I was very excited when I found this place and looked at the menu. The food is fresh and good but you definitely want to look carefully at the menu and it's description The pizza used some funky cheese,so my husband wasn't a fan His burger didn't hit the spot, the cheese struck again The pita plate was delicious This is a great place just didn't suit are taste on this visit

We love this place! We come everytime we visit Petoskey. Such a gem. Its small and cozy and everything is made from scratch and with love. We had the steak benedict, greek frittata, lattes and a mimosa. Oh and we took some scones to go! The apple cinnamon scone was the best I have ever tasted.

Great service, great food! Will definitely be going back and recommend!!! I loved the use of goat cheese on the slider, definitely elevated it and the potato's with the garlic sauce were devoured. Yum!

We have been waiting patiently for Sam's to reopen in Petoskey since closing in Harbor Springs earlier this year. They have amazing breakfast and such good wood-fired pizza. Right now they're takeout only but we are anxiously awaiting being back inside.

This restaurant was good, but the menu is very small. I would take a look at it ahead of time and make sure that there's something on it that you're interested in! However, all of the food is made in-house and is very tasty. We all noticed that the pizzas were a little salty, but the soup of the day (vegetable minestrone) was good.

I recently stopped in on July 4th and picked up a dozen red, white and blue decorated cookies to bring to a friend's house that was entertaining. I found some with fireworks decorations and some with smiley faces. Needless to say, they were well received by the hostess and the guests enjoyed them. Even on a busy holiday morning, there were delicious looking donuts and baked goods, and the aroma brought back all kinds of emotions from my childhood too. Johan's is old school but that never goes out of style. Service was not the friendliest but it was not bad. You order at the counter and pay and you're out... easy peasy. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Johan's for a tasty pastry (or two) and cup of coffee!

THE. MOST. DELICIOUS. PASTRIES. EVER…read more On our roadtrip, we stopped at the Crooked Tree looking for a local coffee shop. What greeted us was the most delightful case of pastries and loaves of breads. This is a bakery with no seating. Looks to be a large operation that might deliver breads and baked goods locally. There is a bread case, a pastry case, and lots of merch. A very patient young lady was working the counter on the morning we stopped. It took me a while to decide because I wanted one of everything, but had no business doing that! She patiently and quietly waited. Finally, I settled on a ham and cheese croissant and a cherry and white chocolate scone. My husband had a raspberry danish. I did get a drip coffee in the end. The ham and cheese croissant was crisp and flaky with the perfect balance of hame and gruyere. I have not had a scone this good. Ever. Not even in Ireland! If you "do not like scones," these are worth the try! We snacked on the pastries in the car so along with Lake Michigan sand, my car now has lots of flakes of our delicious pastries. Like sand, it's impossible not to leave remnants of the goodness behind. Tip: if you are not local, buy more than you need!! I wish I had.
