Hubby & I had dinner here last night. looking at my last review, we had most of the same food. Hubby got his favorite draft beer & I got Tito's & cranberry juice. Both were good. We ordered the cheese curds to share. Hubby got the breaded tenderloin sandwich & added pepper jack cheese with onion rings. I got the fish sandwich no tomato with tater tots. Hubby loved his sandwich. He also liked his onion rings. My sandwich was good. The tarter tots were not hot & the weren't very crispy. We both brought home half our food. We had it for lunch today & it was good. The reason for only 4 stars instead of 5 this time is they need to replace the seat in the booth. I had to move way in to avoid the worn out spot. There was a clear dip in the seat. Service started out great, but towards the end our server was bartending & a server, so it took awhile to get to go boxes & pay the check. read more

I didn't expect much out of this place, but boy was I wrong. I ordered the honey bbq boneless wings and I can't emphasize enough how delicious they are. These boneless wings have a nice thin breading and you can taste how fresh the chicken is. I was raving to the waitress about how delicious my food was. She informed me they are made fresh to order. Luck's will remind you of an American traditional diner. Lucky lou'swas a great experience. The vibe was Americana all the way The had clean restroom and well taken care of. We came here after hitting the golf range. We sat outside because it was a nice day. Service was good. We started with the pierogi appetizer and it was very good. It had great flavor. My son got the chicken tenders kids meal and everything was good. My wife got the smash burger and she said it had good flavor and it was a good size. She got the potato salad as a side and enjoyed that as well. I got the Diablo chicken and it was fabulous. Great flavors and I enjoyed the pasta salad as a side. Our first time here was a 5/5. The lunch menu was full of options. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a house salad and my companion had the California chicken wrap with a house salad. Both meals were delicious. The music was great and there were TV's all over with sports. So I could imagine this being a fabulous place to watch a game. They had 16 beers on tap a very full bar selection. We will absolutely be back. There were several things off the menu I still want to try. Our server was really nice and she was promptly here to take our drink order after we sat down. We got our food pretty quickly considering the crowd. Give this place a try. Wings - Yummy, meaty, good flavor on the option I selected (Honey BBQ). I loved the option they offer to pay a little extra and have all drummies or all flats for $1.99. Limited Happy Hour menu items but they do offer discount on select beverages. I had the Bourbon peach Specialty Cocktail that came served in a pint glass. $11 Brittany was our server this evening and she was great. Prompt, knowledgeable, offered recommendations, and was familiar with menu items and prices. The surroundings are much like the usual sports bar. Lots of tvs playing various games, the occasional loud customer(s) cheering or objecting to a call, and a fairly steady flow of incoming business. Pretty good place to have a bite to eat. read more

