First time at The Timbers and will definitely eat here again. Everyone was very pleasant and our server Kayla was excellent! We started with the homemade fried mushrooms, split the Oak Barrel pork tenderloin accompanied by vegetables and the loaded potato. We also split the cherry salad with chicken. Everything tasted amazing and the presentation was nicely done. The chef was kind enough to split our plates for us too! We ordered too much food so Kayla set us up with to-go boxes, a cup for our drink and peanut butter pie for dessert later. Highly recommend! read more

What took me so long to try The Timbers??? That is what I was asking myself after our first visit. We own property just south of Lake Mitchell and are up in the area all fall hunting and camping. I drove past this place forever always noting that it had a lot of cars and saying "I need to try that place sometime" Should have looked at Yelp sooner....this has become our "Go To" place when we want MEAT! Prime Rib, Steaks, Ribs, Pork Chops...all very good. Not cheap, not crazy expensive. Large portions. If you want MEAT in a casual "up north" atmosphere and are near Cadillac go here. It can be busy...but that is because it is popular because people that have actually tried it know it is good. Wish I had tried it sooner LOL read more

We have never have eaten here and we r leaving pleasantly surprised. Decor is woodsy and cozy with a sparkly black ceiling. Our waitress was very knowledgeable if the menu. And was happy to give me suggestions when I asked what they were famous for. The bleu cheese topped blackened pork tenderloin was superb with a little kick. I had the chicken Parmesan as recommended. The chicken was nice size and had a good amout of melty Mozzarella. Served with linguini and crushed tomato sauce. I have had better sauces but still above average. We split the Caesar salad and that was plenty. Served with warm bread. Would have liked real butter instead of the buttery spread. Very nice experience. read more

Have tried this restaurant sevel times over the past 2 years. The service has ALWAYS been extremly slow and inattentive. For instance, during this trip we were never asked if we would like an additional drink. In addition the table was not cleared between the appetizers and main course. Everyone at our table of 4, had different entres. No one enjoyed the food. I ordered the "traditional" because the waitress told me it was made from scratch. The cheese ravioli was ok but tastelh. The homemade meatballs were absolutely terrible. They were extremely overcooked. The outside was literally rock hard and the interior was dry as a bone. We were recommended this restaurant from Tracey at the Cadillac Winery (also a must visit if you are in the area). We went and it was awesome! It is a very unassuming restaurant from the outside. I was very disappointed with our meal on 10/26. I have been eating there for many years and have noticed a steady decline in their meals in their meals over the past few years. My fish meal last Friday was $15.99. It was not all you can eat . That may not sound like much, however for Northern MI it is. In addition, the 3 piece portion was very small. The vegetables were cool and uncooked. Apparently the cook and serve staff are asleep at the wheel. I think I will be taking a hiatus from the Timbers for a period of time. Its pricey. Was kinda dirty but I am guessing it was because they so busy. The bartender here is great...she accidently brought me the wrong drink and made mine free if charge. Friendly staff...and the food was off the charts good. I don't eat processed meat but they had a good selection of food and veg and fish dishes. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for good service and a variety of food. read more

Have been to eat lunch or dinner at Timbers 3 or 4 times now and have had great food every time, seafood dip with pita and chip combo is awesome, mushroom pesto pasta perfectly hit the spot, best pork chops I've had in a long time, and the best part is the pizza, dough is superb, you'll realize all of the subpar pizza crust you've had before when you try their pizza. My brother and I enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere is laid back classy country style... I had he special of walleye with creamy dill sauce and crab. It was good but I got the last serving of it and I had very little of the sauce. So little that it was on two bites. The green beans were delightful. They tasted like fresh picked green beans! I haven't had beans that fresh since childhood! My brother had chicken with mushrooms and cheese with a loaded baked potato. He really enjoyed his potato. The service was quite friendly. My husband and I went here for our 20th anniversary dinner. We were very surprised!!! The atmosphere is quite and cute lodge style. The menu is very reasonable and lots of choices. My husband had a grilled chicken breast with, avocado, bacon and blue cheese. It was so juicy and not something you would expect from looking at the outside of the restaurant. After a long day on the slopes this place was awesome. We ordered the chop burger and the oak barrel pork. Both dishes were amazing. The pork was cooked to perfection. Melted in my mouth. Our waitress was super sweet and quick and the place itself was neat and tidy.
