I brought My Daughter here to choose out a pair of Mary Jane's for school. Let me tell you since the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. It was pure professionalism with a smile with a mountain of the best Customer Service you could ever hope for both of the employees working here a woman with tattooed, arms, and a gentleman with tattooed arms. I forgot to get their names, but it was a Sunday morning. August 9th. They helped My Daughter find the correct fit, and the right shoes that she wanted. He took so much time and care to speak with her so nicely and courteously and professional. They asked her questions and they gave her advice to figure out what the best fit for her was they listen to us we had conversation and let me tell you they truly knew their craft. They were more than excellent at their job. I was so thankful that we chose to come here and we had the privileged opportunity to meet these two they were great. They treated us like human beings. Let me tell you anyone else comes here to get some Doc Martens your luck I've dealt with lots of people trying to get some shoes or something else and other people wouldn't even make eye contact these people treated us like friends, human beings, and valued customers and I highly appreciate it. I highly recommend anyone of any age men women children you want some docs come here they will help you out for a father like myself to bring my daughter who I love very much to see her treated so well someone should just take their time and be patient with My Daughter who is a little bit shy got me choked up so it meant a lot to me to come here and be treated so well we came for one pair of docs and left with two pairs of docs .I learned some things while I was here too. I bought some new docs today, love them. I've been wanting some for quite some time now but have been overwhelmed with the array of excellent choices. Jolee and Taylor were so helpful in assisting me and have so much insight on each and every shoe. They were able to answer all my questions easily and did so in such a friendly and informative manner. I didn't expect purchasing what was just "another pair of shoes" to be such a unique and great experience! It felt very casual yet high end. When you first walk in they do ask if you need help but will give you the time and space you need to decide, and if you're ready to ask for help they'll definitely help you. I never felt like I was being upsold too and they were not overbearing by any means. Taylor noticed I was getting overwhelmed and took the initiative to grab the shoes I was already eyeing for me to try on! That was very thoughtful. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Had us waiting OUTSIDE so we could do a return. The worker would not let us inside to do that because we were 1 day past the exchange window. He called in his manager and she said they could not process the return and that there was nothing they could do to help us. I asked the outside worker if I could speak to the manager so we could do an exchange if return was not a possibility, but the manager refused to talk to us. We were told they could do nothing and we were stuck with $200 boots that didnt fit. I went to the retail store in fashion island and SURE ENOUGH they COULD process an exchange. The employees and customer service is 100% better in fashion island and they dont have you waiting outside the store for no reason. read more

I have always loved Dr. Martens since I was a teenager, so it really makes me happy how accessible these stores have become nowadays! I came here with my fiancé on Nov 17 with really no intention of buying any shoes, but rather trying some on! Allie greeted us at the door and had us wait a bit so the store would clear up and we'd have a great shopping experience. While waiting, she chatted us up a bit and was super kind-- made the 5ish minutes we waited go by like nothing! We then were greeted in store by Zack, Macy, and Leilani. All three of them were absolutely fantastic, they answered any questions we had and showed us a bunch of different shoes! I came in with the intention of trying on some Sinclairs and had no idea they came in a chunkier shoe! Macy was quick to bring out the Sinclair Max and it was love at first sight. Were a bit apprehensive because of the price, but she told us about their student discounts and we got an awesome deal with it! It's also wildly convenient that they offer Klarna/Afterpay since that was the route we ended up going. Zack and Macy were both so patient while we figured out how to use the app and helped us along the way. I walked out with a pair on Sinclair Maxes and have no regrets about the purchase at all!! Terrible customer service. It was pouring rain outside and they made us wait even though there were less than 5 people in the store. We were standing in the rain with two babies. Then proceeded to tell us they don't take any returns or exchanges for boots we bought online. 10/10 customer service . I had gotten some docs for my birthday and had some trouble with the return/exchange because I was having trouble deciding what size fit best. Tried going to the Cerritos location and they said they couldn't do anything for me. I was frustrated and sad I'd be stuck with the wrong size because they said they were "worn" when I literally had just got them the night before and hadn't even worn them, I only tried them on and decided to exchange them the next day as soon as I could. I didn't want to be an annoying customer, but I also wanted to be able to wear the shoes I bought. So we called the Irvine location and they said to come into the store and that they could help. I pulled the plug and got my first pair of Doc Martens. Tell me why my eyes went to the most expensive pair in the store T.T Anyway, all the workers here are so nice and helpful. They got me the sizes, gave me recommendations, and helped me find what I needed/wanted. If they get too crowded inside, they have a line outside. There are plenty of seats inside to try on shoes. I'm not sure about how extensive their inventory is compared to ordering online. I do know that you get 15% off if you order online though. This location is inside Irvine Spectrum across from Honey & Butter. I would say it's closer to Dave & Buster. read more

