We went for happy hour Thursday and the food was surprisingly amazing! HH: Mini Caesar is delish- a mix of kale with the greens and perfect amount of dressing and yummy bread crumbs The chicken quesadilla was four big pieces with great flavor! Creamy spicy shredded chicken and crisp tortilla. - it was a little too spicy for my kids but the adults loved it! Entrees: chicken tenders - four huge pieces of chicken with a great dry seasoning mix - a little sweet and spicy mixture that was delicious Crush burger- the crush sauce is like a thousand island. This burger is so good! Juicy smash patties with a great sauce and fixins. The fries were cooked perfectly crisp and seasoned well. I would order everything again! The service was great! We sat outside and enjoyed sunset over the golf course and the server was prompt, kind, friendly and attentive! I would recommend this to anyone read more

Decided to go here since I've been to many of the local golf courses. I've been living in this chandler area for over 20 years. The golf course is beautiful ill just saw that. The food not so much. I ordered the "CRISPY" Fried duck, Sweet and spicy Flatbread and nachos. After waiting well over an hour after ordering we got the duck and nachos. Both were cold. The cheese was coagulated on the nachos, not edible and the "crispy" duck was soggy and fatty. The first 3 words on the description on duck says crispy fried duck wings. It was none of this. The food was a total failure . The Flatbread finally came out and looked like the kitchen made some effort making it and was delivered hot. The other two items, duck and nachos were sub par for even a dive bar restaurant. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and I was relaxing, enjoying my Sunday but when you have to wait over an hour for food and then it comes to you cold and nasty it doesn't make you want to eat that food or return here. I had high hopes for this place since its beautiful and close but doubt I will be back. read more

Ok...first and foremost this is an awesome spot for lunch or early dinner or HH. A great patio...one of the best overlooking the greenery with a flowing stream and waterfall. The service is super. The bad: it is the single worst Cuban sandwich on earth!! They use leftover breakfast bacon as a replacement for the ham! After tossing the burnt crisp reheated bacon, it was a decent sandwich, but not a Cuban. It also lacked pickles and mustard..one small pickle and a brush of mustard. Plus they had skunky beer! Guessing no one drinks that particular beer. Will go back and try again because the patios is so awesome. But no Cuban!! They need to fix that immediately!! read more

One of the best places I've been too in a while! The food is superb. The crush burger is my personal favorite at the moment but I'm sure there's other awesome items on the menu. Disappointed with both the service and food on this visit for a Sunday brunch with family. We have been here before, the last time being five years ago. It was not nearly as good as it was the last time. We came for my grandparents anniversary at 9:30am on a Sunday, there was a total of 9 of us, including 2 children. We were seated immediately, but we had a reservation and the place was almost completely empty, except for one other family. To start, my coffee cup was dirty, which I discovered after the waitress left. After waiting for 10 minutes for her to return, I saw her standing at the bar chatting, and a few other cups at our table needed refills, so I got up and walked over to the bar and gave her the dirty cup, asked for another one, and advised others at our table needed refills. She brought me a new cup that was also dirty. I finally received a clean cup the 3rd time. I ordered an omelette, which came with breakfast potatoes. I opted for a short stack of pancakes on the side. Both the omelette and pancakes were over cooked. The omelette was quite small. The potatoes were undercooked and bland. My sister commented to me that her food was cold when it came out. The servers were pleasant and friendly, but inexperienced. The food was very poor. The only positive was the decor and cleanliness of the table, which had a few arrangements of fresh flowers. read more

I'm sad to admit the Ocotillo Grille is subpar in the hospitality business. We went twice -wanted to love it the grounds are beautiful. On arrival you have no idea how to get served or seated to eat or drink. One time it was about 2pm and the other time it was about 11:30. We also golfed the day we arrived at 11:30. We do like the golf shop staff. In the Grille area everyone is "too busy" no one acknowledges your presence nor welcomes you in. The management needs to retrain. It would have been huge to have had a food runner or a waitress point us to a table or hand us a menu. When we asked "we are wondering what's best for you - should we order from the bar and sit down or can you help us?" It appeared this was below her and the reply was something like "whatever you want". But not in a welcoming way at all. Good luck to management trying to make this place welcoming and a place one would like to eat or drink. read more

I had a different experience at Ocotillo Grille than the previous reviewers. I came for a work lunch on a Friday afternoon and we all had a lovely meal. We had a reservation for 7 people and our table was ready when we arrived. We were immediately offered drinks. A few minutes later, our waitress came by to take our order, and our food came out within 10 minutes. I'd say about 30% of the tables inside were filled, so it wasn't completely dead. Our group ordered some French dip sandwiches, some buffalo chicken wraps, a burger, and a hot dog. I personally got the French dip with onion rings and I thought it was pretty solid. The bread was just a hot dog bun and the cheese could've been better distributed and melted more, but the meat was cooked well. The onion rings were fine, the onion was cooked to the point where I couldn't really distinguish it from the batter but I don't like raw onions, so I was okay with it. However, I snagged some of my coworkers' fries and those were awesome. I'd definitely get those over the onion rings next time. The guy who got the hot dog also reacted positively towards his meal, but the chicken wrap and burger guys were a little more lukewarm. Next time we travel out to the area, I wouldn't be upset if we went here for lunch again. I'd suggest grabbing a table outside so we can enjoy the nice view as well! read more

Went for lunch. First sandwich ordered they were out of. Then ordered a burger. They had that but no fires or onion rings. Just small bags of chips. Ok with chips. Server comes back and says we are out of those chips. Service wasn't much better than lack of food. read more

Came for lunch on Friday before Easter. Specials were carne asada. The only meat free options were a strawberry salad with no protein, but they also had no strawberries(???), and fried fish tacos or fish & chips. A quick look at the lunch menu should speak for itself-this place belongs next to Walmart, not on a high-end golf course. My water glass wasn't even filled once-it sat empty for 90% of our visit but the waitress never returned after she took our order until we flagged her down for the bill. I wouldn't even give it 1 star but you have to for the sake of a rating. I called ahead to ask if we could reserve a table for 8. The lady on the other line said they didn't have 8 tops. I suggested they pull two four tops together so she said she would do that for me. We got there and that hadn't been done. Our server was terrible. It took absolutely forever to get drinks and then food. When we did get our food (almost an hour wait and not even busy) it came out in waves. 4 of us got our food first. 10 minutes later, 3 more got their meals and then 10 minutes after that, the last meal came out. We didn't receive everything we ordered. No one ever refilled our drinks even after we asked. We complained multiple times but the response was simply "I'm sorry". We weren't even given a discount. Just awful. We will never go back. Ashamed too because it's a beautiful property and close to our home. read more
