It was our first time here. The staff was super friendly and prompt with service. The food has changed from what other yelpers posted. They must have a new owner. Some of the dishes from what people on yelp posted were no longer available/ off the menu. The seasoning on the kabobs were not good. It left a weird gritty taste in my mouth. I have had better Ramen like tiger den in Houston where we live. The noodles were over cooked and the broth did not have good flavor. The fountains drinks tasted flat to me and my family. We ordered a buy-one-get-one Sechuan chicken and it was nasty. The chicken in it was full of hard-to-chew chicken parts that were absolutely disgusting. I was feeling hungry after a day of work. Got out at 11 so there wasn't much open. This place is open until 2am on Saturday so I figured I'd try it out. It was the worst experience of my life. I ordered ramen, pork buns, and steamed buns. The guy taking my order whispers and is very unenthusiastic while talking to you. He apparently told me that they were out of pork buns, but I never heard him so I sat waiting for them. I got my ramen and it had 2 VERY thin slivers of pork belly in it, and barely any noodles. I waited half an hour for my steamed buns, and had to remind them that I ordered them in order to get it. They had 4 people in house and I was the only customer and they couldn't remember my one of two items ordered that they had in stock? I was still hungry so I ordered another order of steamed buns. They came out in 5 mins and half of them were nearly ice cold. Eating here felt like getting served by a frat house due to how the employees just would stand around and even stand still for 5+ minutes just watching the TV and talking. The atmosphere is terrible. It's like if I let a random 15 year old anime fan decorate their own bedroom. Very cheap anime posters on the walls and tacky decor all around. The least they could do is try to commission a mural or something. Their "traditional" seats are milk crates with cushions and a low table. Don't even get me started on what they charged me. Reeeeeeaaaaalllly wanted to like this place, BUT! I just didn't. I went with my boys, and they liked it well enough. I'm not crazy for fried food, but I will venture out for Asian cuisine because typically it's a lighter fry. This was just disappointing. Appetizer dumplings only came fried. Very fried and crispy, not just pan seared. There was maybe Mayo drizzled on the dumplings?? It wasn't terrible, but it was weird. I ordered a bento, and every part of it was greasy. Even the "steamed" vegetables. The kitchen probably fried everything at a low temp and so it was just oil-soaked. My sons ramen was sour and miso flavored even though we ordered the soy sauce flavor. He was content with it, but it's definitely not what I ordered. Plating was nice and the one man at the counter was friendly. He wasn't able to answer many questions though. Restaurant is clean. I ordered on their website. The bento box was supposed to have included California roll pieces but when I opened the bag at home I saw that dumplings had been substituted without telling me. The rice, sauce, and takoyaki were bland. The grilled chicken was all thigh pieces that seemed to have a huge chunk of tendon in each one. I think I spit 1/3 of it back out. read more

The issue: I ordered via Uber and to take advantage of the 40 pct off, order has to exceed 25 dollars. Your own deal offer was BOGO for the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, obviously it's 14.99 on Uber Eats app so two orders of BOGO would equate to 4 total bowls, or am I mistaken? Bag was tied up and I didn't realize it until 3 am when I was about to eat the second bowl watching my favorite anime, I was like hey didnt I get two BOGOS, so where's the second two bowls? How I know I'm correct, let me answer that - I got two empty broth containers is why, bone dry empty. Now oversights happen, you have great food so I'm sure are very very popular so mistakes happen and Uber Eats customer service was spot on in rectifying the mishap. Was I upset, for sure, but wasn't about to label 1 or 2 stars and give sub par review that most assuredly your food and business doesn't reflect. But at the same time I can't give you a 4 or 5 rating on the app or here because A) to me this is an isolated incident, but is it truly? If I could give it less I would. Most flavorless bowl of $25 ramen I have ever had. Would not recommend this place at all. Service was average. Took fifteen minutes to bring out the food. No one else in the restaurant so not sure why it took so long to come out with this $0.50 meal. Ambience is different. You order from a machine and doesn't give you much room to customize. I first aaw this place on IG and thought it looked delicious! However, when we got there, the place looked different than what was depicted on social media. My friends and I ordered two different types of