Chicken was well seasoned and thoroughly cooked. Chewier noodles and it's a 5 star. Sweet and spicy sauce. Bourbon ChickenFood was hot and fresh- just a short wait. Seating outside is next to the parking lot, but it's shaded. Maybe bring a date or family, it has nice decor inside- more to it than it's outside strip mall appearance. This is a solid little place. I've only had one lunch meal here (massaman curry), but it was good. Now this wasnt the best Thai food I've had by any stretch but it is far from the worst. They did a very nice job on the presentation and the staff was friendly and helpful. The curry had good flavor and though I ordered the level 4 (their hottest) it seemed only warm to me. I've always liked their food, but today the service was awful and the waiter was disrespectful. We arrived with plenty of time to order at 8:15 pm. We ordered for two people, and it took them half an hour to bring our first dish, which was understandable because the place was crowded. But then we had to go to the counter to ask for the rest of our order because they hadn't brought it. After they served the food, the waiter came to our table several times, knocking the table with the receipt tray until we told him to stop. Wanted to try something out of my wife's comfort zone and decided on Thai food. Heard some good things about this establishment and decided to give it a shot. The wife played it safe with the chicken Pad Thai, level one heat. I tried the Bourbon Chicken, level two heat. Neither dish was spicy and they were both very good. We ordered 6 mini spring rolls he brought us out three, said he would correct it so we are what we had and then said he couldn't fix it because we had already eaten them. Really? We are them because he said he was bringing out 3 more. Then brought out chicken pad Thai when we asked for tofu (we are vegetarians) and then argues with us saying we ordered chicken, seriously? I've been to this restaurant on multiple occasions. Today was the worse service I've ever received! None of the employees worn name tags and the girl at the register (the tall girl with the nose ring) who also packaged the food was very rude!! When asked about speaking to the manager I was told they don't have one. I ask who I could speak to and was told the owner. then I was told she wasn't there. I asked when she would be available and was told I could call or check back at another time, but otherwise there was no way to contact her. I can say the food is definitely not the problem, however this group of staff were horrible!! I truly hope the owner will address this issue! It's less than two weeks that we've moved to Beavercreek and we've been to this restaurant twice already. We've had pad thai, pad see-ew, som-tum, their lunch special items, their dessert, and their boba drinks. We were pleased with all of our food items. It's tough to find authentic Thai food in America since many food items have been mainstreamed to appease the novice's pallets in the states. Tik's Thai Express surprised me by how real and true the flavors were so close to authenticity of Thai food if ordered in Thailand. Granted, having the crab-rangoon served with every dish and bourbon chicken on the menu is not so "Thai".. But, the pad thai, fried rice, etc., were as good as the ones I've had in Thailand, and I was there just several months ago. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I love to cook. So I'm usually the one cooking up a storm when I'm at my boyfriend's for the weekend. But this week, I had a really painful pinched nerve that made laying on the couch not moving more desirable than cooking. So dinner duty feel to the boy. Good call for him ordering from here! He ordered my favorite Tom Kha Gai and an order of Pad Thai. The soup was better than most I've had at other Thai restaurants and you could actually see the flecks of red chilies. It was really spicy (he requested that way so you can adjust to your tastes), but with a really complex combination of flavours that really brought out both the spiciness of the chilies with the coolness of the coconut milk. The Pad Thai was also excellent. Just the right amount of flavourings and again, a pleasant spiciness that wasn't overpowering but complementing to the ingredients. Big fam of this place. So far i have had the thai curry (yellow), drunken man noodles and pad thai. The pad thai and curry are by far the best entrees ive enjoyed. Both are delicious!! The drunken noodles were okay, not my favorite though. As far as spice level, 3 is not too spicy. I believe ill start getting a 4!! As for appetizers, the chicken wings are terrific. This left me wanting. I ordered take-out - chicken pad thai at medium heat. The medium heat was actually fairly mild and a little sweet - brown in color - which is more amercanized than traditional. Then got a call 30 mins later saying they couldn't bring it and I'd have to come up there to get a replacement. Honestly this is probably more like a 3.5 or 3.75. Everything tasted good. When you walk in, its not a big place, you place your order at the counter and then sit down and they bring you the food. the menu is basically posted on the wall and on the counter, but they do have a tiny folded one for pick up. They do not deliver. The hubby and i decided to try several dishes to see how we liked the place. We started out with the Tom Yum - the broth was good, but it isn't Tom Yum Goong, so don't look for any shrimp. They did put Chicken in it and honestly it was pretty good. We also had the Papaya Salad. They made it to the right spiciness that we wanted and didn't drown it in sauce, so another good dish. For our entree's we decided on Green Curry and the Drunken Noodles. Though I will say that the green curry was tasty, it still was a little on the sweet side for me - almost like it didn't have enough sour in it to balance it out. The drunken noodles though were divine! I could eat bowls of that stuff and be happy. That dish by itself absolutely 5 stars. The portion sizes I thought were generous and the price for me reasonable. My first experience with Thai food was a horrible one at Tik's Thai Express. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken for 10 dollars. I was told before going there that their potion sizes were pretty good, so I thought I would try it, and I liked bourbon chicken from the mall food court, so I thought it was my safest option. They have a rating scale for heat with 1 being the lowest, and 4 being the highest. I chose 1 because I didn't want to upset my stomach. My friend had ordered a 3 for his Pad Thai. God the food and I was disappointed with the size of the box that it came in. Noodles and all it couldn't have been more than a 4x6 container. For that price at another asian restaurant, that would have just been my entree, not including the side of rice or noodles. Got the food and found out the chicken dish was completely thigh meat. I was hoping for some white meat mixed into the fray, but alas, this was my second disappointment. My third disappointment was that they, I'm assuming, switch the heat factors for my meal and my friends, as his way bland and mine was "JESUS CHRIST!". Mind you this was on separate checks, so I would think that would be pretty difficult, but then again, not impossible. There is also the fact that they have a sign posted on their menuboard stating they WILL NOT refund your meal if its too hot, or the food is already cooked. So, basically once you hand them your money, you throw the bones and take your chances. So there is that. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Tik's Thai Express. I can get the same tasting food in more quantity, for half the price at the mall food court at the spice level I enjoy. read more

