Accidentally went to the dentist a week early so since they obviously couldn't see me decided to have a late lunch and I'm new to the area from Dallas and decided to check this place out. Couldn't have possibly had a better experience. Row/Roe? and Elena were an absolute delight as well as a man that I believe might be the GM. Everything was clean and organized and the food came out in a timely manner and tasty delicious. This is the first place I have found in 11 months of being in the Tampa area that has queso that taste like Texas. Everywhere else is bland and both their yellow and queso blanco we're great. Food was very reasonably priced. I have already texted my husband letting him know that I need to bring him out to try next time we can escape to this side of town and will certainly start planning my dentist appointments nearby around lunchtime so I can swing by here afterwards

I have officially been to two Tijuana Flats in the nearby area now. I have to say, as the workers did they me this one is new, it's so nice and fancy! I mean nothing wrong with the other ones, but the layout and decor of a newer Tijuana Flats like this one was amazing! I truly loved it. The food here is always awesome! We ordered a taco meal, and a salad meal. The salad was ALOT of food, definitely enough for more than one meal. Awesome service and very quick. I love that they don't charge extra for full toppings like guacamole and sour cream like other restaurants. And I have to say their guacamole is one of my favorites for sure. So tasty!

This was my first time visiting Tijuana Flats, so I ordered online and opted for curbside pickup. Gladly I did this, because it's a Friday night and they were packed! I ordered the New queso crunch burrito, with grilled chicken, double sides of refried beans, and a refreshing Coca Cola to drink! I must say the service was incredibly fast, and the server who brought my food was a doll! Just a warning: if you order what I did, do not attempt to eat this while driving. It is an insanely messy, large burrito! At first I was skeptical about the flavors, I felt like too much was going on with the flavors, but then I hit the crunchy part and that part was heaven! I wish I could have ordered it grilled! I will give the burrito a 7/10 score because it wasn't my absolute favorite, but it was still very filling. The chips, queso and salsa that came with the combo on the other hand, were the best I think I've ever had. Specifically the salsa. I could order a whole gallon of this salsa and consume it all myself. I loved it. The refried beans were pretty good too! I will definitely be back... most definitely for that heavenly salsa!!!

See any pork here? Me neither. Even moved all the salad. Waste of money.

Worst food I've eaten in a long time. Ordered carnitas tacos for just over $11.00. Got a soft flour tortilla with a bunch of lettuce, some tomatoes. A little cheese, some mayonnaise type sauce and a lump of pork fat on one taco and the other had the same with about 3 very stringy pieces of pork (minus the fat). I circled the hunk of fat in the picture. See the size in relation to the chip. Taste was bland. Was I supposed to smother this in one of their hot sauces to make it better? Not sure what the draw of this place is. Not going back. Hubbys buritto was not any better. One small piece of fried chicken with not a lot of sauce smothered in rice. Yum! (Not)

The food here is NOT TEX-MEX! You're better off going to Taco Bell!! The portions look good on the outside, but the filling is disproportionate to the size. I ordered the steak chimichanga and what I got was a LOT of tortilla with a small amount of steak (maybe a tablespoon or two's worth). Really sad. Pictured is about 3/4 of the meat. You can see the amount of tortilla after eating 1/3. Oh and the meat tastes old. Two stars for the murals.

This was my first time at a Tijuana Flats and I have to say it's now my favorite Tex Mex restaurant. From the moment walking in and being greeted to the on point cashier to the quick delivery of the large hot delectable portions of food and amazing attitude of every single employee in the place I just couldn't be more impressed. Everyone genuinely seemed happy and so extremely helpful that the 2.00 tip at the cashier just didn't seem enough and my husband and I found ourselves wanting to add more before we left. A genuinely wonderful experience and some of the best service I have come across, even from 5 star restaurants. If all Tijuana Flats are like this one then this chain has found the key to success!

Taco salad with chicken, salsa and guacamole on the side. Yum!

This is probably my favorite Tex Mex place. Everything is so fresh! It tastes good and looks good too. Very kid friendly. Inside and outside seating. Staff is friendly and helpful- opening doors and helping to navigate the menu, delivering food to the tables. I love love love the sauces. So many to pick from. Today I tried the taco salad for the first time -yum! The kids love the dos taco combo. Sometimes you can hear the guy cooking in the kitchen sing to the radio- he's really good and it makes the place seem more fun and family oriented. Enjoy!

I've been here before with friends a few times, years ago but somehow never wrote a review and hadn't been back. It was time to fix both of those problems. . I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and had my pick of spots in the large, festive- rustic dining room. There are tables and booths aplenty-along with tall stools at the large bar. They bring you a generous basket of chips and salsa right away. The first round is free-they charge after that. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. To me, the salsa needs more heat or spices-but don't go by me-I have tomato issues. My server arrived soon and was so sweet when handling my questions. She helped me make good ordering decisions and also checked on me often, but didn't hover. I went with one of the lunch specials, which was a good deal. I had the Speedy Gonzalez: a beef taco, beef enchilada verde and rice (you could have also chosen beans). It's tasty and filling-and goes down great with those aforementioned skinny margs. I ordered the cheese dip and a side of flour tortillas to dip in it. I just can't resist a bowl of cheese. All this merriment on a Monday afternoon? Si!!! The menu is big-and has echos of the Vallarta's restaurants here in the Bay Area. I'm wondering if it's a sister restaurant. It's in a strip mall, with some parking in front and maybe more in back. There's outdoor seating-and I know they used to have mariachis on certain nights-and people would dance. I should find out if that's still the case. I love mariachis even more than a bowl of cheese. Gran Agave has been here a long time. I think it has a strong local following-and I need to become a regular.

My rice and beans were hot and delicious, but my cheese enchiladas were cold. The cheese was NOT melted and cold inside. The sauce was not hot either. As a connoisseur of fried ice cream, we decided to try theirs. It was just coated in cereal, not actually fried. It was just sort of meh. Service was great- she was super nice, but didn't come check to make sure our food was okay. Would I go back? Eh I'd probably go try other Mexican restaurants in the area first.

My husband asked for some cilantro. Our server brought out a small container of it (see picture) and never said a word about there being a charge. When the bill came, we noticed we were charged $0.99 for it. Let me be clear: I do NOT care about the $0.99. What I care about is basic honesty and transparency. If you're going to charge customers for something, tell them ahead of time. When Lupe (who was not even our server) came to grab our credit card, I politely asked about it. Instead of simply acknowledging that it should have been mentioned, she immediately became argumentative and said there's a charge for everything. That completely missed the point. I repeated that my issue is not the charge -- it's the fact that nobody told us beforehand. She continued arguing with me, insisting that it didn't come with my original plate so there's a charge. AGAIN, that is not the point. The point is no one told us there would be a charge until the bill showed up. What should have been a simple "I'm sorry, we should have mentioned that" turned into an unnecessary argument with a rude employee who clearly didn't care about the customer experience. It's not about $0.99. It's about terrible communication and even worse customer service. That interaction completely ruined the meal for us. Horrible way to treat customers. We will NOT be coming back and I definitely do NOT recommend this place.
