One of the best stops on your way in or out of Yosemite. The food is fresh and filling and the service is spectacular! I love the diner style interior and the salsa bar. It feels complete and I LOVED their aguachile here!!! Spicy, zesty, chilled, and generous with the onions and cucumbers and avocado. It took longer to come out for sure, but when I tasted how fresh it was, it totally made sense. Each bite was humongous since I needed each component to make it perfect and I am so glad they gave enough toppings to complete each bite. AVOCADO IS NEEDED FOR SURE, the creaminess calmed down the spice and it was just delectable. It was so spicy that I had some stomach pain after, but the shrimp was also definitely basically completely raw as well. Take that as you will but every shrimp was perfectly deveined and this aguachile was a 1000/10. Thank you to the cooks and cashiers here! All super nice. We asked for more tostadas and they gave it to us free of charge. When the cashier told the cook, he was like "IS IT DELICIOUS" and we shouted across the restaurant that IT IS SUPER DELICIOUS. We were driving from Yosemite to home and decided to stop for dinner. There was adequate parking, place was almost full when we walked in. They have an extensive menu. We had a bit of wait for our food but definitely worth it! Flavor was on-point. Ingredients not skimped on. Everything tasted authentic and just reminds me of a really good taco truck that you happen to just pass by, you end up eating there and it just becomes your new favorite stop whenever you're in the area. Interior is not whole in the wall as there are nice booths and tables available and large enough for a large group or family whilst visiting near by Bass Lake or Yosemite! their menu is Taqueria style... I wasn't thrilled with the food quality at Los Dos Carnales. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the place seemed clean and well-run. However the food itself just didn't quite do it for me. We got a few tacos and a super burrito to split. The tacos were okay: the pastor was the best one, but the chicken taco had a strange tomato sauce that didn't quite work. The super burrito was also disappointing, with somewhat bland carnitas, and onions that just didn't quite taste right. Based on our experience I'm not sure I can recommend it. read more

This place is a rude joke!! These guys think it is okay to speak about the clientele as if they are not even there! The staff were speaking loudly amongst themselves so the entire restaurant could hear (in Spanish of course) about the customers, they also were making crude remarks and comments!! Well, not such a wise thing to do when you have Spanish speaking people dining! A total disgrace!! To top it off, ordered the fried fish off the menu and it came out completely scorched!! We just got back from a long day of exploring the park and were famished. Our air bnb host recommended Los 2 Carnales so we thought we'd give it a try. There was a menu board and we ordered at the register. So far so good. Our food, a chili relleno plate and an enchilada plate, were delivered in about 5 minutes - enough time to fill our drinks and to visit the salsa bar. My chili relleno was extremely, no, beyond extremely, disappointing. The pepper wasn't seeded and every bite left me with a mouthful of seeds. I tried my best to eat it but after less than a handful of bites, I just couldn't take the seeds anymore. My husband ordered the enchilada plate with a variety of fillings - steak, al pastor, chicken and cheese. His enchiladas came with a "salad" - a pile of chopped lettuce and tomatoes heaped on top of the enchiladas. He ate some of it but had to dig through it to get to the enchiladas. The enchiladas themselves were fine. Both dinners came with refried beans (looked and tasted like they just came from a can) and flavorless rice. Neither of us ate more than a couple of bites of each. We also ordered a side of guac. While the flavor was ok, it was runny. I originally gave Los 2 Carnales three stars but after rereading this review, I think 2 stars is more than generous. Will I go back? Absolutely not. Should you? It's up to you but I don't recommend it. read more

I don't know if the 8 hour hike made this place extra delicious or what, but it definitely satisfied my voracious hunger after exploring Yosemite! We ordered the 4 taco combo - 2 lengua, 1 cabeza, and 1 carnita. They were all so delicious, but my personal favorite was the carnitas!! We also got a lengua burrito which we also devoured and saved the other half for the next day. Their sauce bar was great, and their soda options were standard along with some tea and juice options. I was definitely surprised to have good Mexican food all the way up in Oakhurst, please give this place a try if you're looking for good eats after a long day. read more

We were in town for a night and in the morning my husband was craving a good breakfast burrito and found this place on Yelp and it looked promising. We always like to check out the local spots and this place didn't disappoint. Like another reviewer mentioned the tint on the windows makes the place look closed but it's not so come on in the side door. The group ahead of us ordered a bunch of burritos to go and I asked if the whole menu was available since it was only around 9:30am and was told yes. Great news since I'm not much of a breakfast fan. I got one of the super burritos and hubby got a breakfast one, we also got a super burrito with a different meat choice to take with us for later. OMG the burritos are HUGE and I was only able to eat half and they gave me some foil to wrap up the rest to go. The staff was super friendly and the meat was so flavorful. The burrito was hot and fresh and so glad we decided to eat in to enjoy it fully. Great place for some good Mexican food while in town or coming through.