Worst ordering experience ever! I ordered the whole fried fish on grubhub. It came in this oily sauce. When I contacted Tik's I was told that this is the way they prepare the fish. I explained that no where on the menu does it discribe a sauce and if it did I would not have ordered it. They blamed it on grubhub and said there is nothing they could do about it and I am now out $54. I wouldn't order online with them again. If I could give no stars I would. My recommendation is to order somewhere else. read more

I'm a Thai and I can guarantee that this place is legit!. Ordered papaya salad and chicken basil. I've been craving papaya salad for almost 6 months and the papaya salad came out great. Went here today for dinner. I has the fish cakes and the crispy pad thai. For drinks I had Thai ice tea and ice water. The spicy peanut sauce that came with the fish cakes was pretty good however a little sweet. The pad tai was delicious. I am not one for crispy pad thai usually but this one was excellent. My waitress was very attentive and took care of my order. My water was always full and I was treated very well. Great experience at this place and would go again. read more

It was mediocre. I ended up spending $15 here for lunch... around $10 if I hadn't ordered an appetizer. I was a little surprised at the price, considering it was fast food, rather than a usual sit down restaurant meal. I ordered the pad-se-ew and the fresh mango rolls. The noodles were pretty oily and lacking the same flavor profiles I've experienced at Iyara... (my go-to restaurant in Huber.) For 7.95, I could probably order the same thing at Iyara and receive a much bigger and better made portion. The mango rolls were very good and contained very fresh ingredients. I appreciate the kind and polite man behind the cash register. The place is clean and the outside is decorated with many plants and flowers. I love it. :) I may try it again some time. My family and I recently had dinner at Tik's Thai Express and really enjoyed ourselves. I had the chicken basil, which is a dish I have eaten several times at other restaurants, in other town. Tik's version was wonderful! I ordered mine with 4 Stars, and it was really spicy, but not at the expense of flavor (aromatic and fresh)! My son had the massaman curry (he let me taste a singe bite of potato) - it, too was delicious, and because his plate came out last, he received an extra cream cheese rangoon! A little pricey for dinner, but the service takes this new little place from a three star up to four. I don't always want something spicy but when I do this level is about one score past my limit but the flavor is worth the spice. It was a flavor profile unlike many other types of curry I've had.
