We were easily seated outside at 9:30am Friday morning. Side street parking was $0.50 an hour. Our waitress was attentive and polite. The black coffee was solid and the yaiyai bfast was perfect to split for 2 to finish completely. It would have been a little pricey otherwise. The sausage was very tasty - we overheard they are homemade patties. I'd come back! The restaurant got much busier around 10am, so get into town early to beat the crowds. read more

Walked in with a cup. Waiter rudely told me to put it in one of their cups. I said no thank you. A waitress told me they have their own espresso machine. Ok but I didn't have espresso. Came in to sit with a friend. I told them there was no sign on the door saying no outside drinks allowed. Called to speak to one of the owners and was told it was too busy to do so. We love this place! We come everytime we visit Petoskey. Such a gem. Its small and cozy and everything is made from scratch and with love. Came for breakfast and was very disappointed. The pricing is out of whack. 2 eggs toast meat and average hash browns for $19. Give me a break. The eggs were just eggs - hash browns that are touted as homemade are no different than anyplace else. This place is way over priced. $100 for four of us to have bacon and eggs is outrageous. Charging extra for a dollop of jam at these prices is insulting. Petosky has gotten too big for its britches with places like this. read more

This restaurant was good, but the menu is very small. I would take a look at it ahead of time and make sure that there's something on it that you're interested in! Great spot in Petoskey for brunch! My mom got the eggs Benedict and I got the mushroom frittata- both very tasty and quality ingredients. They have classic menu items, but I would have loved to see a more fun dish or two on their list. I like my breakfast to be savory but I don't mind adding a sweet treat to the order too. If they had a homemade banana bread or even a homemade pop-tart that would have been the icing on the cake for me! read more

Ordered a Margherita pizza. What a disappointment cracker type crust, dry hardly any cheese. It was terrible. For a place that advertised pizzas it was disgusting. Would never go back. Amy is an owner and a very efficient server with no ego involved and let's face it if the folks serving the food were schmucks who'd wanna go back? (I don't care how great the food is if the person serving has an attitude ) Oh yeah... the food! Their home baked lemon blueberry scones ... the salmon Benedict was superb! Stopped in for a late lunch. Staff was attentive while making final preps for closing down. The beet salad was absolutely delicious along with 2 red pizza varieties. We've been customers of Sam's Graces Cafe since their days in Harbor Springs. Today we were served sliders with beef patties that were extremely overcooked and inedible. We suggested to our server that they might've been overcooked and were told that the owner replied they can't control the temperature of thin patties and declined to take it off the bill. And our server didn't seem too bothered by serving us something we couldn't eat. Too bad. We won't be back. read more
