Boston can be an issue. This performance was at 2:00 Sunday. This was the NH Philharmonic Orchestra which just moved to this center. I live in Haverhill so it's a a hop, skip, and a jump. The theme for the music was Russian Moods. Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 and Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade (1,001 Arabian Nights) you will have to look that up on Wikipedia. If you like Classical or even if you want to hear some very good music and pick up some similar popular music give these a try. In May they are playing Bernstein on Broadway.

This place haunts me; it has that authentic feel where one is afraid to utter the "M" word if only to respect the generations of actors who've tread there before you. The dressing/green rooms are spacious and re-done with hardwood floors, plenty of mirror space for a cast of 20-ish, and a whole back hallway with bathrooms that's shared with an art gallery. The backstage is small (as it always is), but they've re-done the stage manager's space, installed a beautiful new green velvet curtain and made the balcony usable again. A new soundboard, good headphones, a supportive theatre staff that loves this place and a passionate community makes putting on a production here a dream. A beautiful historic house that's been beautifully restored, and an honor to perform here.

I recently visited because the movie that I wanted to see was not available at my preferred movie theater. My selected seat had some leftover popcorn and the floor in front of my seat was not very clean. It was a weekend visit and there were many people watching movies but the bathrooms were not very clean and had overflowing trash. The good part was that the movie we watched was good.
