I am a customer of Silver Creek and have been for about 18 months now. It's a great place, and I've taken several folks there to buy direct. Mostly, I'll have a contractor pick up for me, or I'll buy some bags cause it's easy (Bulk is way cheaper if you need a lot!) ... They will even tell you that! They are big on doing the RIGHT thing for their customers. They take a long-term attitude to doing good business. So, today is the first time I've scheduled them for a delivery. Let's just say there was an account/paperwork 'SNAFU', and when I did not hear from them by ~12:30 I thought I better call, as they close @ 1:00. Glad I did. They had set up another account, and it had an error in the number and e-mail. Bummer. It was close to closing time.... They could have said "sorry about that, we'll call on Monday". But here's the deal. They didn't. Irma worked to recall a driver and Josh stepped up to manage the process. When I let them know that I had scheduled a crew to come out Sunday early to spread the dirt, they jumped into action. The made things happen fast. This is a testament to how they handle service and support. I was a bit disappointed at first, cause the contractor I am using wanted/needed the extra work. It's the holidays, and $$$ is tight for everyone. But they solved that ASAP. Silver Creek Materials for the Win! Also; many thanks to Senor' Sigala of Sigla's Trucking for a PRO DELIVERY! Thank you to the quick action of Josh, Irma, the driver & loader, and the entire Silver Creek Crew. They pulled this off ASAP! If you've never looked at everything they do, and what they sell, it's a treat. Well, to me anyway. It's a cool place to go visit if you care about your yard/lawn, landscaping, or if you are a gardener. Especially if you are a gardener! They are the place to go. I can tell you that with certainty. They are the biggest/best in DFW, and they have what I believe is the absolute best soil for gardening. Bella Flora. LOVE LOVE LOVE Haliburton Salvage…read more This is one of our favorite places to go to find fabulous high end unique New Windows, New Doors, Architecture Salvage, construction materials/building materials etc., We have purchased so many things over the last few years for all 3 of our cottages. We purchased a New very large Window for the dining room/sitting room area of cottage #1 here. It lets in just the right amount of light & is perfect for sittin a chair next to it to read & view the Gorgeous rolling hills of North Texas wine country. Fabulous. We also purchased a New craftsman style Anderson solid OAK inside, aluminum outside window for the guest room of cottage #1 that is stunningly beautiful. My absolute favorite window I purchased here is the speciality giant 48x72 Horizontal sliding (side to side) "cottage style window" that was installed in the master suite of Cottage #1 (in front of the clawfoot tub) so you can view the sunset over rolling hills of the North Texas wine country from the bath in the evening. Just lovely. We even installed solid wood Horizontal sliding (side to side) "shutters" inside to close off the "cottage style window" for privacy. I custom made those. I also purchased 4 sets of 14 light French doors that went into cottage #1, 2 in cottage #2 and 4th set will go into cottage #3 we are just breaking ground on, so they will all match. We have found so many building materials here also that we have used. It's good to keep checking as inventory comes in all the time. If you are looking for a certain size window or door, you can call them to check to see they have it in stock. They also have a 2nd location, you can ask them to check that location as well if you do not mind driving there to pick it up. We custom build. And this is our #1 place we enjoy going. Highly highly recommend.

While the did have someone come out to repair, we're now left waiting for a response from Nix on who will complete the repair with caulk and paint needed. 0 stars for communication, several phone calls to Melissa, I've spoken to Charles as well. Still waiting on a response. I'll update this review if the company does what is right and rectifies our situation. Until then, I'd recommend finding a different company for your door needs. Nix is not recommended.
