Employee takes tiny ice sized tongs and picks up about 1oz of red cabbage and places it in my salad. Me: "May I have a little more cabbage please?" Employee: "that will be .75 cents." That's basically half the retail cost of an actual head of cabbage. I bet it's the actual cost wholesale. There's being cost conscious and there is being cheap and unserious about descent customer service. Here's a thought, instead of weighing the amount of greens you place in a bowl at the start of the salad build, how about weighing what the customer purchases at the end? This place was mediocre. Extremely overpriced for what it is. What I would call Panda Express-ish with less flavor. Service was decent until the bill came. I noticed I was charged for two hot teas. I asked about this because I ordered one hot tea, I drank most of it but more than halfway through the meal I asked for a 2nd cup. They brought it but failed to mention they were charging me for a second tea. When I asked the server about this they said they charge per cup not tea pot. Completely nonsensical. Especially because they did not ask me if I wanted more tea at any point throughout my meal. If they had I would not have argued about being charged for the second cup. But to put the onus on the customer to know what their policies are and then to argue with them is asinine. I complained about $1.90 on a total bill of $85.86 for three. It isn't about the money, it's about the principal and the argumentative waitress who was very rude. They ended up removing the second cup from my bill. But not without a lot of unpleasantness. VERDICT: Visit Panda Express and save yourself 55% of what you would spend on the same quality food. read more

Was craving for Chinese food and stumbled upon this restaurant for dinner. They have their own private parking lot with plenty of parking, which is a plus. The restaurant looks pretty nice on the inside. Didn't expect that from their exterior. Got seated right away, no waiting. Their menu is extensive. Please note that this is a Hong Kong style Chinese food, which I love wholeheartedly. Staffs were very friendly, made dinning here more enjoyable. We ordered the followings: - Black Pepper Beef - Sauteed Spicy String Beans - Seafood Crispy Noodles - Orange Chicken - Steam Rice All the dishes were fairly good except for the Black Pepper Beef. While I enjoy Chinese food, it isn't regularly in my rotation. However, I had the pleasure of having lunch at Cachanilla with a friend after shopping Sunday afternoon. 100/10 stars, this is by far the tastiest Chinese food in the area, with a beautiful interior and wonderful service. This is Mexicali style Chinese, and every single person I take here has loved it. I am obsessed with the shrimp chop suey and the honey walnut shrimp. The friend rice is also amazing. Mexicali raised and lived years eating Cachanilla Chinese food gal for life. Let me give you the honest review. Pros: walnut shrimp was 10/10! The restaurant is very well kept inside and it does remind me of the classy and look that Mexicali has all around. The beef fried rice was decent too. Lots of parking and well kept for the area I didn't see trash of homeless on site. Also the red pork meat was yummy. Cons: My mom raved about the Duck here however we ordered a half order for $40 a La carte and it wasn't crispy as she requested. We asked the waitress to please make it a little bit more Crispy she said they couldn't and told my mom no. We also ordered shrimp friend rice with beef and got no shrimp. So we kindly asked they just didn't charge us the three meat one we ordered. The waitress didn't even bother again to try and make it right. They also don't carry the cold ice tea served in Mexicali. The spicy mayo is also not available. The fish chips are also missing. The manager was very nice and kind but the waitress was dismissive and not really helpful. Tip for MANAGEMENT: Look into the service the waitress is providing it's not good and cold. I read another recent review that she was rude to long term customer. Thats a red flag don't loose long term clients for bad service. But the food is good and it gets you a closer taste of Mexicali but can never match the quality of amazing experience in a real Cachanilla restaurant. read more

I came back here for a special occasion where we rented out the private room for our group of 18 people. Overall it was an awesome experience. We opted for the family combination and it was perfect. The food tasted much better this time so not sure if it was because it was a different chef, but it seemed to be less salty and everyone really enjoyed their dishes. My grandpa is also usually very picky about his food but he absolutely loves this place now. I really enjoyed how the Lazy Susan was not-so-lazy and actually rotates at a slow pace so that there isn't that usual wait for someone to get something before you can get something. I have been here for lunch and dinner. They do offer a lunch special menu. I think it's a great value. I have tried a couple of items here. My favorite would have to be the kung pao three kinds. This is just kung pao sauce with chicken, beef, and shrimp. This dish is flavorful. Another dish I usually order when I'm sick is their wonton soup. You get some vegetables, pieces of chicken, wontons, and a nice broth. It's warm and comforting. They do offer set family dinner meals that can feed 4-5 people up to 10-12 people. The inside of the restaurant is a nice size and can accommodate a good-sized party. Overall, if you're in the area and have a hunger for some good Chinese food, try this place out.
