    Fried chicken sandwich
    Shirley N.

Our 19th hole was here. It's a bar and outdoor cafe facing the water. It's difficult to make it out as tables, umbrellas, and the pool are blocking the ocean view. Nevertheless we enjoyed both our beers and food. The four of us shared the vegetable quesadilla with shrimp. Sis & BIL shared the fish tacos and fried chicken sandwich. Fruit salad side & green salad. Each taco had two itty bitty pieces. Hubby & I shared the fried chicken sandwich and the deep fried shrimp. Sides were fries and fruit salad. We all agreed the fruit salad was excellent. Fresh pineapple chunks, honeydew & cantaloupe. Located at the Westin Hilton Head resort

We ended up at View 32 for after-dinner drinks. This place was OK. View 32 is one of the restaurant and bar options located at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, on the northeast side of the island. It's open for lunch and dinner daily and is family-friendly. View 32 is located outside, adjacent to and above the pools, on the hotel's main level, same floor as the lobby. From the lobby, exit the doors facing the beach and head right and you'll run into the restaurant and bar. There are pool and distant beach and ocean views. The central bar is covered, but most of the dining tables are uncovered, on the patio. They do have umbrellas. The bar has TVs. During our visit, some folks came down from their rooms to catch a game. Our group of four sat on one of the couches that lines the inside of the bar area. Lounge seating. The dinner menu had a straightforward selection of soups, salads, apps, sandwiches, burgers, entrees, and desserts. Standard American fare. For example, crab cake ($16), Cobb salad ($16), fish (grouper) tacos ($17), steak frites ($42), shrimp and grits ($28), and bourbon pecan pie. The drink menu featured frozen cocktails ($13-14 each), "refreshers on the rocks" (cocktails with ice, $13-16 each), and a limited selection of beer and wine. We ended up going with one of View 32's three dessert cocktails, the Chocolate Martini ($15 each). I recommend it. It was made out of Smirnoff Vanilla, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Baileys Irish Cream, and half and half. The drink was delicious. It was sweet, but not too sweet, creamy, strong, and tasty. My wife loved it and thought it was the best drink she had on this particular trip to Hilton Head. We hit up a few different spots for cocktails this time, so that's high praise for View 32 and the main reason I'm rating it 4 stars here on Yelp. Service was fine. We weren't served at the couch/table, but instead had to go up to the bar. We stayed past closing time (10pm) and weren't asked to leave, but we left as we noticed the staff closing down for the night.

My husband and I came by to the bar while waiting for our room and got a little snack. Our server/bartender was very friendly and took our orders quickly. We ordered a virgin pina colada and tiger paw to start off and it was DELICIOUS! Then we ordered the mason jar dips and crab cake shareable plate. The mason jar dips had hummus, cheeses, olives, and pimento cheese served with crackers and pita bread. They were soooo good. The crab cake came with quinoa and arugula salad which was pretty good. The atmosphere is very relaxing as we could see the pool and beach. The outdoor seating area was comfortable. Definitely a nice, chill restaurant with good food.

This is a decent, poolside bar offering elevated bar food... prices are high, not only because it's in the resort, but also because it's at the pool. The place was packed when we went for lunch. We stopped in in between dipping in the pool. Our server was slow and hardly paid attention to our needs. The runner brought the wrong food for one of us. The chicken sandwich was over cooked and the chicken was very thin and dry. There was only a dab of sauce on the sandwich. The fries weren't hot when the food came out.   The pastrami salmon seemed to be a winner though, it was  exactly how my wife wanted it and she enjoyed it.   Overall, not worth the price... they could use a lesson in offering better service too. They're friendly, they're just acting like they are doing us a favor by allowing us to eat there.

Lowcountry Blue Crab Cake Sliders with Fries

We had lunch at View 32 on a beautiful day. The Lowcountry Blue Crab Cake Sliders were good and just what I was looking for in a crab cake. The Crispy Grouper Tacos had a very small piece of fish in them, but had good flavor. Both came with a generous helping of fries. Service was good and attentive. It's convenient and provides decent options. The location is its main selling point.

This was an easy choice after a long drive, we just wanted to eat and get on with our evening. We had no expectations and it was fine. I was disappointed to learn the the bar and the tables had two different menus. We sat at the bar and didn't realize this until we ordered, and the other menu seemed to have more options. The menu is limited and pricy. We ordered a southern fried chicken sandwich ($18) and the grilled cheese BLT ($15). Both came with fries, which were double fried. There was very little in terms of seafood, and the fried shrimp were the small shrimp you'd get at a chain restaurant. No thanks. I was happy to see MacMurray Pinot Noir on the wine list, it's a favorite. Service was good, no complaints there, but not worth the price.

We ate dinner here after a long day traveling. Our food was great...had the chicken wings, burger, BLT grilled cheese...our server was personable and the view is nice. There seem to be a lot of negative reviews but we had a good experience...and we're staying here so may eat here again.

Average food, average service, above average prices, cool pool patio. Don't expect anything extraordinary. Just come with an extra $20/head and be ok with it.

Sea bass and spinach salad! Both were great!

Love the Westin! This restaurant is right next to the pool with great ocean views. We wanted a light meal, so tried the salad and sea bass, both were great! Only disappointment was the sea bass was tiny!

The server was very friendly, however, I started my meal without water and utensils. I ordered the charcuterie plate, which was ridiculous for the price. it came with a few pieces of meat and moldy cheese that was not presented well. I indicated that I cannot eat carbs, but most of the plate was carbs. The best thing on the plate was the Marcona almonds. Definitely not worth $26. The chef gets a 5 star for creating a beautiful dish for me for my dietary needs. The original dish was scallop and lobster with linguine. He substituted spinach for me. It was professionally pleated, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The room is pretty and I loved the separate bar area with high tops. Even though the chef did a beautiful job creating my dish, I will not be back due to my seafood preference meals, unlimited menu, and charcuterie plate. The charcuterie plate gets a 0 star.

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

Starting with the burger, I like when a smash burger is ACTUALLY a smash burger. They include cheese and pickles on it and it was just the perfect burger. This is genuinely one of the best burgers around. The waffle fries deserve a special mention: fresh, nicely done, and you get a generous portion. Think Chick-fil-A fries, but the way they should be. The Truffle Fries are solid too -- just a bit rich for my taste, but that's purely personal preference. I also tried the Sweet & Spicy Chicken -- good and flavorful, though slightly heavy on the batter for me. Still worth a try. A Couple of Suggestions: A lower-carb side option would be a welcome addition -- I asked and it was a hard no. Hopefully Tin and Tallow considers adding some healthier alternatives down the road. Breakfast -- Proceed with Caution: The croissant with egg and cheese was, unfortunately, a miss for me. The egg and cheese were fine, but buttering an already butter-heavy croissant and griddling it turned it into a flat, gooey mess. I hear there's a biscuit option, which might be better -- but personally, I'd love to see an English muffin or bagel on the menu. Something with a little more structure would go a long way. Bottom Line: Come for the burgers and fries -- you won't be disappointed. Just maybe skip the croissant breakfast for now.
