Came here because my cousin lives in the area. Not going to come back though. This place is a tiny Goodwill, with the tiniest book selection. Not really a bookstore, and NOT a boutique. Their used stuff is dirty and too expensive, bad quality too. They have rude management and staff. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this supposed non-profit feeds its pockets with all that money from donations for personal use instead. read more

I appreciate this store for exactly what it is...which I think is the key to enjoying this particular Goodwill location as a shopper. Right off the bat, THIS DOES NOT FEEL NOR OPERATE LIKE MOST GOODWILL STORES DO. It's significantly smaller with a limited selection of items. Every time I've been in there, there's been no furniture/larger items, and the selection of items as a whole is small. An assortment of home decor items and clothing accessories, a wall of books, some clothing racks in the middle. That's pretty much it. That all being said...everything available is very carefully curated and shockingly clean by Goodwill standards. The shelves and books are all color-coordinated, and pretty much everything seems to be in very decent condition. It feels more like a small secondhand boutique than a Goodwill, to be honest. Given the size of the space, I actually appreciate that it's laid out this way. It's easier to find things, and the things that I find are usually of higher quality. If you are trying to make a donation...I, personally, would not do it at this particular location. The thing I like about making donations to most Goodwill stores is the ease of it. I like being able to pull my car up to the side of the building and have an employee take the items without too much fuss. From all of the negative reviews on here, it seems like that isn't really how donations go down at this Goodwill store. I would actually recommend the Colton Avenue location in Redlands for anyone looking to make donations in the area, as that seems to be a store with a more standard donation set-up. read more

Some places are for exploring and finding the unexpected, and this is it. They sell gently used books and items. It has easy parking and easy access. The prices are extremely reasonable. But keep in mind this is a small facility and the variety is limited. But with this in mind, it a good adventure to check out. We have found the staff to be friendly. We also like supporting Goodwill and recycling. This place is a win all the way around. read more

Why is this called a Bookstore when it's not a bookstore? It's a regular Goodwill donation center that just happens to carry books. They had the tiniest selection of books. It used to be a bookstore but they decided to change what they sell but keep the name. Target doesn't call itself a bookstore simply because it carries books.Neither does Walmart. I concur with all the one star reviews here concerning donation. The lady who works here is rude, hates her job, and is consistently mean when I bring in any donations. She folds her arms, or has a defensive stance, and would say I should have called, or brought them in earlier. Just this past Saturday, I brought in neatly folded young men's clothes (about 25 shirts) that my son no longer wears, and she pointed to the clock and exclaimed it was already 4pm. I told her I checked first, and the center doesn't close until 6pm. She argued that her bins are full. I looked at the 2 bins and they were 3/4 full, with plenty of room for folded shirts. On another occasion, I brought in 4 brand new chair pads from Williams-Sonoma in their original packaging and she refused them citing that her bins were full, when they were not. A customer that was shopping with her son overheard her disgruntled attitude, and kindly offered to take the chair pads to another center for me. I finally told her that she gives me anxiety whenever I want to drop off a donation, and that I would report her behavior - she definitely doesn't represent the good heartedness of anyone working in philanthropy or charity. She backtracked after that, and accepted my donation. However, she should not be working there if she gives people a hard time because they want to donate to charity, as her behavior is a contraindication to what Goodwill represents! read more

As soon as I walked in,, this lady tells me what she won't except.. she wouldn't take my books or two body pillows..? I gave her three bags of clothes and grabbed two more from the car and laid them on the floor..she said they don't go on the floor they go in that bin ,pointed to a blue bin.. she dismissed me by turning her back an I asked for a receipt. She told me to scan the box on the door,and I said I would like a paper receipt, she didnt know if she had one , opened a drawer with a whole pad .. !! I have never been to this store, and I will never go back!!! This lady was the rudest person I have ever had to deal with in a long time! She has no business working with the public! .....and I wouldn't give one star but I had too. read more

