Throw back Thursdays, YUUUPPP! This place is new to our area. So far it has been really great! Food quality is spot on. All the art on the walls is really great. I love the graffiti look. We were set back at first when we went to leave because there was no trash can's. Turns out, people clean up after you. They also bring the food to you table, which we thought was odd because it was walk up and order type of place. The plant size is very respectable! We go here on lunch and can split a nacho's and still have left overs. Same on Thursdays we cut the burrito in half and we are great. They have an awesome sauce bar! So many to choose from. They offer two Ghost pepper sauce's. Most places claim Ghost pepper and its actually kind of weak. NOT HERE! When they say Ghost pepper they are not just trying to reel you in. It is HOT, I mean Fire it is pretty great! My mouth was on fire and when I got back to work my stomach was burning for hours! And that was just from like quarter pump. Give it a try! Flavorless Food, I see why they offer multiple hot sauces, to burn your mouth so you don't notice the bland taste got Beef Burrito and a Chicken Burrito, both were supposed to have cheese, no cheese was on either. The Beef Tacos I had were ok. This is the last time I try this place. They don't give Salsa with their entrees or Chips they charge you for Salsa, Maybe if they gave salsa the food would be palatable. The worker was very pleasant. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here. My husband and I went on Sunday for lunch, shared a chicken burrito with their chips. The chips were so soggy with grease they didn't even crunch. The burrito was pathetic, no taste but the worst is it's Tuesday evening and my husband and I still had severe diarrhea, fever, heart burn and to sick to leave the bedroom. I placed an order online to be picked up the next day. When I arrived, I was informed there was a problem with communicating the order to the in-store system. The male employee at the front was very accommodating and had the kitchen make my order. It only took a few minutes and was fully accurate. This was my first time eating Tijuana Flats food and I veganized the veggie megajuana burrito: rice, black beans, pico, onions, jalapeño, lettuce, no cheese or sour cream. The burrito was indeed mega. It was actually quite flavorful and satisfying, despite not having a meatless protein substitute. If we weren't dealing with a pandemic, it would have been great to try more of the sauces and salsas. There was oddly not an option online to add guacamole to the burrito, but I would still eat here again! read more

Pretty disappointing. Food was not authentic Mexican. Only Americans put rice and beans INSIDE their burritos. And the tortilla was right out of a package -- GUMMY, COLD and RAW! Never even touched a hot pan before being wrapped around my steak. Everything except the meat was cold. The lettuce, tomato, onions and sour cream were better paired with an American Burger. The only Mexican condiment was the jalepeno. Where was the fresh avocado? Guacamole was available. so I took that, but not quite the same. Where were the pickled carrots and onions? And no fresh limes to squeeze for the tangy garnish? I visited at lunchtime in Florida in July and was looking forward to a cold drink. The "Iced" tea I received was served HOT! They said it was just brewed and then offered me more ice, so by the time it was cooled down it was also watered-down. Here's a thought -- maybe brew it the night before, and stick it in the cooler (instead of just before the lunch rush.) And the sauces -- they taste and have the consitency of store bought, gel-based sauces -- definitely NOT authentic mexican sauces from around the country. And who is looking, for super-sugary Asian and Indian-inspired sauces at a Mexican Restaurant ?! Prices are expensive and the facilities were not well maintained. For e.g.the toilet paper in the ladies room was out , even though the dispenser can hold two of those 12" rolls, and both the soap and towel dispensers were falling off the wall. I told the Manager and she said there were a lot of homeless people who use the bathroom and they "do who knows what in there." (as if that somehow explains the poor maintainence? I have to disclose that I may be a bit biased as I lived for decades in San Diego, CA, which is right next to Tijuana, Mexico. There are tons of taco places, burrito shops, and other restaurants with authentic MExican cuisine. But Tijuana Flats did nothing to remind me of any of them. I've been to more than a few tijuana flats but was the most disappointed by this one. I don't know if they are still working out the kinks of being new to the area. But some work needs to be done. First it seemed as if the rude staff that was cleaning the tables was doing it.with a dirty rag. There was a strange odor after she wiped them down. My mom ordered a taco and it was super greasy. Like yuck..I had the flautas and asked for half beef and had chicken...and they mixed it together... it what I asked for. This used to be my go to lunch spot for a chimichanga. Quality of food and cleanliness of restaurant has really gone downhill over the last year. During last visit, the Queso was chunky- like cottage cheese. Guessing it had been heated and reheated enough that it was congealing or taking on it's former form of oil laden fat molecules. There were small gnats or fruit flies flying around the taco bar and the majority of tables were dirty- which was odd as the place was relatively empty. The single front of house employee was sitting on a counter talking to what appeared to be a manager. This was the third strike for this location. I do takeout on Taco Tuesdays and they are good size tacos but too Americanized. They do give you chips but it's a dollar to get a small container of bland salsa. Any other Mexican restaurant that serves chips comes with salsa so that's my beef with this place. read more

Customer service is on point at this location. Sam in particular is always so sweet and helpful. I also love the atmosphere, it's fun and colorful. My only issue was the chicken. I got a chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend got the chicken burrito, the chicken was a little questionable.. tasted like prepacked/precooked chicken. Always wanted to try this place as I've had friend rave about it in the past, I give it three stars and that being because the food was blah and boring and almost tasteless. My burrito had a lot of beans inside and it was mushy. The queso was okay. Kind of gritty. My kids like the kids meals, because they came with m&ms. But the service was exceptional. The tacos came highly recommended by a local, so being from Ohio we had to stop in. The food was delicious and came out fast. The customer service from Kyle was above and beyond the expected.