Had fried pickles for an app and they were good. This location has big glasses so you didn't need to ask for a refill a lot. I had chicken tenders and fries they were good but a little too greasy. This location wasn't too loud but there was an old lady staring at me weirdly! But she was probably drunk. So I understand. The bathrooms were a bit dirty. Wings were soggy with no flavor , mozzarella sticks hardly any flavor and had a plastic like texture to them. I think this is a spot where old people can go and avoid seasoning. TLDR, good food, slow service. When we first arrived, we saw the sign that said to grab a menu and grab a table-no host to seat parties. No big deal, we were able to snag a corner table immediately and the bar tender noticed us and came to get our drink orders right away. We were off to a good start. Our drinks were delivered quickly with a promise to come back to get our orders. It took a good 20 minutes for anyone to return, although several staff members walked by. We tried to get their attention, but it was so loud and they seemed to be trained in eye contact aversion, so we struck out. Eventually, the bar tender returned to take our order. I understand that he's busy-it would be nice if the wait staff and the bar staff were not the same person, but that's not how it rolls here, I guess. By the time we did get our food, we were both hangry and pretty annoyed at the loud environment with drunken football game watchers. There were several parties here to watch the various games on the plethora of TV screens. The food was pretty good-I had a salad and chili, while my wife had a cheeseburger and fries. The chili packs a punch-it was really spicy and cleared my sinuses a bit! I'd happily eat that again. Overall, if you're here with friends (as it seemed most everyone else was) this is a fun place to grab some drinks and hang out. 2/10/24: Great food, excellent service, tidy inside, plenty of parking. Lucky Lou's has the holy grail of dining experiences. :-) We had two servers (whose names I can't remember because it was last month & I failed to take a picture of the receipt). One focused on our drinks / refills, the other our food. Both guys were friendly & kept checking up on us. The cheeseburger wrap was really good. I was nervous because, a wrap?, but it was tasty and didn't fall apart in my hands. The 1000 Island dressing was a nice touch. Both the fried pickles & zucchini were not overly breaded, but were lightly friend and very hot. The zucchini sliced could have been a bit thicker in my opinion, but that's just me being nit picky. Lucky Lou's American Grill was a go-to when my work team wanted to go out for a team-building lunch or dinner. The food is good, basically what you would expect from an American Grill! I will say that their sweet potato fries are quite tasty and they are the perfect amount of crispy. I usually get their BBQ burger with onion rings, it's pretty tasty! The staff is friendly, but sometimes a little slow. They do a good enough job of keeping drinks filled. The bartenders seemed depressed, The female bartender was having an argument with her boyfriend who was sitting next to me at the bar. One of my favorite salads. I do sub avocado for the tomatoes because I don't enjoy the way the tomatoes are cut. But that's a personal preference. Huge portion size and tasty ranch. Lucky Lou's is one of those solid, neighborhood, strip mall, sports bars. The food is good and reasonably priced. Knowledgeable staff and maybe a dozen beers on tap. Lots of TVs to watch games and a fair amount of regulars gathered arrive to watch those games. A close friend is a regular at this place, so I am not sure if she would want me rave about it so more people would come in or downplay it to make sure there is still a seat when she goes there. This last trip to Lucky Lou's was disappointing, not so much for the lack luster food but the less than lack luster service that we recived reinforced my opinion that if you are a regular of Lucky Lou's you are sure to receive top flight service. But if you are not on the list then you are treated like an outsider who is tolerated at best. Can't recommend Lucky Lou's to you any more folks, sorry. Went for a family dinner to Lucky Lou's. This was our first time there. The restaurant is not big inside. There is outdoor seating, and you seat yourself. There are only two tables to accommodate big parties. We were a party of 8. We did have to wait a bit, but as soon as one of the big tables opened up, the table got cleaned right away. The menu has many options, which was great because our party had a few picky eaters. I ordered the lemon chicken. It was delicious. I loved the balance between the sauce and capers. I ordered a Cesar salad and mashed potatoes as my sides. The salad was good, but the potatoes were a little bland. I did have to add some salt to the potatoes. My boyfriend got the steak on a stick dinner. He let me try the steak, and for me, the steak was too salty. It did take quite a long time to get our food. Even though the food took a while, I still enjoyed the experience. I will definitely be returning to try some other items. read more

Generally I like this place. Service is usually on point with people stopping by anytime a drink seems low to offer to get another one. I also like happy hour. However I hate their booths. They seem wobbly and you can feel every time the strangers seated at the booth behind you move, even slightly shift their weight. It makes for a very unpleasant experience, especially if a wiggly child is sitting behind you. I've actually left when those were the only seats available. The food is good depending on what you order. The burgers, wings and whaler fish sandwich are all great as is their side salad, and fried pickles. The walleye Friday special which I had fried was soaked in oil though. It hurt so badly after I started eating because it was so oily. I thought it would be okay because I had the fried fish sandwich before. Also a friend ordered the Friday walleye special blackened two weeks later and the portion was at least half the size of my fried one. It was the same special just cooked different so I was really surprised. I would also recommend staying away from the pork sandwich. It was very gristly. I also had the pastrami (or Ruben, I forget which they have on their menu) and had to literally saw with my teeth back and forth to cut through the meat. It was hard work and not an enjoyable sandwich. Had I been alone, I likely would have sent it back but I was with a group and didn't want to be the problem. Probably one of the worst I've had and it's usually a go to order for me most places. I'm still looking for my go to menu item to order here. As I mentioned they do burgers and wing well but that's not always what I want. I've been 7-8 times this year which is a lot for me because the service is great. read more

The atmosphere is great, I love both the Chandler and Mesa location for different reasons. The Chandler one has a real bar vibe while the Mesa location is much more diner-esque. Some friends took me here. They raved about the place so I had pretty high expectations. The place was busy but we didn't have to wait for a table which was great. They recommended the meatloaf which apparently was a special of the place so that's what I ordered. I was mostly disappointed. It was dry and had little flavor. Fries I recommend to get extra crispy. Burger is very good. I've had two burger buns that were fresh and truly makes the burger a good burger. One time the bun wasn't fresh. So send your bun back if it's flaky. If I spend more then $1 for a burger. I want a fresh bun. Beer prices are a knockout. Best reason to frequent here. I almost dislike writing a 4 star review with all the pros because it is already collecting a crowd on the weekend that makes this place busy and makes us want to get there to grab a table. Fish and chips were excellent but fish portion was surprisingly small for $14 bucks. With that said Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were good quantity sides. We appreciate that extra details.