Wow! What has happened here? I've never been treated so rudely in my life. The lady running the store made me take all my items directly into the back. When I tried to put some items inside the door while I went out to my car to get more, she yelled at me and demanded I take that load into the back. She went through all my items to verify they would take them. (They were nice and in good shape) I told her I've never been treated like this before when I donated items and she informed me that it was now a boutique store. I guess that means they can treat people bringing donations in like crap. I'll be donating to the cancer Discovery Shop from now on. read more

My favorite goodwill bookstore. I love how they really try to organize the books by topic/category and author. I've been to another goodwill bookstore and its all over the place, not organized at all, among other issues. But the redlands bookstore is wonderful. I love the familiarity and consistency when visiting this store. Also, every employee we have encountered has been very polite and helpful. read more

This review is for donating not purchasing. If you want to donate, you must come early or they will max out on donations and make you come back on a different day. To me, this location is a little sketchy. I donated a lot of old Cadillac ads from the 1920s, 30s and 40s specifically because I've seen goodwill sell items such as these and new they would benefit. The employee who took them lamented that she didn't meet me in the parking lot because she is allowed to keep items as long as they haven't come into the store. Huh? Isn't this a donation to Goodwill not to an individual person? On a separate trip, I opted to arrive a little early because I needed to get to work and wanted to be the first one. I arrived 7 minutes before they opened and there was no one in the parking lot. I was unloading items by the front door so I could put them in a bin easily. An employee (a different one), opened the door, told me I'm not allowed to put anything by the front door. She then asked what I was donating, decided it was worthy of her time, huffed a little, then went and got a bin. After we put everything in the bin, I had to ask for a receipt (she didn't offer) and then she told me on my way out that I'm not allowed to arrive early. No "Thank you for your donation" or any niceties like she was the one doing me a favor. This is making me re-think whether Goodwill is the place I should be donating... read more

The woman who works here is overtly rude. When you drive out of your way to make a donation it is extremely off-putting to be met with hostility. I left with my donation rather than continue to interact with her. Why are they there? I had a very valuable donation to offer. read more

Extremely rude employee. Does not allow you to take the bin 2 feet out of the door to lift heavy books from your trunk into it but expect you to carry all the books inside the store. I ask him for the reason and that they are too heavy for me to carry, but he says it's just policy. He didn't help, even though he had nothing to do. I will not go back there. read more

The two older women at the counter were talking incredibly loud and seemed irritated when a woman and her children walked in to donate/buy some things. They were also allowing people to walk in without masks despite the "required mask" sign at the door, which just seems careless and irresponsible. read more

The store has designated hours. I showed up at noon and found the lights on, the door locked , and a sign on the door saying "Out 2 lunch". I waited 20 minutes, during which time three out people hoping to drop off items pulled up and ended up leaving. Poor service is poor service, one star it is! read more

So sad to see the company and its employees forget the meaning of gratitude. People take time to gather their donations, get in a car in 90 degree hit to drop them off only to be met by a "we're not taking any more donations". Not "hello, we apologize, but we are over capacity, thanks anyway". I'm done helping this organization. I'll find another. read more

One of the employees there when I visited today was being a complete meany and extremely rude to me and my mother. She was a white lady with dark seeing glasses, thin built with brown hair. She was terrible, so terrible I even audio recorded it this time. It'll be public and she will be exposed soon. Never visit here if she is in there. Shes so lazy and rude and was on her phone and not cheerful what so ever. Not the best person to put on your front lines Goodwill Bookstore, you made a terrible terrible terrible choice. read more

I love books and If i can get them cheap even better! They have a small selection but it covers the must haves. Especially if your looking for classic books! They have a great collection of classic books. They also have MCAT, GRE, SAT, ASVAB and other standardized test books for cheap which is amazing. read more

This is a Donation Center. It's not meant to be a Goodwill store, although there are several shelves of books, DVDs, and CDs for sale--but that's all that's for sale here. I don't understand why a very negative review of this drop-off center mentions clothes, which they don't even carry here. I've always found the employees to be curteous and professional. read more
