I liked this location better than Mission Valley. More merchandise and space is bigger. Staff are helpful and offers assistance when they see you. Big selections of merchandise. Store is clean, they have safety signs for reminders on social distancing, wearing mask etc. Fitting room is non operational at the moment due to COVID-19. read more

Worst customer service. I tried to return discounted items and was told that they could not be returned, neither could store credit be issued because they were "clearance". My only option was to an exchange right then and there. The stores policy clearly states that clearance items end in .97 but none of my items on my receipt were .97. Jasmine the manager acted like she could not hear me speaking to the associate and when she finally came over after I asked to speak to her multiple times, she repeated the same bullshit. She said she could not override the system...which is untrue as I've had the same exact transaction done at this store in the past. Called customer service and they issued a full return and waived return shipping fees on top of it. This store is so worthless don't waste your time. read more

Usually I have a good experience here but just yesterday I came in to get a gift for my dad and felt really out of place. Told the person helping me that I would like to look at the sunglasses. She showed me to the display but before doing so told me "just so you know, we don't have a lot of cheaper options." I don't know if it was meant badly but I think it is a rude comment to make as it is suggesting that I cannot afford the high end brands. She asked me my budget and when I told her how high, then she continued to show me. Then spoke to her mic that she's helping a customer at the sunglasses. I suppose that's because they get commission. It was just a very strange experience and again I don't know if she meant it badly, but I think all customers should just be shown their options without assumptions about someone's budget. read more

Came here cause I needed shoes for work. It was a dead hour like 11am. I only saw two people working and they were at the registers. Literally walked in, and one of the employees waved and said hi to me from the register, didn't bother to ask if I needed help or anything. I was greeted by Jacob who was extremely helpful and gave me some direction of where I should start. I was in a rush for a photoshoot and grabbed a couple pieces of clothing and then bolted. Came back an hour later for a size exchange, couldn't find my size, and had to return it all. I could not find anything to get for my body type. Yet, I did see an "I Heart Boobies" shirt that I liked and considered purchasing in support of my friends who do the Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk. I am appalled at my experience here at this location and hope the that Tilly's Corporate or this Store's General Manager offers additional Loss Prevention training for their employees. I went in recently as I needed to exchange a Christmas gift that was too big. It was a shoe, that I had already exchanged once before, but unbeknownst to me Adidas runs big and the first exchange was still too big, so I went in again. This store has their 'back stock' of shoes on the main floor for anyone to access (just not the ladders) so since I knew what I was looking for and where to go, I decided I could help myself and be quick about it. In tow were MY shoes to exchange in a recycle bag... all was well. A nice young man came up to me after I grabbed a new shoe to try on, and asked if I needed help. I advised him I was doing an exchange and while I found a new shoe to try on I would appreciate if he could help find the same one in a different color. He offered me to sit down while he looked. A moment later another employee, who it turns out to be an Assistant Manager, walked up to me and said she could help me put the shoes back. I told her I was fine as I just sat down and I wanted to try the new shoe on I just grabbed and didn't want it to go back. Instead, she insisted on helping me put MY item in MY recycle bag back onto rack as she saw me put it in my bag. I let her know she was mistaken, as it was MY item but she insisted she witnessed me steal the product and had it on video and she could pull up the footage. I asked her to please pull up the footage because the only thing she would find was me grabbing a new shoe to try on and NOT steal anything. That she'll also find footage of me entering the store with this bag with MY shoes, and I have a receipt for MY item. After threatening me with the video footage, she declined to show me the footage and after a heated back and forth, she finally asked for my receipt. I pulled the receipt from inside MY shoebox, in MY recycle bag and after she saw I had proof of purchase and was telling the truth she started to apologize. (So obviously she didn't see me steal anything). The damage was already done, and I have left feedback with corporate and will be following up with them next week. No one was there when I entered the store, so I can understand concerns since they didn't see me enter with the bag. There was a moment when I was by myself when I looked into my bag to confirm the name of the shoe I was exchanging, so maybe she saw that and associated it with theft. Had someone politely asked for a receipt initially, I would have happily showed them. Additionally, I wasn't attempting to leave the store like actual thieves do... I sat down with MY shoes visibly in MY bag (I wasn't hiding anything) as I was trying on a new pair. And I had already explained to another staff member that I was doing an exchange. After everything was said and done, and she was apologizing I asked her to please just leave me alone. I quickly tried on the new shoe, and went ahead to do the exchange. Unfortunately, she was also the only one at the register so I had to locate a different staff member to process my exchange. Since there were other patrons waiting in line to pay, I asked that they were assisted before I was. While my exchange was being processed, she came back up to me to apologize again and advised that the store experienced multiple thefts recently so they were on high alert. I told her that wasn't my problem, and asked her to leave me alone again because I didn't want to hear it. This is not how customer shopping experiences should be. I have worked retail before, and how it was handled by staff goes against all training I have ever received. I am furious because I was being accused of a stealing, which is a misdemeanor, and honestly it's just a crappy thing to be accused of. It was Friday, my day off, and it ruined the rest of my day. While I haven't shopped at Tilly's since I was a teenager, you can guarantee that I won't ever shop there again. I will be sure to let my friends and family know about my experience there, and hope that they will decide to also shop elsewhere. read more

