This is been my go to place for years. I love everything about it. The people, the amazing food, the free beans! Bright colors, the horchata, and the way the people behind the counter make you feel like you are family. I still absolutely love it and will always be a regular, but I have to comment on the fact that they no longer have avocados or guacamole. Apparently this is a budget-type decision from upper management, but it prevents me from getting my favorite item on the menu. Carne asada quesadilla with everything. This was one of the single best things I've ever eaten in my life. I have no idea that guacamole was a key ingredient and the source of all of my taste buds' joy...until I ordered one and it didn't have any in it. It went from a 10 to a 2. As long as the guacamole is gone, I will never get another carne asada quesadilla there, and my heart is broken. I will still be back for the al pastor tacos con piña!! This place is still my jam. But my heart aches over the guac. I'd gladly pay an extra buck or two for a quesadilla if it meant that my happiness could return! read more

Wow, why did it take me so long to try this place?! Pomona's taco scene is packed with amazing mom-and-pop shops, and this spot absolutely lives up to the hype. I'd driven past it countless times and finally stopped in after a coworker (who's not even from around here!) raved about it being his go-to lunch spot. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I ordered my usual--carne asada and al pastor tacos--and they were phenomenal. The meats were bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with all the good stuff: onions, cilantro, and a generous scoop of guacamole. The corn tortillas were grilled to perfection with a slight crunch that made me wonder if they were kissed by a quick fry. Either way, it was taco heaven in every bite. First of all I used to live in Tijuana for about 8 yrs, I know tacos, the idea is good, but that's it. The place is terrible, outdated, not clean, employees coming in and out with their on food from other businesses around, some smoking right by the door on the outside, but all very friendly. Flies, flies everywhere impossible to eat, inside and out, seating is very, very limited, and flies everywhere. The chile taco is ok, the meat has no taste just very greasy, basic tacos were not good, greasy, no taste, and flies everywhere, will not recommend and will not be back, end it up throwing away the last five tacos our family order, impossible to eat a good meal there, I had a lot of hope for this place, I drove about 25 min to get there and spend about $40, bukanas in covina, don chente in montebello even pollo loco has better tacos, way better. read more

The family and I have been looking all over the place for a good place to get Mexican tacos. We have tried many places but they just don't have the flavor i am looking for. Until I came across this place. I went in and started to see what i want. there had many types of meats. I order my two al pastor and two of asada. Then they gave me a little cup for my beans. I went to the salsa bar and to the side there were beans. I got some and the beans were really good. Once they called my number I went and got my order. I sat down and started eating. These tacos where the best i had so far. I finally found the flavor i was looking for.Grilled. Most places don't grill the meat and then cut it up into thin strips. The tacos where so juicy. I normally don't eat tacos in this city, area, county!!! I drive to East LA for my taco fix cause I like to eat authentic street tacos. Well when I don't feel like driving 30-40 mins for tacos this is the spot that I turn to. I love this place and my picky kids do too. That says a lot for me. Place is always full. It is small but its so worth it. I actually like this better than King taco. They hook I up with full size tortillas not mini ones. So you get a good sized taco full of your choice meats + they give you grilled onions and nopales mmmmmm. You also get beans and salsa... no extra charge. I highly recommend this place. you know the place has some great food when there is a line out the door @ 9pm on a sunday night! i found the staff to be helpful and very friendly. i got 3 street tacos;asada great,pastor great,and carnitas well my dog loved it! i also ordered an asada quesadia which was great,lots of meat,cheese,and a thin guac sauce. it did take a while to oreder and even longer to get my food,which i took to go do to limited seating. but after i got my limes,salsa,and ranch style beans from the salsa bar,i stood and waited up front,while myself and others were waiting,the friendly cook was giving out fully dressed asada street tacos to people waiting for their food orders,nice touch! read more

Vine por primera vez a los tacos Tijuana en la locación de Pomona, los tacos me gustaron mucho están muy deliciosos pero la señora que me atendió en la caja pues muy abusiva y la verdad me arruinó el día sólo con el hecho de tratarme tan mal deberían de mejorar el servicio de las personas ya que los tacos están muy ricos la señora se llama Claudia y se le notaba que era homofobica y al verme con mi novio pues ella empezó a actuar pesada. If you're looking for authentic Tijuana-style tacos, this is the spot in Pomona! I stopped by with my coworkers, and we were all blown away by how good everything was. I had three tacos al pastor and tripa and they were absolutely delicious. The al pastor was juicy and perfectly marinated, with just the right amount of char from the grill, while the tripa was crispy and packed with flavor. Every bite was perfection. And the best part? the people who have visited this place call it a whole in the wall bad neighborhood. this historical district and was a great neighborhood til this nasty place opened. There is no parking so the customers have killed all our parkways,broke our sprinklers,and you dump your diapers and trash in our yards,and of course you urinate in our yards,yes it was a nice place to live until a taco stand opened. if you could smell the nasty grease they cook the food in all day and nite you would give it minus stars. read more

Hazardous objects found in food. I ordered the chicken and beef soft taco meal and found a black piece of metal/plastic about the size of a small marble in the chicken mix. I bit on it hard and almost broke my teeth. I told them about it and they seemed indifferent. Bad service. Oh, and the food was horrible. The chicken and beef had way too much lard in it. I have to say the salsa was great the establishment is updated with a nice decor. However the carne was full of fat and the meat was mixed with other types of meat. The tacos tasted like burnt grill as well as the meat. And they ran out of beans... on a Thursday at 11am.... Hope you all have a better experience however I will not be coming back :) read more

The restaurant looked busy and a little intimidating from the outside; and if you don't speak Spanish the extensive menu is difficult to follow. But if your can calm your fears, this is a stand worth visiting. The carne asada taco was delicious and very authentic.