Went here today to return a pair of shoes that my boyfriend bought for his brother and were bought on the 3/28. Considering today 4/5 and his brother left three days ago back to school. The manager Amanda was very dismissive and condescending the entire time and immediately said they were worn and they're creased and when we said we would go back to Brea she said they would not sell us a shoe like this but literally they were brand new and tried on inside for sizing. They make you wait since they say they need an employee for each guest which I don't think is true since most employees seem to be doing anything but helping the customers. Let me start by saying we love Doc Marten shoes... and we buy 500.00+ worth of stuff every year from THIS location! So my feelings were a bit hurt by how almost comically rude the manager was... here's what happened We walked up around 7:30pm on Friday night 5/17/24... there was one person waiting out side but store was almost empty (4 customers inside, we counted and she confirmed the number) ...I thought maybe they were closed, "are you open?" She replied "ya, we have a wait due to capacity" ...I asked "for four people?!" .. I asked because I had seen many more in the store almost always, she responded "yes it's gonna be like 15 minutes" at this point the other people standing at the door left, she then said "you don't have to wait there's a website" (in a very condescending voice) ... I was taken aback, I asked "what's your name" she responded "we don't give out our names" she then informed me she was the manager... the whole thing was crazy, she was aggressively rude in both attitude and response, my kid was like "what was that?!!" So we left... as I said we spend a fair amount of money at that store and probably won't be back, sadly we always had great service there, but the whole one bad apple thing is rough... read more

One of our favorite stores at the Irvine Spectrum. The employees are always super nice and helpful and the store has a good variety of product. If you are looking for something and they do not have it in store they will help you find it whether at another near by store or online. The store is a bit small so they do limit the amount of people that are allowed in the store at one time so sometimes there can be a rather long line but it is worth it. I prefer looking in store for items as opposed to ordering online. This allows me to see the product and actually know if it is what I want or not. There have been times I have walked in knowing I wanted a specific pair of shoes and walked out with a completely different pair of boots because what I went in for wasn't what it looked like online. Again, the staff here is awesome and will help you find the right size and shoe or boot. read more

I went in yesterday July 11 at around 6:30ish. ( Inside Spectrum Location) As soon as I came in this girl at the register shouted closed the door, which I did, but was rude for her to scream all the way from there. She had long dark hair- half ponytail. Then as I'm taking out the shoes because I was going to try another one, she said extremely loudly " was anything wrong with them, WAS IT THE PRICE?.... Doc Martins the timeless item that never goes out of style over the decades. It was a beautiful moment when coming to this store to but my niece her first pair. Having 2 generations buying the same items and passing the torch to the next was special. Thank you to the manager who helped ever so patiently with a teen who was indecisive but then allowed her to make her final choice without rushing her. She loves her new shoes, and low key I'm super happy that she chose the classic pair that her mom and aunt used to wear. These shoes are not cheap, but an investment that is worth it to me. They had them in stock and set them aside for me to come purchase. When I got to the store, there was a short line. The girls working the door were super sweet and spoke of the styles that they loved. When I made it in to the store, i sanitized my hands and noticed there were only two other customers which was nice and felt safe. Eric was next to help me. He found my docs put on hold for me and asked if I'd like to try them on before I purchased them. He opened the box for me and allowed me to grab my docs directly instead of him touching them. It's unfortunate that the reviews for this store doesn't justify. Went here with my fiancé to check out som docs (I was getting them as a gift). Never owned a pair. Online the reviews were confusing for the pair I was being gifted so had to go in store and this was the closest store. Some people said to size up some said to size down. I'm a 5 in shoes, can't really size down unless I go to children's. They were efficient with so is distancing. The store is small so limited amount of customers at a time. They allowed for try on and for any questions. I tried the Jadon Smooth on and they were perfect at a 5. I had enough room for thicker socks as well. Even during crazy weekend traffic she was so thorough, attentive, and patient with her help. I was admittedly intimidated about the breaking in process for the Jadons I purchased (my feet are in between sizes and noticeably different, and everything else about them makes shoe buying more difficult), but her thoughtful recommendations and advice not only had me feeling more confident in the pair I purchased but also way more comfortable, too.