Took over the location of Pier 1 Imports recently and I think it's a great fit to the shopping center over a store that specialized in home decor. Just like any other Tilly's they sell clothing for Juniors and they have a large variety of apparel. read more

Jacob went above and beyond the call of duty to help my mom surprise me with a gift. He was so kind helping her on the phone and to me when I came in today to pick up. Jess was also a pleasure during my in store experience and very helpful even though I was having trouble deciding on some shoes. They both made my quick trip in today pleasant and enjoyable, even though I was in a hurry. Grateful for nice people like them during such a difficult time with Covid. She is very good at building rapport with her customers which is an awesome way to establish a loyal customer base. This store....customer service is horrible. Don't try to return something. 2 different people will check the receipt and look at you like you're trying to RIP them off. . They didn't want to take back a small item I bought. The checker called the manager over who tried to say they wouldn't take a return on an item I bought that didn't work. Overpriced for what you get. Return policy is not in line with competition. My daughter got two pairs of jeans for Christmas that she had not worn and decided she wasn't going to wear. It had been over 30 days, so I didn't necessarily expect a refund, but when I asked for store credit, the manager said no, because "the computer won't accept it". I asked him if he was willing to do this for us since he was the manager (and I am sure he can override the computer. He said no again. I told my daughter I am not shopping at Tilly's again. This is my daughters favorite store and every time we come in, we are greeted and asked several times if we need any help. Everyone is so kind and friendly that a 5 star review is a must!! I love the fact they have a girls section so my 12 year old daughter can stay in her own little section and not try to wear clothing that isn't for a young lady. The store is clean and every clothing item is in the appropriate order. It's so wonderful when your looking for sizes. They even had a sale on shirts for her two for $12 which we took advantage of. My boys and I have been frequenting this place lately. Tilly's carry lots of variety of hip clothing for teenagers. Most of their stock sell out fast, but their salespeople are always glad to call other Tilly's locations for a product you need. TIP: Parking at this location is always a challenge. read more

I walked in the store knowing that I wanted a chino style black shorts and I thought Tillys would have that. I walked in and only found dickys loose shorts that didn't fit me great. I am not very good at looking thoroughly through the store and couldn't find what I wanted. But then, as soon as I was about to walk out that door forever, I felt a comforting vibe behind me and it was an employee that said "I'll help you" and he introduced himself as Christian Alexander Alvarenga. I knew at that moment, he was the help I've been looking for my whole life. He found me these great royal crown black chino shorts that were exactly what I was looking for. I bought them that day and wear them all the time. Without Christian Alexander Alvarenga, my legs would be too hot on the hot dawning of the crisp July summer days and wouldn't be exposed to display the true complexity of my ankes. Went in only to window shop after eating at Gen BBQ with friends. Immediately greeted by a few team members. Found 2 pair of cheap shoes on sale but one missing my size. One of the gal went to check in the back, none in stock but was able to order online with free shipping, which I got in 3 days. The gal was super chill, even smelled KBBQ on me and made conversations. Tall guy at register was super friendly, built rapport and strike up a good convo and made me feel at ease, pretty great experience, great customer service. read more

