Good, affordable and fast. I have not had the pleasure of eating at this location, I have always had takeout or used the convenience of UberEats (usually avoid delivery unless I'm feeling very lazy because of the extra charge). My experience has always been good. The service has been great and the food always comes out tasty (sometimes the beef is a little too greasy). I usually get two hard shelled beef tacos with lettuce, cheese and onions with chips on the side. My alternate order is the beef nachos like my tacos with lettuce and onions (if you ask, it is possible to get queso on the nachos which is always delicious). I also will get the chips and queso if I have someone to share with. There are a lot of other gluten free options on the menu as well which is great for when I feel like having my meat, tortilla, cheese and vegetables prepared slightly differently. read more

I have been to TJF many many times!! My family and I love their food!!! The way they are decorated is awesome and the staff is always so friendly and ready to be of service. We have never had to wait once. The taco salads are just perfect! The cheese and chicken quesadillas are my son's favorite!! The salsa is fresh and made daily. They have a hot sauce bar for any taste buds to delight in. They are busy at lunch and dinner but there is never a very long wait and the staff will offer you a drink while you do wait. Happened 2/11/22 at 11:34am. I worked at Tijuana Flatts as a cook back in high school(different location) so I know what to expect. Ordered bean and BEEF nachos. But, what I got was bean and CHICKEN nachos. Which isn't a big deal and I understand miscommunication happens. They remade it with no problems but it came out way too quick(more to this in a second). But here's my issue, the first set of chicken nachos that came out had a bunch of toppings and the correct amount of beans and chicken. When they re-made it to the correct order there was about a 1/3 scoop of beef and 1/3 scoop of bean(barely anything), toppings were shorted, and shredded cheese wasn't even melted which means they didn't put them under the heater and that's why they came out so fast. It's a little annoying that the first order was full of ingredients and the 2nd wasn't. I didn't feel like complaining again. But, they were extremely dead so I should have. I picked at it for a couple minutes then gave up to get food somewhere else. I'm not writing this to sway people from not coming here but if I'm paying for over priced Americanized Mexican food then at least give me the proper proportions and melt the cheese how you're supposed to when you mess up my food. read more

Occasionally I'll pop into this location during a lunch break and have always been satisfied with my visits here. I'll mainly come in here on Taco Tuesdays to order some tacos, chips and a drink for under $6. The food is always good, the temperature is hot and the ingredients taste fresh and flavorful. I do like how this location is set up. You line up along the wall to order your food and hit the wonderful salsa and hot sauce bar after you receive it. I'm not one to crave Tijuana, but I do prefer this location over the Westchase location as I think the food here is much better. read more

Please be careful if you dine at this place. They will try to gouge you. We ordered some food. A lady who was taking our order asked if we wanted a rice inside burrito or outside. I said outside. She did not mention if rice is outside it is $2.75 more. Next thing I am finding out it is costing $2.75 more for rice if it is outside. I quibbled because the total bill was more than I expected. Then another lady came to help the first one. She and i went over the order again. This time the bill sounded ok. I like TF in general and may have given a 4 star review in the past, however the last 2 visits have been disappointing. I'm not too eager to return to this particular location again anytime soon. The past 2 times I've gone, they took forever to make the order. Much longer than they said it would be when I placed my order on the phone. Last time I had a to go order and asked for an extra side of chips. Guess what happened when I got home and opened my bag?! No extra chips :( Today I ordered a burrito power lite with no jalapeños. Again it took forever to be ready. This time there were indeed jalapeños all up in my food and the burrito was wet and soggy (no, I did not order any sauce on top). Found part of a cockroach in my burrito and the manager, Dan Olsen, did not apologize. I was shocked that he did not refund what I paid for the meal, he only offered a new meal. Great, so I can eat another cockroach? No thank you! The 3 other people I was with could not eat another bite of their food, that was barely started. Yet, the manager refused to give money back or even apologize. If you like insects in your meal and a very greasy and wrinkled shirt manager who is better qualified to clean bowling shoes, then the Tijuana Flats on Tampa Road in Oldsmar Florida is the place to go. This is my first time here and I walked in and the manager Dan made me feel so welcome and treated me like a valued customer- he explained the menu to me and I ordered crispy tacos and they were very tasty! He checked up on me to make sure I liked my food! The restaurant was clean and neat and the cashiers were all very friendly and they seemed to genuinely like working here because they have such a great manager! After being spoiled by the Linebaugh location, I decided to give this location a try. I would say the two Tijuana flats locations differ like night and day. Aside from getting food poisoning which sidelined me for a little over a day, service was below par. I asked for two waters for example. The person delivering food told me that it would probably be awhile (strange, but at least she told me). I was probably half way through my meal before the waters arrived. We had a kids meal with an apple juice included as well which I had to remind them of twice. They were not busy either. Next, the kids meal always comes with a tattoo for the kids. Again, I had to ask when it didn't come only to be told they have been out for awhile but they are on order. Good service would be to avoid a disappointed child and tell them upfront when ordering. Food quality just seemed to suggest that a special something was missing from the preparation or presentation. It just seemed very bland and not characteristic of my visits to the Linebaugh location. Finally to the food poisoning. While eating my burrito, I definitely bit into some cold (not like warm or room temperature) chicken. It happened multiple times and I was more than half way through eating the burrito, so i didn't bother complaining. A couple hours later, the food poisoning symptoms ramped up and had me out of commission for about two days. I will not be back and would recommend driving a little further to the Linebaugh location. read more

