I tried their Art of Almost sandwich which is avocado and brie with a sweet spicy mustard -- you can choose 3 extra toppings as well. It was absolutely divine! This was a signature sandwich, so it came to $12 but you can get the half sandwich for $6.50. Their non-signature sandwiches are $10.50 for a full one and $5.75 for a half one. They also make their bread in-house which I thought was pretty fantastic. I'll be back for sure to buy their bread!

They were ready a few minutes later, so we took our food out to an available bench and began eating. These are some seriously terrific subs. I started with the 1830 and it pretty much blew me away right from the first bite. The super tender (and plentiful) meat is enhanced by the other components, and honestly I'd be happy eating that sandwich every day for the rest of my life. The Sunny-Lea fares just as well and really does taste like Thanksgiving in sandwich form. Really, really phenomenal. I haven't had the chance to dine in the cafe yet, mostly because it gets extremely busy, especially on weekends. That said, the bakery/store has so many great finds. Their bread is excellent quality and a great value for the size, at around $5 for a small loaf and $8 for a larger one. My favorite is the olive rosemary sourdough, which is absolutely delicious. The saucisson sec is another great local find. The baked goods offer a nice rotating variety, with everything from Québec maple chômeurs to Italian maritozzi. On my last visit, I tried the Vietnamese coffee panna cotta, which was excellent. There's also an large gluten-free selection, ranging from breads to fresh-baked goods. The gluten-free scones are a particular standout. Beyond the food, Pan Chancho also has a great selection of kitchen and pantry-related items, including spices, pasta, sauces, hand towels, reusable bags, and more. It's the kind of place where you can go in for a loaf of bread and easily leave with a whole bag of interesting little things. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in downtown Kingston!
