It's a great, casual spot for grabbing a bite if you are staying at the Tenaya lodge. They typically are open Fri-Sat. They have a selection of appetizers, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and drinks. The service is fast and very friendly. I ordered the veggie pizza which was mediocre for the price. The crust was okay but the sauce could use some flavor. Really a 3.5 star review. If you're considering going to the Timberloft, then you're likely a specific subset of customer. 1. You're staying at the Tenaya, and 2. you're looking for something easy to eat nearby. The Timberloft will accomplish both of those things. It's cheaper than Tenaya's on-site sit-down restaurants and isn't that far to get to. Located at the cottages next door, it's walkable from the main lodge and you can call your order in ahead of time. The dining area at Timberloft has seating space and a salad bar, looks like a Shakeys inside. Remember - The pizza itself is not cheap by non-resort standards and it isn't the best ever. But it tastes fine considering where you are and doesn't taste as bad as what some other reviews have place it at. Kids will eat it. read more

The sauce doesn't really taste like anything, and the pineapple on the pizza is the oddest pineapple I've ever tasted - it's dry and almost seems like dehydrated pineapple that astronauts would have with them. If I owned this Pizzeria, I would throw away every single ingredient they use for their pizzas and start over from scratch. This is a self-serve pizza shop. You order at the counter, and they will deliver it to your table. The table was dirty from previous customers, but the place was empty. Salads are pre-packaged and you get it yourself from a cold bar. Plate ware is paper and plastic. The pizza came out fairly quickly. It was warmed through and the cheese was melted, but the pizza was not hot. The crust was just slightly toasted on the bottom. It was an edible but rather flavorless pizza. The $10 salad (see picture) was also edible and everything in the salad was fresh. The $12 glass of wine was decent, the same selection as the lodge. We got the small pizza. The total came in just around $50. It was not as good as any slice you'd buy in any neighborhood place in Jersey or New York. It wasn't as good as any major chain. One of the workers were begging someone to go wear an apron and come help since they were going really slow. The guy actually declined to work and it truly shows that working here has no culture. We didn't want to drive 20 minutes to Oakhurst to find something else to eat. I ordered from my room at the lodge a large pepperoni pizza, and was able to go pick it up about 20 minutes later. The parking situation was confusion, so I would recommend parking at the bottom and walking up to the entrance. When I entered, it was warm, clean, and busy. They had a big room in the back with some video games, and I wished I had brought my family to eat there! We got 2 of the salad bar options to go, and packed our containers for only $7. It was a deal! They had romaine and mixed lettuce, along with about 15 different toppings and 5 salad dressings. I'm pretty picky with salad bars and was happy with it, and so was my husband. The pizza was more of a thin crust, but we liked it! My family of 4 was happy with the whole meal. We'll definitely go back next time! read more
