A cultural gem and a culinary experience right here in San Marcos! Honestly some of the most flavorful and intensely spicy food I have had in the United States. The sweet and sour soup was an Indo China fusion that blew me away!! I asked for it as spicy as possible, Curry Craft delivered!! This is a great place to stop in for lunch. Good food and an amazing lunch buffet! We come back again and again for lunch. I love the veggie options and can't get enough of the Lamb Curry. Everything is always fresh at the buffet. I haven't ever ordered straight off of the menu because the buffet is so enticing. The samosas are large. I can never finish one. I love that when I called in for the order they ask if you'd like it vegan or as it comes, spice level, etc. I have been thinking about that delicious chana masala ALL DAY today and I would love to try their Saag Paneer. I love this place! It's probably my favorite Indian restaurant. I had the shrimp tikka masala and it was so delicious! I got an 8 on the heat scale (1-10) so it was spicy but not inedible, it actually enhanced the flavors because I love spicy food! I also ordered the garlic naan which paired really well with my curry. You get 4 fresh pieces. I ate so much but I still had leftovers to take home. Great portion sizes! In addition, I had the sweet lassi and this was pretty good too! The customer service was excellent! Sidhu and the other worker did an excellent job with the timing, efficiency, and friendly customer service! The prices were good too! It was definitely enough for two people. The restaurant is casual but nice. You can take friends and family here and they'll be able to accommodate you. FYI: On the weekends they also have a buffet. Great India buffet! I very good variety of yummy food! There's always something different when I eat here. I like how they have mango lassi and chai for an option to drink. They have tiny cups for you to try it. Which is understandable. Service is pretty friendly. I definitely get super full with just the first plate. The noodles had no salt and tasted completely raw, and even one bite of the naan made me feel like vomiting. The last time I came to Curry Craft was probably within a couple years of the pandemic, but I remember it was a great location. Coming back again, and I can still stand by the fact they are one of my go to spots for Indian curry. Staff is friendly and helpful, restaurant is clean and spacious. Another perk, they are one of the few locations for late night food runs, open as late as midnight!! One of the biggest differences since coming here is they have a buffet option that was pretty reasonable buffet for lunch and dinner between $17-20/person with available add ons for beverage and naan choices. I was so excited to get my food I forgot to take a picture.... I ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan to go. The bowl of butter chicken was securely wrapped in Saran Wrap to keep everything safe, but be warned, the bowl is extremely hot!! Portions are great for the price and very filling. Solid Indian buffet price for lunch and dinner. When we came in I thought the service was a 2/5 because the heater was on during dinner time and it was so stuffy and the waiter seemed inattentive. She didn't really tell us where to sit or if we needed high chairs for our two girls. Within around 5 minutes though, the AC was on. The waiter checked on us and the buffet was solid. My husband said it was a 5/5. I give it a 4/5 for the menu selection and lack of direction or any dietary warnings (milk or any other ingredients used). Wow! I've been to a lot of Indian food buffets in my life, and I do believe this is my favorite! I had the Monday lunch buffet for a very reasonable $18 plus tax and tip. The place is very clean. The staff are polite and efficient. The buffet line is beautifully laid out and kept clean and stocked. They have both metal and porcelain plates, but unfortunately use styrofoam for their chai and paper bowls for the kheer. The salad is the best I've had, not the usual iceberg lettuce and a few cucumbers, but green lettuce and a variety of extras. They put a pitcher of water on your table so you don't run out. The food was all done perfectly. They bring out fresh garlic naan made to order. There was the usual Bollywood playing with commercials on the TV. read more

Came here because my regular Indian buffet is not open on Monday. I think I found my new regular Indian place. It's a bit of a drive from my house, but it's so good it's worth the drive. They don't have a huge selection of food, but whatever they have to offer, it's all delicious! I especially enjoy tandoori chicken. It's surprisingly tender. The server was attentive but not overbearing. He didn't hover but was always available when we needed him. The one thing that pushed it over for me was the chai masala. I've never been to an Indian buffet that included chai. I'm a sucker for chai masala. It was SOOOOOO good! I try to make it ay home myself but can get never get it right. My family have been going to curry craft in San Marcos since they opened and supported them all through Covid until now. We have always had good food in there until today. Have been here a handful of time during their lunch buffet and have always left happy. The price is very reasonable for all you can eat Indian food. They have a small "salad bar" section and then about 8 dishes to pick from for your main meal. They have had samosas, butter chicken, tiki masala, curry chicken, vegetable korma, dishes with mushrooms and peas, different kinds of rice. They also provide garlic or plain naan along with a tea. Instead of creating understanding and alignment on the situation we encountered, she was dismissive and hung up on me. It is unfortunate. The food is great and listening to customers would put this place on top. It's strike two for me in that the last time I picked up there the floors were greasy and sticky, as were the windows.