ramen, curry beef and sashimi. I think this place has potential but definitely needs to change their salt and grease levels. Everything we got expt the sashimi was extremely salty and greasy. I grew up eating authentic Japanese ramen so when I got my ramen and the oil was sitting on top, I was a bit not happy about it. The flavor of the broth was good but it could be hotter, it was lukewarm. The noodles of the ramen was good but the chasu (tonkatsu) pork was extremely salty. I barely ate it. Normally the chasu pork is not salted but this ramen was definitely over salted. The curry beef also was extremely salty and greast and barely any curry. Its more like curry flavored covered in cheese and grease. I barely touched it. Sashimi was aiite. I mean, it's Texas. I don't expect any sushi places to have fresh sushi. That's just the way it is! Service was meh... could be better! I do think this place has a potential but needs to change some of their recipes and menu items. I can see this place catering more to non-asians perhaps. Went to this new opened restaurant because of course I saw it on Tik Tok! I was sold at "sushi". The location was a little far, but from the video I saw this place looked worth it. You walk in and order food court style and seat yourself. I figured it's was tons of people since just opening however, we were able to get in and out despite the crowd. The options but I decided on the American Dream Roll and Gyoza. Both were delicious and tasted fresh. Everything came out quickly and the service was nice and friendly. We chose this spot to spend our last night with my fiance and daughter before her and I fly back out of state. Loved that it was open to 12am perfect for convience. The decor was nice to look at, everything was self serve and you order at the counter. Service was dull, they didnt seem enthusiastic. She just stared at us and when asked for certain foods or drinks we were told they only had chicken and no teas. We werent told that we had to grab our own utensils either or where to find them. Had to look around and I was hesitant to grab them since they seemed to be behind the counter. My fiance also mentioned how the manager kept staring at our table the entire time there. Now onto the food, we gave the benefit of the doubt that the state we are from is more asian populated. Therefore we have had authentic asian(in this case Japanese and korean) food multiple times. This food was not good at all. We ordered the most popular dishes. The tonkatsu ramen was pretty bland, we've had better at costco. The pork belly that came with it was surprisingly dry considering it was in a soup. The egg that came with it tasted like the store bought hard boiled eggs in the bag. Unlike the usually soft-boiled marinated eggs in ramen. The only good thing about it was the noodles. The dumplings we recieved as an appetizer were okay, the bao buns had this sauce that completely overpowered the meat in a bad way. It tasted like bitter, thick, salty soy sauce, which says a lot considering I enjoy salty foods. I ordered the fried chicken bento box, but was given a chicken katsu? I dont know if thats their version of fried chicken, but its literally just chicken katsu with no sauce, very dry. The rice was hard and tasted like it was sitting on the counter for an hour. The three dumplings that came with the bento box was literally still frozen in the middle. As if they put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and served it. I took one bite and felt sick as soon as i forced myself to swallow it. Once again, it was our last night together and I felt bad my fiance wasted money on a meal like this. Great restaurant that deserves more attention. The food was wonderful and inexpensive, a perfect place to stop by for lunch as you can order whole bentos, and a lot of other options on the menu to choose from. It is a more casual restaurant, offering Japanese and Chinese options. The teas were delicious as well, food came out quickly, hot, and packed with flavor. I usually go to JY Ramen on Babcock but decided to try this place out because it's right next to my work. First off the broth is delicious and is very flavorful. The noodles and chicken themselves were bland for my liking. That aside the ingredients tasted fresh. I gave my opinions on the noodles and chicken but I say give them a try because your taste buds might differ to mine and you might actually enjoy them. I would say definitely give this place a try. When I went with my friends, they weren't serving sushi that day, so that was a bummer, because I was really eager to try it. However I did get the Bulgogi ($13.99) and it was really delicious and filling! I couldn't even finish it all. It had a sweet sort of Teriyaki flavor. I would definitely recommend it to others. My friends said that what they ordered was also delicious too. I thought that the food tasted fresh and really flavorful. I also loved the presentation!
