    Fish sandwich

Do not come here. There's no beach view. The food is poor. The cook is unsanitary. The rum runner was good. Proportions are small and you do not get any sides. Onion rings were overcooked. Fish was very small in the fish sandwich. To gain access, you have to pay five dollars for parking and they give you a five dollar coupon to use at the restaurant. The only access is the long boardwalk, which was fine.

This is my son's favorite place on the whole planet. All year he talks about how much he wishes he could have Coco's tenders. They're the standard that he holds all other tenders to. And so I guess his affection for the place has rubbed off on me. We stay at the same resort every summer just so we can have easy access to Coco's. We eat here multiple times during our stay. Sometimes the line and wait for food can be incredibly long, but it's a small bar with a small kitchen there's literally only so much they can do when there's twenty plus people waiting for their orders. Memorial Day weekend is a mad house, most of the other days we're there is pretty chill. We've always been able to find a seat, with the lovely view and a nice beach breeze I've never minded waiting around for food. I've tried a few burgers, lots of the apps and they always come out hot and delicious. I really like getting the pina colada smoothie as well. They take Apple Pay so I don't have to worry about bringing my wallet or cash to the beach. This is a really special place of us, and I look forward to all the summers to come sitting with my drink after a long afternoon of swimming. Walked along the beach to tour the beachside bars, and this was our first stop. Had the Captain Colada - perfect texture for a piña colada and unlike most, it tasted like there was alcohol. It's tucked in a little from the beach, and has a volleyball court, if you're feeling up for a game.

Nice spot. Low key and conveniently located by the beach. They have an extensive bar and some reasonably priced items that made my kids happy. It has hippie vibes and the service depends on the persons mood. Good for the most part with some meh days. What I liked: kids ice cream options. French fries and juices. I haven't tried any of their other drinks. The location and decor are artistic and inviting. What I didn't like: no coffee and few gluten free options. Side note: they offer a cash discount. The discounted price is what is listed on the menu (so I wasn't sure how it's a 'discount'). There is a service fee for using credit cards. No Amex.

Only had drinks but giving Coco's five stars due to reasonable drink prices and beach ambiance. It was a fun place right off Singleton Beach.

Coco's is situation just next to the neighborhood where we stayed during our annual family beach vacation on HHI. They stay open until 10 a.m. and have an assortment of wonderful cocktails. I had the Lynchburg Lemonade last night and cannot wait to try others before we leave. It's a great, casual, beach-side cantina and also has an assortment of food items. It's a great way to unwind at the end of a wonderful day on the beach.

Very nice, very islandi-ie. unless your coming from the beach your looking at a half mile walk each way to get here from the mainland. Drinks were excellent and my burger was rather tasty. Good spot to hang out. Seats are limited

Amazing gem off the beach. Full atmosphere and passed the vibe test. Great food and service. Check out the bread used for their sandwiches - wow! Tried a fried baloney sandwich for the first time - who'd a thunk it? 2 thumbs up!

Excellent beachside bar with all the island classics! It gets busy at lunch but it's totally worth it! Service was top notch

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

Except for the fried green tomatoes- those were very good, dipped in blue cheese dressing (ranch was bad, tasted like plain mayonnaise with a parsley sprinkle) The pimento cheese appetizer was so disappointing! Tasted like cream cheese mixed with packaged shredded cheddar and 3 small pieces of raw red pepper; served with stale corn chips and uninspired pita. Was so looking forward to good homemade pimento cheese in the south! The grouper sandwich was sad, my friend only ate the fish and left the bun and tomatoes on the plate. The mac and cheese was even sadder, described as baked mac and cheese it was more like old leftovers, cold, separated noodles that were really dry. The shrimp blt salad- the aforementioned fried green tomatoes were the best part. The bacon was cold and floppy and kind of unchewable. It was served on wilted arugula. I'm so confused by all the rave reviews! Maybe this was a one off.

I had the Low country boil with shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes seasoned with Old Bay, and it was DELICIOUS! I asked for a little extra Old Bay on the side in a cup because I felt it needed a little more, but that's just a personal preference. The hush puppies with honey butter were also hot, fresh, and delicious. I had a margarita as well, and it was really good. The atmosphere is great, and sitting outside overlooking the water makes it even better. The manager also stopped by our table to check on us, which I really appreciated. He noticed my husband hadn't finished his food and wanted to make sure everything was okay. He enjoyed it, he was just full! Great food, beautiful views, good vibes, and attentive service. The sauce was creamy but somewhat bland, which allowed for the perfectly cooked scallops to shine. My mom got the seafood pasta which was fantastic and flavorful.
