If you haven't made your way to Jersey Mike's in Deer Park yet, consider this your official…read moreinvitation. Let me start with the bread, because it deserves its own moment. Baked fresh in the store throughout the day, it's the kind of bread that makes you realize you've been settling. Soft, slightly chewy, with just enough structure to hold everything together. The cold cuts are sliced to order -- not pre-packaged, not pre-portioned, not sitting in a tray since Tuesday morning. My personal go-to is the Turkey and Provolone, built Mike's Way: lettuce, tomato, onion, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, and salt. It's simple, it's fresh, and it's exactly right. For something a little different, the California Chicken Cheese Steak is a must-try. And if you're a tuna fan, their Tuna is the real deal. I can't write this review without mentioning the BLT. The bacon is cooked perfectly -- warm, crispy, and impossibly satisfying alongside cold lettuce, ripe tomato, and a generous smear of mayo. My advice? Pair it with a bag of Original Lay's and a Pure Leaf lemon tea. You'll thank me later. The store itself is spotless -- genuinely, consistently clean -- and the staff is the kind of friendly that feels real, not rehearsed. They move fast without making you feel rushed. Pro tip: Order through the app when you're 10-15 minutes out and your sandwich will be waiting for you. We're talking in-and-out in under two minutes. Whether you're grabbing lunch for home, packing for the beach, or hunting down a quick bite before life gets busy again -- this is your spot. Two thumbs up. No hesitation.

Never had Jersey mikes until I moved to Long Island and wow! The closest thing we had in the city…read moreto Jersey Mikes was Subway and Subway is super trash. What I really love and appreciate about Jersey Mikes, is all the cold cuts are fresh cold cuts and not processed cold cuts like Subway. They have a great selection of condiments you can add to your sandwich to make it phenomenal. I ordered the number 4 and the sandwich came with Provolone, prosciuttini and cappacuolo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pepper relish, oil, pepper, and vinegar. I paid 20 dollar for the sandwich but it's well worth it. Sandwich is cut into 4 slices and it's the size of a whole Italian loaf of bread. They offer the regular size for 7 dollars but I they offer a larger option where it's pretty much 2 sandwiches. Overall I'm obsessed with Jersey Mikes and this is my new spot for sandwiches. Definitely not the best, but great for when I want a good sandwich and don't want a travel far.

Stopped by the Deer Park outlets again this weekend and was hungry afterwards, This panera location…read moreis right by it! The location is spacious and clean which, I loved. It was easy to pick the seat you wanted! The service was also great, I had requested a specific bread which they ended up not having, but I was called over and was able to pick another one. I got a beverage for the inconvenience! The food itself was great and what usually is expected from Panera. I was cold so of course I went with some soup. I enjoyed this location and would come back.

Last month, Panera Bread in North Babylon closed down and relocated to Deer Park. This location…read morehas a drive through. The other one did not. The bakery's oven and bakers are in plain view, unlike the North Babylon location. You will see the bakers kneading and rolling dough, applying glazings and then placing the bread and pastries in the oven. You will also see three ordering kiosks, where you can input your rewards ID number. Rapid pick up is available if you order online. There are also plenty of caffeine warning labels on beverage dispensers. Head's Up: Panera Bread's charged lemonade is LOADED with caffeine. The FDA is now investigating the death of a college student who recently died after drinking some. The interior of the place is clean and has a vibrant decor. Like The Cheesecake Factory, Panera Bread is somewhere that I would recommend for a meet and greet but not a first date. The parking lot of this Panera Bread location is more spacious than the previous one; and the drive thru has two aisles, each of which is big enough to fit a pick up truck. I highly recommend Panera Bread's Deer Park location. I give it five big stars up!

If you think you've had great gelato, Caffe Italia will make you question everything you thought…read moreyou knew. The man behind the magic is Mike, the owner -- and he is the real deal. Born in Italy and trained by the best, making gelato isn't his job, it's his calling. You can taste that distinction in every single bite. Mike is constantly developing new recipes, hand-picking fresh fruit at the market, and importing specialty ingredients straight from Italy when he can't find what meets his standards locally. This is a man who simply refuses to cut corners. My family and I have been loyal customers for nearly 8 years, and what's remarkable is that it's just as mind-blowing today as it was the very first time we walked through the door. That kind of consistency is rare -- and it speaks volumes. Over the years, we've brought roughly 40 friends and family members here for the first time. Every single one of them has raved about it. That's not a coincidence. That's excellence. If you're visiting for the first time, do yourself a favor: try the rainbow cookie gelato. You can thank me later. And while many people get it to go, I suggest having it there. The shop is tastefully decorated, it's clean, it's comfortable. For fifteen minutes you'll think you're in Italy. Caffe Italia isn't just the best gelato in the county -- it may very well be the best you'll ever have. Don't walk. Run.