Huge fan of Tijuana Flats. The food is very good, you get good sized portions and it always tastes really good. The prices are extremely fair for what you get. They have some great deals, Taco Tuesdays has tacos for a great prices, and there is a Burrito Thursday too. They do some great specials during the week. I've had a few different items, like their take on a Cheesy Gordita Crunch. One of the better parts of the restaurant is the hot bar. They have a great selection of hot sauces, and even offer the same tasting hot sauce in several different heat levels, so that you can get the same great taste, but adjust the heat level based on how spicy you want your food. The only real negative about the restaurant is that when its busy, be prepared to wait. Other then that though, its a great stop for the whole family to grab some quick excellent food read more

Clean vibrant restaurant; Has the feel of cross between Mexican modern, traditional, beachside decor. Outdoor seating is available. Laid back ambiance which also has sports feel cause of the TV's playing sport games. The flautas are my go to item here. It is topped with cheese and guacamole. You can get them cheese filled and/or with chicken or beef. Their nachos are large can feed 4 people. Chips are light and crisp. Choose your own toppings and comes with guac and salsa on the side. SALSA Bar; i brought my fiance' here and loves hot sauce and salsa. By far this place has between 12 different choices of sauces and you can also buy a bottle of your own to take home. Dessert: Cookie dough flautas. These are good finisher. comes with a side of melted hot chocolate for dipping. it's just the right amount of sweetness and doesn't feel heavy(recommended) read more

This Tijuana Flats is very nice. The atmosphere is family friendly and the customer service is always great. I prefer this location more than the one in Westchase simply because the lighten is better. It is very nice and bright and you can see your food. The staff here is always pleasant and so willing to refill drinks. I especially like the way they handle orders. They greet you at the door and are so patient if you're deciding what you want to order. They explain the menu items and offer helpful suggestions of you're torn on what to order. The lighting is great for the sauce bar as it is easy to see and decide which flavor you want. There are several TVs around the restaurant and playing different things for all to enjoy. There is also outdoor seating that is comfy for guest to enjoy. I give this location 4 stars because sometimes they can be a tad slow on their service. read more

We placed order 15 minutes before arriving and once we got there we waited another 30 minutes for 2 items. It's like an Outback Steakhouse and Taco Bell hooked up at an early age and is now stuck with a kid they called Tijuana Flats. Outback: Pre-teens opening the door, bubbling with energy and checking on you every two minutes. Taco Bell: quality of food, cheap and portions are huge. The place is "edgy", they have a hot sauce with "ass" in the title. If you get the tacos on Tuesday you get a free Ed Hardy shirt. read more

This is a chain. The first one I visited was in Orlando. The food is very good and consistent. They have a lot of custom and specialty hot sauces, which is for what they are known. If you aren't trying their hot sauces (they have mild ones), then you are missing out! Some may consider it a work-aurant instead of a restaurant, but after you order and sit down, they bring out your food and provide free soft-drink (and water) refills. The food is typical fast casual - the portions are big for the tacos and burritos and are of good quality. Of late I've been ordering a salad and absolutely love their citrus vinaigrette! The service is what makes this place stand out... they race, literally race, to the door to open it for you, offer refills constantly and check on you better than any full service restaurant I've seen. Whoever does the hiring and the training here needs to teach others what to look for! They've managed to make a work environment fun for their staff and yet have their staff serious enough to take and look after their customers. We were excited to finally try this place as we heard it was delicious. Oh it was awful we ordered through uber eats. Came within 30 minutes but gross. The enchiladas, tacos and quesadillas were Dried out. I couldn't tell if their was any cheese on the enchiladas. The rice was dry and we received a 3oz container of it I guess that's their double order. We barely ate any of it, was too scared we would get food poisoning. I just want to say this store has made quite the turn around. My husband and I ate here Monday night for the first time in almost a year. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff that night. The manager held the door for us immedietly grabbed a high chair for my daughter and asked us where we'd like to sit. On of the girls came over shortly after and took our order at the table, noticing we were struggling with an upset infant. The food came out quick and was perfect!! (Part of our issue in the past). This establishment is one of the most disgusting Tijuana's I have ever been to. I waited ten minutes with my toddler to use the restroom while and employee was in there (which was fine obviously employees also need the use of a restroom) and came in to toilet paper all over the place and what looked like either a. A diarrhea explosion or B. Someone who had just threw up all over the toilet. My problem is this; if you work somewhere and the bathroom is absolutely disgusting-clean it up, it is a reflection of your work place and you as an employee. Clearly there is no management overseeing the cleanliness of the restaurant. In addition to the bathroom debacle I had placed an online order and waited 15 minutes longer than the time it had been said to have been ready all while watching about 6 people come order food get food eat and then leave and watching the two employees at the front literally do nothing except flirt with each other. I approached the employees about the order and the were rude and offered no solution (like offering salsa or ANYTHING while waiting). I finally just asked them to cancel the order. NEVER will I patronize this place again, what seemed like the manager didn't give two sh**s about what was going on and did not even try to apologize for waiting 45 min for two enchiladas and an order of flautas. read more
