We absolutely loved the work performed by Tim White Home Improvements! After meeting with six contractors, we felt most comfortable with the Tim White team and their competitive quote. We had the pleasure of designing our main floor renovation with Augie, who was since retired, and our project manager Joe was amazing to work with during the renovation. Joe always addressed our concerns, was open about any issues that arose, and checked in on the project. Joe was mindful of our budget and worked with us to achieve our dream home within our limitations. Joe also did great coordinating all of the subcontractors and ensuring their work met the Tim White standard. We want to also acknowledge Mader who was on the job everyday and headed up all of the labor. Mader's attention to detail, expert craftsmanship, and vision truly helped transform our boxy floor plan into our dream home. We had an amazing experience with Tim White and highly recommend them for any future projects. The response was " Yeah, where's the bathroom?"I showed him the bathroom".He then came downstairs and made a 15 minute personal phone call to talk about his son and his car insurance standing in front of my dining room window,the bathroom and computer were on the second floor..I came down the stairs to have him look at my specs on the computer,he stood there for 20 seconds,then threw his business card on my desk and said email me the specs.He spent 3 minutes with me and 15 minutes on the phone.He treated me as if I wasn't there. read more

I had heard great things about this company. I alway see the trucks in the area so I called them for an estimate. I basically wasted an hour an a half with a gentleman named Ken who came to my house went over things and told me he would get back to me in a week with an estimate. 2 and half weeks go by and no one calls me so I call them and the receptionist assures me it probably is a mistake and will notify him to email me the information. Another week goes by and no email. I called them back agai a week later just to see what is going on. I was so really surprised by this from the so called reviews. But I should no better. A lot of companies just put good reviews up. The receptionist was very nice buy could not tell me any thing so I told her I would be getting the job done by someone else. It is not a small job either. I guess they are rolling in it if they can just toss jobs away. If you can't back to me with an estimate I am sure not going to trust you with a big job like my kitchen, living room and bathroom. read more

We just finished our beautiful bathroom renovation ! I can't say enough how professional, reliable and considerate everyone was who we worked with. Initially, we met with Kenny for our estimate and once we decided to move forward Kenny helped us design the bathroom of my dreams ! We vibed so well, he really understood my ideas and helped me execute them perfectly. Next, we met with Reejay who was our project manager, I can't praise him enough. Aside from being so organized and diligent he is really just the nicest guy you'll ever meet ! My bathroom took appx. 2 weeks from start to finish--- Reejay stopped in at least two times daily to make sure everything was running smoothly, he communicated with me about our time frame and schedule, and was available whenever I had any questions. Luke was our repair tech , another amazing person to work with. He too went above and beyond, his work is wonderful and he is such a great guy! The electricians and plumbers were also really reliable and so nice to work with. Everything was done with such attention to detail , I really could not be any happier ! This place conducts terrible business practices. Someone came to my home and gave an estimate for interior work. Then after we agreed to have the work done, Sam called us, met with us at their showroom and told us they will go ahead with the work. That was the last we heard from Tim White. They never called us back, even after we called 4 times and left messages every time. That was several months ago. Not a good company to hire. They are the worst. read more

We made an appointment for an estimate 3 weeks ago. We received a confirmation that they would be coming today. Then we get a phone call a short time before our scheduled appointment. They canceled at the very last minute saying that they do not want to go out to Oakdale. Perhaps you should have said that when we made the appointment in the beginning. That was very unprofessional. Had a bathroom installed. Getting the work done on schedule was not the easiest. They exceeded the time frame that was given. When everything was done the work seemed to be done at a quality level. Major gripe was when a problem came about with the grout, they sent one of their own guys to do a patch job and it doesn't look nearly as good as when the actually tiler did the job. Getting someone to come and do the repair in the first place was enough of a pain so I didn't even bother calling them back to send the same person who wouldn't do the quality work as the original install. read more

From demo to finishing details Tim was always available and ensuring everything would be perfect, and he was right. Each person who worked on the house was not only incredibly talented in their skill but also extremely considerate of the neighbors and each other. There was always a clean work site at the end of each day, which was greatly appreciated. Tim's ability to bring his creative talent to each part of the project was valued, as decisions had to be made along the build. We could not have asked for a better experience on what normally could be a stressful time for some. The timeline for the entire build was quick while still being thorough. Tim and his team brought abundant know-how to each task that needed to be completed. There was constant attention to even the smallest detail. We now have a house more beautiful than we ever imagined. We have Tim and his team to thank for their dedication to the project. We met with Augie the salesman for a total renovation of two upstairs bathrooms first at our home and then at their Seaford showroom in early 2014 and we spent several hours discussing our options. At the start of the job, four men showed and did a nice job demolishing the two bathrooms without too much of a mess to the area between the workspace and the front door. For the most part, two men, Chris (and another whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) did the majority of the work: carpentry, sheetrock, spackling, tiling, trimwork and grouting. The plumbers had a conflict with re-routing the plumbing stack, but they eventually worked it out. The electricians left a little to be desired with their work in the basement, they failed to secure some of the wires that they ran. There were a few extra charges for the plumbing work and a new, narrower door (which in retrospect may or may not have been 100% necessary, but I can understand that at the time it may have been kinda difficult to know if the old door would've cleared the new sink. I received a call from the salesman near the end of the job looking for additional monies because of the type of tiles we supplied, stating that it was additional work, but the mistake was on his part because he knew from the beginning the type of tile we were interested in. So, no more money would be forthcoming. There were two different foremen, John and Tom that called and came by to check on the work. There were two because one had been in a pretty bad car accident. Chris, the main carpenter on the job, did work that I would rate a 9.8 out of 10. I caught a few details that he had done that he hadn't pointed out to me that really, really impressed me. Overall, the job took a bit longer than we thought it should, but I'm very happy with the quality. I'd recommend Tim White for work inside your home. read more

