If this had been my first experience with Chef Alfredo's I don't think I would ever go back. We have gone to the location in Cedar City many times and we always rave about it and take everyone there whenever we are in town, which made this experience even more disappointing. We brought two friends with us and ended up feeling bad and apologizing to them for such a terrible experience. Let me first say that this location was gorgeous! It's very spacious and the parking was easy even though the street was under construction. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waiter did a very bad job, maybe he was new but he should've had some guidance if that were the case. He dropped cheese on my lap, later dropped a dirty fork on my lap, passed food through other guests even though there was plenty of space to walk around the table. He also used one guests fork to shove into the cheese shredder to remove stuck cheese. Just weird, uncomfortable, unprofessional behavior. We hoped that the food would make up for the terrible service but sadly it didn't. We ordered the veal parmigiana and the rigatoni carbonara. The bread that was brought to the table first was mediocre, we had a caprese salad which was yummy, unfortunately that was the only win. The veal was tough and the rigatoni was just not impressive, we didn't even eat half of either dish. They were also out of the wine we ordered, maybe understandable but in combo with all the other misses it was just another disappointment. I really hope this place can get some guidance from the Cedar City location because we have been loyal fans for several years and we would love to see it succeed but there is work to be done to get it there. read more

My ONLY GRIPE was the service, it was hard to get a drink refill or anything that wasn't food. Food was well-seasoned and portions were perfect, not so much that you question your life choices, and not too little that you're left saying "bruh". The foods, spinach and artichoke dip, stuffed shells, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, blackened chicken carbonara, and tortellini with parm crusted chicken. Best bite was the blackened chicken carbonara, the heavily seasoned chicken breast with the creamy carbonara was the perfect mix. The spinach and artichoke dip was also pretty good, heavy handed on the garlic but tasty. Oh! The fresh free bread with the olive oil and balsamic on the table *might* fill you up before the meal, it was a good starter. The desserts tiramisu and crème brûlée, tiramisu was ok, quite boozy. And the crème brûlée was a little on the soft side but the brûlée topping was still nice and crackly. Overall, will be back for the food, I think I'm good on the desserts. read more

Came in on a Friday for a 5pm reservation. We had a large group which took two tables. We ordered the signore salad and the rigatoni carbonara with blackened chicken. The meal came served with bread. (delicious-toasted with onions on top. The signore salad dressing was great. There was fresh strawberries, pears candied pecans and bleu cheese-loved it! The carbonara has a very creamy sauce with lots of spinach and peas-great creamy taste. Would definitely return if ever in the area. read more

Chef Alfredo gave us an excellent meal last night. The server was attentive, the manager was pleasant, and our food and wine were delicious.

One problem: Though we had reservations, we had to wait for a table...even though there were lots of empty tables. Then, once we were seated, it took a while for a server to come. They apologized that there was a problem with the computer. Plus, there was a shortage of wait staff. The server brought a basket of bread while we waited. I ordered stuffed mushrooms with a creamy Parmesan sauce. It was very delicious. One of my friends ordered lobster with Alfredo. She liked it but remarked that the lobster did not taste fresh. Another friend ordered the Polpetto trio (3 meatballs) appetizer with marinara sauce. He liked it very much: The decor is subtly Italian. There was a wooden frame with hanging vines above. Well what can I say, one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to! Very nicely decorated place with beautiful art in the walls. We started with a Malbec and some bread with olive oil and basalmic vinegar. Had a Caesar salad to start that was ok, basic dressing. The entrees were Carbonara with blackened chicken and Florentine ravioli with chicken. Both were amazing with a perfectly balanced cream sauce. Finished the meal with some great tiramisu. I love the interior of this restaurant. It's decorated very nicely and it feels super cozy while you eat. The service is impeccable, and training that has been given to the staff shows with everything they do. Their service is really that good. My problem is with the food and the poor plating. Normally everything tastes absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately, lately we have been going on Sundays when the chef is not there due to our schedule. The last time I went, I think we found Jimmy Buffett's lost shaker of salt in my Gorgonzola topping for my steak. It was so salty I actually had to scrape the topping off just to stomach it, and eventually just stopped eating altogether because it hurt my tongue so bad. It's been 24 hours since I tried to eat their food, and my tongue still has cracks in it and hurts to move. That is an abnormally large amount of salt. The "Flambé" wasn't just a little salty, this was clearly a salty mistake that was made in the kitchen, and they couldn't care less that it had happened. The crème brûlée was curdled and the staff had issues serving the wine. We ended up with no apologies, even after kindly and respectfully voicing our concerns. With so many better choices in St. George, I probably will not be coming back. read more

We went to Chef Alfredo's the night before the St George marathon so all the runners in our group could carb load. We started off with the bruschetta and calamari. Bruschetta was good, but pretty standard. The calamari also came with fried shrimp and fried zucchini, all of it was tasty and would recommend this appetizer to anybody. I ordered the chicken marsala which was a good sized portion of chicken which was hammered thin. Much preferred over a giant, thick chicken breast. Marsala sauce had good flavor, cooked with mushrooms. I got risotto for my side which I was pleased with. On a busy night, our server and kitchen staff did a great job. Good came out fairly quickly, was cooked properly with no misses or issues. Good spot for Italian in St. George. read more

