This place was great - excellent food, friendly service and very accomodating of our group of 6 adults and 3 infants/toddlers (high chairs available on request!). Food highlights were BaiganBharta (a must if you like eggplant), saag paneer, lamb korma and aloo chaat were all excellent - very flavorful and very generous portions. Spice level is mild compared to other indian restaurants ("mild spice" was not hot at all) so don't be afraid to add some heat. Overall prices were very affordable for food and drink ($9 cocktails are a bargain) and a great experience overall. read more

We frequently order both of these items from the original location, and they are phenomenal. The tomato soup at this location is runny and flavorless. I was very excited to see an Indian restaurant had moved into our neighborhood. Coming from England, where Indian food is great, I long for good Indian food. This was about the worst Indian food I have had in the States! We ordered Lamb Vindaloo and Bhindi Marsala. The Vindaloo was tasteless -- can you believe you can have tasteless Vindaloo!!! Tikka is hit or miss. Stopped in after grocery shopping twice and had two VERY different experiences, even though I ordered the same exact thing, shrimp korma extra spicy. First time, they brought me leftovers: ordered shrimp extra spicy, got CHICKEN maybe medium spice, and the meat was undercooked, the naan was stale, and the rice had huge clumps, one the size of a baseball. Normally I'd never return to a place that served trash like that, but I skipped breakfast and missed lunch so gave them a second chance. Ordered the exact same thing and everything was perfect, one of the better meals I've had at an Indian restaurant. Your results may vary. Anyplace can have an off day. 3 stars. read more

This place is really really reasonably priced! You get really nice sized potions for the cost, and it's considerably cheaper than a lot of other Indian restaurants in Denver. From what I've had, the food is either fantastic or mediocre depending on what you order. I've ordered both a tikka masala and butter chicken there before and both times they were pretty greasy, but ok enough to eat. I LOVE their Mulligatawny Soup, some of the best I've had in Denver. It's a go-to order when it's cold out. Samosas are really really solid and so reasonably priced (like $7 for two pretty large ones). I'm not sure if I would order a tikka masala or butter chicken again, but may try out a curry theres that's not cream based some time and give it a shot. read more

This is the worst Indian food I have tried in a long time. Total waste of money. We ordered a bunch of things and I was disappointed that not even one dish was done right. It felt as if the chefs were trying to guess how to cook Indian food and experimenting. There was no authenticity of flavors in any of the dishes. The flavors were all over the place. For example, dal makhani had yellow lentils and rajma!! Any Indian would know why that's not right. Hakka noodles had desi tadka instead of soy/ vinegar etc. pani Puri was stale. It was a total disaster. And to top that, the quality of the food was bad because my stomach was burning for 2 days after eating their food. And this is coming from someone who loves spicy food. It is hard to believe that such a culinary gem could be located within such an unassuming location. We have visited the 6th Ave Tikka and Grill in person three times and have broadly sampled their extensive menu, from Tikka Masala to Jalfrezi to Rogan Josh to Daal Makhani to Tandori to Saag, among many others. Every morsel we have tasted has been absolutely flawless. The chef here is an unsung mastermind -- consistently producing spectacular flavors with uncompromising quality. Service has been earnest and timely. If you have Indian and Nepalese cravings, this is by far the best place in the area to indulge them. Best Indian food in Denver! Their food is pretty spicy tho so I recommend starting with mild to figure out whether you would like more spice. The portions are generous and the meat dishes have a good amount of meat in them which is a nice chance since many Indian restaurants give you all gravy and no meat. I've only ordered takeout and the food is always ready quickly and is piping hot when I bring it home. I also love that they offer all the traditional paneer dishes with a tofu option, it's a healthier, higher protein option to paneer without sacrificing any of the flavor of these traditional dishes. read more