We recently completed the remodel of a kitchen and full bath by Tim White Remodeling and can't believe how magnificent they both turned out. There was concern and anxiety about hiring a contractor for the projects, but we are so happy we put our trust in this company. From working with an extremely talented designer to our project manager and his exceptional work crew, we could not have asked for a better experience. Every tradesman and crew member that worked in our home were complete gentlemen, who obviously took pride in their work and were respectful of our home during the construction process. Very disappointing. Today is day 93 of what should have been a 7 week project. Tim White himself does not have one ounce of compassion in his soul. We have been calling him every day, repeatedly getting ignored. No one returns our calls or answers our questions. We paid over $150,000 on our dream housing renovations and we get no respect. It's very heartbreaking and keeps my family awake at night. One example: they did not order enough tiles for our floor. Perhaps a simple mistake. However, after laying 85% of the tiles, they then let multiple days go by without coming back to our house to finish. When we asked why this was, we were told they no longer made those tiles anymore. They couldn't get them from anywhere in the world... When threatening multiple times to file a complaint with the BBB, we were answered straight away and were told that the same tiles would be delivered next Tuesday. Multiple frustrating cases such as this. Constantly being lied to. For all the money we paid, we should be treated with respect. Or at least, the common decency of answering a customer. I don't understand how they are in business with customer service like this. Absolutely horrid. I suggest you find an honest company who treats their paying customers with respect and compassion. We will be filing a complaint and requesting much of our money back. Every day, I am saddened that it has come to this. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. If you can go else where I suggest you do. I am not sure where all of these high reviews are coming from but in my opinion, he is having family and friends write them. Things started out great during the sales process but as we closed on the mortgage and asked for changes things began to fall apart. This job was over 100k and we were made to feel like bad people when we would ask them to do more work. Several times we were delayed during good weather from what i felt was retailiation for us complaining. We were promised an upgrade of a "flush header" at only the cost of a drop header but a week later the gift was rescinded without any credit to replace it. There was even an issue when asking for my vanity that was being delivered to be brought into the house. They said that there workers did not want the liabilty of bringing my vanity in although it was an item that was to be installed on the job and they would have had to carry it the same distance as if they would have brought it themselves. After these challenges Tim White began his cranky old man speech of how he was 50 and didnt have to deal with difficult people. I guess if difficult mean expecting someone to do what they promised and not act like an ahole when a request made, then im the most difficult person in the world. After Tim refused to do the job after making us move all of our furniture and promising to do it for a very competitive price it became almost impossible to find another contractor to do the job with the funds requested in the homestyle loan. As we went from contractor to contractor, many of them were very sympathetic but said there would be no way for them to match such a ridiculous price for the job. Then stories came out about how jobs were given at lower prices only to ask for more money during the job. That was a review that you can search on the web. Other contractors had suggested that this is somewhat of a thing that "certain" contractors are known for or that Tim is just the face of the company and had moved to florida with Tom Miller now being the majority holder of the company. Maybe I am being critical but I expect a certain level of customer service and if that part isnt there I will not just ignore it and keep quiet. Even when he decided that he did not want to deal with me he told my wife that he would deal with her and meet with her the next day he ignored her calls and called the mortgage broker (a family friend) to tell her he was not doing the job. When I complained to the BBB he lied about what my mortgage broker said and wife said to portray himself as the victim. This guy couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it. I have never dealt with someone as immature and blatently disrespectful as this guy and will have to screen better next time. I really hope this helps someone else out. read more

I just had a total renovation of my bathroom. From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure working with Tim White Home Improvement and they totally blew me away with their expertise. I first met with Augie, the kitchen & bathroom designer, who is one of the nicest people you will meet. He listened and then guided me through the whole designing process and made me feel totally comfortable that I would in no way be disappointed. He was so right and designed just the bathroom I wanted. John, the foreman, amazed me with how on top of things he was through the whole renovation and how he pays attention to every detail. He answered his phone anytime I called with a question and was always ready to remedy any situation. The crew I had from demo to the end were precise, professional, clean, neat, considerate of my neighbors as I live in a co-op (which has their own set of rules and they readily adhered to and assisted me with), polite, detail oriented and extremely skilled. At the end of each day, a truck came to remove any debris, and the area was cleaned up for the next day. Renovations can be such a stressful thing and you hear of so many terrible stories about experiences with contractors that, of course, I was a bit nervous. However, I never once experienced any of them with Tim White Home Improvement. Daily my mind was put at ease by how professional this company runs. They were timely on a daily basis and got the job done in the exact time frame they gave me, and they gave me a bathroom I love that is flawless. I would highly recommend them as I cannot say one bad word about this company whatsoever. I still sit in amazement with how lucky I was to have chosen the right company.