Had sometime before my movie so I thought I'd do a little shopping. I signed up for their emails & wanted to use the 20%. Most the apparel were hippy style & even flannel; like back in the 90s. There was one rack of Roxy clothes and some cute hats I was perusing. But mostly teenager clothes, I basically fit in a large there..I'm okay with that! Mostly came for some bandeau bras; which were really comfortable. They have wide selection of jewelry, sandals, backpacks & sunglasses. Hubby just bought himself a pair there. Tonight I decided to write a review because I was so impressed with a high-school girl working here named Sydney. She was so bright, cheery and knowledgeable about the products, was able to help us find proper sizes, seemed so professional for her age but also fit right in for the store and industry. I like to give credit to people when it is due, esp when they are starting their careers so young. Super impressed & obviously I will continue to shop here for my kid:). read more

It's really organized here and their customer service is great. They don't really have a public bathroom but if you ask, they'll let you in the employee bathroom no hesitation. I never been to a Tillys this big as well so there's a lot more selections! I'm just surprised how clean it is. The workers here are nice. At the behest of my younger brother who implored me to start updating my wardrobe I found Tilly's to be a rather big change from the norm. When I say change from the norm it really goes against my personal fashion sensibilities. I ended up with a pair of RSQ slim straight jean that were on sale and I must say I like the fit of them. I figured out that this must be the place where all of my students get those ridiculous shaped rubber band things and the I Heart Boobies wristbands. So within the past week I've went into this Tilly's twice to check out some clothing and to do a little shopping. Right as i start looking around associates start asking if i need help finding anything, which i really appreciated. Today I had entered the store five minutes before closing time and when i entered knowing they were closing i turned around to proceed out the door and the manager, I'm assuming stopped me and said not to worry and to take my time if i wanted to look around. So i did and ended up buying two shirts. The brands they carry there are the things i usually wear on an everyday bases and that's why i like coming here. I'm not really a picky person on the prices of the clothing because a lot of the places you'll go will maybe be the same price give or take a little. read more

Tilly's is definitely for a younger crowd but still there for us 20 sometimes who want short shorts or a girly muscle tee and they have started to sell rainbow sandals which is a great plus. Overall they don't seem to have a huge selection but their clothing does seem to change often with the season and just as new shipments come in. Because of it's location there isn't really an excuse to not come in and browse; you never know if you'll find something and it's a great place to kill time while waiting for a movie! read more

Huge store = large selection for men, women and kids... However most items are overpriced for mens. T-shirts are $19-23. Jeans can get up to $65. They always have staff walking around to check in on you and ask if you want to try anything on. The nice girl helping me was Taylor. But at the point of sale was where they dropped the ball! -5-6 People deep line and 1 teller -they all have these walkie talkie's attached to their ears- but I eventually had to ask them to open another cashier. Gotta kill an hour of time before the movie starts so I ask my friends, "Whats a Tilly? Lets go there!". My friends laughed and said sure, why not. Honestly, I didnt want to walk to Barnes & Noble since I would be tempted to get some Starbucks (cutt'n back on the caffeine..) Anyways, we walk in and immediately see a clearance sign above the shoes that says to take an additional 30% Off on top of clearance prices. First thing I go to are the Vans and DC Shoes. My friend and I spot some black/blue Vans so we end up getting the same pair (ohh how cute, we match....lol). Then I spot the DC Boat Shoes also known as DC Club. I've wanted these for so long but whenever Ive gone to a store to get them, they never have my size. Low and behold, the biggest size they had was 11. Since these are normally $55, the opportunity to get them at $26 made me think I can fit into size 11..... Nope! LOL!!! I ask the sales rep near by if they had any more in the back and he said whatever is out is all they had left and walked away...... He could've at least sounded more sincere but whatevs. Time to check out. I bring up my Vans and it seemed like the lady helping me was the Manager since she had no name badge like everyone else and she had a bunch of keys and big walkie-talkie headset thing.... She rings up my Vans, $22 after tax! Huge score!!!!!! As excited as I was, I was still a bit bitter about the DC's and mentioned that its too bad the DC's I wanted werent in my size. So she asks "I can check our warehouse and see if we have any left. If we do, I can have it shipped to your house and waive the shipping fee....". Hell yeah! With excitement I ask her to please check and I hand her my card assuming they have some left... And they do! Now I have a pair of DC Club Shoes on the way, next day delivery, to my house! And did I mention they were only $26!?!?! Thank you Tilly's Manager for going the extra mile! read more

Now this place is not as busy as other locations, so the staff are very helpful in finding things and asking what you might be looking for. It a convenience when you can come in and shop without all the crowds and people. The staff are very helpful, making sure you know the deals and specials.
