We found this place on one of our winter ski trips up North. The first time was during Covid so we snuck in and got our rolls to eat in the car. Oh my goodness, these warm cinnamon rolls were beyond our expectations. Perfect about of cinnamon and icing in these and I highly suggest getting them warm or warming them up because it just adds a little something. This past year we hit it again and had a little Birthday treat for my son and ate inside. It's a small, cute, quaint space and the employees are very sweet. It's my once a year splurge now!

We stopped in yesterday before getting a cone next door at Moomers. The shop isn't open later in the afternoon so we purchased two delicious cinnamon rolls to go. We didn't know HOW delicious until we ate them this morning! 15 seconds in the microwave and we had a tender roll with just the right amount of cinnamon and icing. Some rolls are overdressed in my opinion - not this one. To be honest we could have split one but boy were we glad we didn't!

A friend recommended that we stop at Tilly's for cinnamon rolls and they were right!! This is a MUST STOP in Petoskey. Amazing cinnamon rolls, very friendly staff and dog friendly. The kids demolished the cinnamon rolls and the pecan cinnamon roll that my husband ordered was to die for! He ended up sharing with the kids!! So much frosting and a warm cinnamon roll fresh out of the oven. The dog treats were super cute...we will definitely be back.

This is a much stop! So clean and quite literally THE BEST cinnamon roll I've ever had. And I have had many. The dough is perfection, heavy enough, yet light & sweet. It's got the most amazing filling and it's not greasy. The cream cheese frosting to the perfect accompaniment with being too cloyingly sweet. I'm definitely getting more to bring home. You will not be disappointed. Plenty of places offer cinnamon rolls but this place is the only one that should. So good! Nothing else can hold a candle to this place. Go. Now. Drop what you're doing & go have the best cinnamon roll ever.

Light, fluffy frosting. Good balance of cinnamon to dough. Extremely kind and welcoming staff. They also sell gourmet dog treats.

Man, these were great, until they partnered with the manufacturer. Now they are hard, small, and more expensive.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to visit until near the end of the day and at that point they had sold out of most of their items, including the famous pepper parmesan rolls. They still had a few items left and we decided to pick up two of them. Kouign Amann ($4.95) - The caramelization of the sugar on this pastry is on point. The bottom has a layer of sugar that has melted into a glaze with extreme caramelization, almost on the verge of being burnt. If it had been left in the oven for a few moments more, it would probably have started to develop an acrid taste. Luckily, it was pulled out at just the right time. Even the sides of this pastry have been graced with sweetness and a top layer of thicker sugar crystals/grains adds an amazing crunch. While the kouign amann may not have as many thin laminated layers as a croissant, there is still an excellent buttery interior which helps balance the outside sweetness. The interior is fluffy and layered well into an even honey comb pattern. This kouign amann exceeded my expectations. (5/5) 3:00 O'clock Baguette ($5.90) - Yikes, this is by far the most expensive baguette I've ever bought. I was kind of dreading it when I first felt the baguette through the bag - it seemed a bit soft and limpy. When I tore into it soon afterwards, I found my concerns to be somewhat unfounded. By somewhat I mean that yes, there is hardly a crust on the baguette, but the interior still exhibits a nice chew and the flavor is very well developed. It's a decent baguette, but nothing outstanding. Perhaps the crust would be better earlier in the day when fresh baked? (4/5) I was definitely surprised by the quality of the baked goods at Crooked Tree Breadworks. I'll have to revisit earlier in the day on my next visit to the area so I can try more of their breads and pastries.

They use locally sourced ingredients where they can and always seem to have a lively, fun, yet relaxed atmosphere of locals and seasonal guests either stopping by for an excellent cop of coffee & a treat or maybe lingering for a while enjoy a breakfast treat or sandwich and while hopping onto the Internet to check of email via their Wi-Fi network. Highly recommended & we love supporting locally owned & operated businesses & this one is definitely worth supporting!