This is a super cute Italian restaurant. I love the set up inside that makes it feel like a cute Italian city with the lights and vibes wrapped around the poles. We called and made a reservation about 45 minutes before we wanted to go on a Friday night, which was easy and worth it! They seated us immediately once we got there. I ordered the ravioli tre formaggi and it was okay. I think my pregnancy taste buds might of gotten in the way because my mom thought it was delicious. I thought the cheese inside the ravioli tasted "dusty". Although the vodka sauce was amazing!! My sister order the gnocchi and said it was good, but nothing special. My daughter got the kids Mac n cheese and we all thought it tasted amazing! Also a great big portion size for a kids size. My mom got the chefs special which was lemon salmon and it was served with an Italian rice. The dressing over the salmon was amazing!! We all loved that. Overall it was a good experience and the staff was friendly and nice. It was a little odd that the hostess didn't give us a kids menu, we had to ask our waiter for one. read more

Classic Italian music and booths, if a bit cheapened by the fake dusty plants, greet you and the friendly staff guide you to belly bliss. As our server Dana said, everything in this menu is good. Italian sodas were lovely and refreshing but it took until dessert to get our waters refilled. I shared a pear salad (they do not split plates) with my sweetie and for the mains I had a lemony chicken dish(sorry didn't write it down) with olives and sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts (I only wish they would just give the hearts vs the stringy bits attached) and my love had the Gnocchi w prosciutto. Both were great. I had Spumoni in a 'cake' form but it was off menu and honestly something I could've skipped, as it was rock hard from the deep freeze and not even hot chocolate sauce melted it. We got a last minute reservation here and initially, the greeting was great. The young lady that sat us at our table was darling. At first, prior to taking our order the server was attentive to our table. Once our order was placed, however, we almost literally never saw her again. We ran out of water. I had to ask for the appetizer plate to be cleared at which point nothing was said about our dinner. I waited another 20 mins before asking to see our server again and when she came to our table and asked what we needed I said "our dinner!" It was then brought immediately as if it had been sitting and waiting - which I am sure was the case as my lasagna was cold and had to be sent back. Some things were ok but the lasagna was flavorless once it came back hot. Just not a place we ever consider returning to. Hopefully an off night as they seem to be quite busy. If u don't speak Spanish the people there make it VERY hard to order or get info AND if the order is wrong they can't help u becuz they "don't speak English". They'll tell u English after 5pm but then IF that happens to be true they're not available so... if the food is good enough to deal with people like that then I have to say the one at Dino crossing has better food than any of the other ones. I was in St. George for a graduation & was starving by the time it ended so opted for some hearty Italian food before driving back to Huntington Beach, CA. The "Chef Alfredo" isn't obvious when driving by. It's an Italian Restaurant sign that says "Chef Alfredo" in small font underneath it-so make sure to turn into there. The Shell has station is a good indicator to turn into as well. I ordered the lasagna bolognese and enjoyed my meal & finished it as well. My friend absolutely devoured his chicken carbonara & raved about how delicious it was. Service was pleasant. Everyone was attentive and kind. The restaurant is large inside with wonderful AC & comfortable seating. The lasagna lasted me the entire 5 hour drive back and the rest of the night! I wasn't even hungry when I got home. read more

I will put this place in the top 5. We came back a second night. Chef Gerardo came to our table both nights and was very friendly. Our server both nights was Shaena . Disappointed about some of the menu changes that were my faves for one. The other was that because my boyfriend was served the wrong salad combination which when the correct one arrived there was not enough time to finish it before the entree arrived, thus throwing off the whole timing of our meal. We made a reservation, which was great, but unfortunately the service was not good. We had two servers -- one was very kind, but the second was very condescending. He rushed my younger daughter to order, which made her feel uncomfortable and emotional. At the time we tried to brush it off and move on. We were seated at 6:45 and didn't receive our meals until almost 8:00. One server got my mom's meal wrong and then started blaming her for the mistake, even though it was clearly an error on his end. Again, we tried to let it go because my other daughter had ordered a similar dish, so they decided to switch the meals when hers arrived. Unfortunately, her order came out wrong too. Even after both meals were incorrect, he still would not fix the situation and continued making it seem like it was our fault. To top it off, they added a 30% convenience fee. Our group was 17 people, but we were paying as four separate families. Then we were asked to leave an additional tip on top of that. I feel customers should be able to decide whether the service deserves that amount, rather than having it automatically charged. Overall, the experience was disappointing due to the poor service and how the mistakes were handled. We will sadly not recommend or return. read more

First the service was great. We walked in and were seated right away. Our server was kind and answered all our questions. I had the Alfredo with chicken and the wife had the Lasagna. I started with the Cesar salad. This was a large salad and very good. The Alfredo was average. This is just my opinion but it seemed like they kind of skimped on the parmigiana in the sauce. The chicken could have had more flavor as well. Again the portion was large and we could have shared it. The lasagna was good. The sauce was kind of sweet which she was not expecting it had a good ratio between noodles and sauce. One of the best was the bread. I sometimes judge on bread. If I did on this one it would be a 5 star. The 4 was only based on the overall flavor. I would come again and try something different. read more
