Excellent service, food and cocktails! Parking is adequate but not ample. (Don't try to park your Super C in the lot :) The bar and dining area are in a sort of ramada with curtains. If you're there in cold weather, position yourself in front of one of the blasting electric space heaters. I was there in January and didn't pay much attention to the outdoor seating, but did notice some fun-looking transparent geodesic dome tent-like thingies you can sit in. I had raw local oysters, falafel bites, and nachos. The oysters were fresh, chilled and served with interesting condiments. The falafel was sizzling hot and served with delicious tzatziki. I opted for South African sausage on the nachos and they were an interesting dining experience: made with sturdy potato chips instead of tortilla chips. The best part? The margaritas! I know this place has a very high rating but I'm sorry we didn't get that during our latest visit on 5-8-26. Yes, latest visit since we also visited June 2025, and gave that visit a 4 star. Let me say there were several issues during this visit. First, they didn't have a common beer available, claiming they ran out of Corona. Now it is a Friday night and you're going into the weekend without one of the most popular beers - just crazy. Next I ordered the Low Country Boil, well after a few minutes another person comes to me as says they have no potatoes for the meal and offered extra sausage to make up the meal. I accepted that. When my meal came out, the server now tells me they owe me 2 more pieces of corn and they would quickly bring that to me. Guess what - never got them. The two pieces I did get were cold - I mean not fully boiled/cooked. Icy cold inside. Now we were with several other couples and one couple had to ask for their drinks a second time. Fact is their meal came out before their first drinks. I have to also mention the men's rooms. I was clearly hadn't been checked or cleaned in a while. Now let's face it, it got screwed up due to nasty guests, but staff really need to check it every so often. Folks I visit Tybee twice a year and there are plenty of options on the island. I think the Zunibar has lost my future business, as well as the 3 other couples we were with. If you choose here you have been warned. I hope you have a better visit. read more

Truly wonderful restaurant on Tybee! We loved the outdoor seating with our kids, and the food was really tasty. Our favorites were the chips & smashed avo (don't skip out on it, it's AMAZING!!), the wings, & the banana hammock drink. Probably the best blended drink I've ever had! So tropical and refreshing. Servers were very kind and hospitable, just docking one star for servers knowledge. She didn't seem very confident in the menu, and when we would ask questions such as "is it grilled chicken or fried in the kids taco" she would say "I believe it's grilled." Or it was noon and we wanted to order the shrimp, and she said "I believe it's not available until later". She didn't seem so sure and didn't really make an effort to find out to be sure. Stopped in for drinks, got more than we could ask for! Took a seat at the bar, great bartender- we actually got to know all of them! Great conversation and lots of real "local" information. I asked for strawberry lemonade and was told they didn't have it, asked for NA beer and they were out, I settled on a sprite instead. Two sprites, a low country boil Nickys Way, Fishermans Deck and 20% tip brought our total to $50+. Ok service, ok food! I am really surprized by the high ratings. We saw falafel on the online menu but in reality, they did no have it. I ordered the King Tide cocktail and it was pretty good. The peri peri queso was a small serving and did not taste or see any periperi spice in it. It was also not hot like queso needs to be. Though a bit pricey for dinner and some cocktails, we had a really nice experience here. My wife and I ate dinner outside while a live musician played acoustic covers on a Friday night. Our server told us about their happy hour specials (if we signed up for their email/text list) so we took advantage and got some money off of our drinks and took home souvenir cups. The food was tasty. I enjoyed the falafel sandwich and my wife had a fish sandwich. The chips and dip were good that came with them. I was full when I was done. We stayed a couple of hours to have a coupe of drinks each, eat our meal, and enjoy the live music. I can't rave about this place enough. I was at Tybee last weekend and after rain ruining my entire trip in Savannah, we went to Tybee for tropical vibes and stopped by Zunzibar. We were super happy with the vibe, their drinks and food. Definitely a tropical vibe place with great patio vibe and sipping on cocktails was a great idea. Our server was well informed and recommended us dishes. Thank you Sabina for that. The manager took good care of us and the staff was warm and helpful. For food we loved the bird island sandwich, so flavorful and healthy served with a side of Zunzi's chips & dips that are so good. Can't miss out on this. Wings in Dank sauce were juicy and delicious. Tossed in the sauce well, flavorful refreshing taste. In drinks, we ordered Coco-MO and Banana Hammock and each of them was exceptionally good. So tropical and much needed to beat the heat. Went here for lunch - gonna be honest coming from Atlanta I did not much from the wings here, but boy was I mistaken! We had multiple orders of the buffalo, curry, and chutney wings and some of the kettle cooked potato chips with their dank sauce. Our server was fantastic and stopped by the table no less than 4 times and when we first approached the restaurant looking lost he immediately took notice and told us to sit anywhere and he'd take care of us - definitely felt welcome. The sitting area was clean and everyone was really friendly. My wife and mother-in-law did not love the dank sauce, but I was pretty impressed by it. I ordered the smokehouse margarita and it had a little bit more tequila and less flavor than I was expecting. It waaaas strong! My wife and I have been frequenting the multiple locations since we first met. The vibrant feel and comfort food has always been such a joy to share. While We remain ecstatic for the success they have had; we both had a recent visit that highlighted either a rebranding or overall decline. While the diverse menu has been a welcome addition, abandoning flagship items might be an oversight. For example, the Conquistador used to be of gigantic proportions and leaving the client with a sense of shame after finishing the entire thing... now the price has seemingly increased and it's maybe 60% of its former glory in size and toppings were even more scarce. Not sure if it's new but charging for sauce to accompany an already under impressive sandwich is more insult to injury. The sauce is a staple and that was discouraging. We also ordered the queso with meat on our last trip....a once luxury now was served rather cold and smaller scale for even two people. When you're internally questioning if it's worth the calories..it's not. I don't wish to complain entirely..I very much want the franchise to succeed and hope it's not too far gone. There are many fantastic things that I love! As someone who frequents Tybee, it's an easy location for friends/family for ease of parking and sense of safety. When my boyfriend and I pulled up there was a woman playing rhythm guitar & singing. It's an open air bar with a roof. There's outside tables, tables under an overhead roof and the bar. They are contactless payments only - except for tips. My boyfriend got a tall miller light on tap and I got a small Don Julio margarita... I should have gotten a lg. The margarita was good, but the cup was FILLED to the top with ice I got a refill and the same thing. No one wants a cocktail full of ice. The shrimp was large and very tasty. It came with house made potato chips and a dipping sauce which was surprisingly good! I used it on the shrimp too. We have been eating at Zunzibar since they opened. The sandwiches are delicious and a generous size. The potato chips are made at one of their facilities and are quite yummy. Each meal usually comes with a couple of sauces. Unfortunately, ownership has changed hands. Now, the sandwiches are about 1/2 the size of what they were before. The potato chips are Zapps in a bag and quantity is less than 1/2 of what used to be served. Finally, there is no extra sauce included. Yet, the price is still the same as before. This was a letdown for me and I will not be back to that particular restaurant - Tybee Island facility. read more

Super disappointed. I have been going to Zunzi's for over a decade. It has always been a go to for when friends and family from out of town visit. My husband and I loved the slap chip nachos and would bring people here specifically for this dish. We brought a friend from out of town a few weeks ago and the new menu was beyond disappointing. Came not knowing what to expect and left very pleased with the experience. Party of four with two littles (8 &11). We decided to try the low country boil, classic style and it was delicious (use the gloves). The wife and I split it with a side of the homemade chips and dank sauce. All excellent and plenty to eat.
