They have a good selection of Japanese condiments and snacks since they are tied to Don Quijote. They also make some pretty good poke bowls. They also carry whole Fresh fish straight from the auction block. If you're looking for a premade hot meals, I would recommend the steak. It comes with a scoop of rice salad or blanch vegetables or Mac salad. And a drink. That's a great deal. read more

As an elder kupuna, on social security, it has been so pleasant enjoying the ability to buy Na Mea Ono poi at a reasonable price. Times offers several brands, and having the ability to get one affordable brand for a disabled senior has been a blessing. This week the price increased from $5.99 to $11.99!! This is the price for Kauai's Hanalei poi! Taro brand is $7.99. C'mon, Times!! At the Hawaiian Food "Haulolo is Dat" store on Kaneohe Bay Dr, which sells poi to Times, sells to their customer, 6 for $30. So sad to raise the price so high to loyal elderly customers!! read more

My daughter and I stopped by here to get snacks and drinks. I liked this location because it wasn't too busy when we came here on a weekday afternoon. It's pretty similar to all the other Times locations but this one seemed bigger. We got some random snacks and drinks here before heading home. I always make sure my daughter eats and drinks to hydrate. She has a history of passing out if she doesn't drink or eat. Plenty of parking up front and so much to choose from at this location. Its really sad that even though i am a paying, regular customer they won't let me use the restroom (they did before). I had to walk to McDonalds who requires paying customers only can use restrooms. What am I supposed to do of suddenly while shopping i need to go??? I don't know what's happened to the management at my neighbor Times. The produce section is going down hill. Last week almost all of the packages of pre washed salad mixes were expired. This week there is a giant pile of rotting bananas for 1.79/lb. And the avocados too. Move those suckers, 50 cents a pound banana bread guacamole special. Also I see they were selling salmon sashimi. This is the same farmed salmon they sell and it is not sashimi grade. I don't think you can just cut up any old fish and call it sashimi. I hope the management will spend a little time in the store or at hire a produce person that knows what's fresh and what's not. Wow must update and add an extra star. I came to Ko'olau Times today to buy my daughter milk and dinner and it was stocked with fruits and vegetables that looked bright and fresh. I also checked the garlic even though I didn't need any, and none was black! I was very shocked, this was a first for me. Usually there is a slim selection and of course it doesn't look good. I also went to the meat/fish department and it was also stocked with fresh looking seafood and meat. They're stepping it up and I'm very impressed and would actually consider coming here more...not only when it's a convenience because it's closer to home. One more thing I would like to add is it was very clean looking in here today, usually it looks grungy but I saw a worker the whole time cleaning. read more

I love coming here for their famous local plate lunches! They are always pretty good and come with rice, salad and a drink! I just finished buying a cute pink UH tank top for $16. I thought it wasn't a bad deal! They also have sushi and kaava and basically everything else you generally desire from a grocery store with random surprises :) But yea, parking here does kind of suck and I've seen people get into fights about parking here. Stopped by to pick up some barbecue meats and drinks to bring to the beach. Located across Valley of the temple in koolau shopping center. There are many other businesses so parking could be a pain. It's a Sunday so parking was good. Store is clean and organized. Very easy to find what your looking for. The typical grocery store with all your food needs and household necessities. Went in for barbecue meats, the selection wasn't the greatest but sufficient enough. Char siu pork, kal bi, and teriyaki meat. They also have oysters. Not bad for last minute barbecues. They have poke in trays, this store doesn't have a poke station like the one in royal kunia. Their plate lunch section is very small compared to Royal Kunia. Nonetheless still Ono food for on the go. Staff was very friendly and nice. Was greeted with a smile. Line at check out was a breeze. Will be back I'm sure! read more

This place was a nice surprise. Admittedly, this was the first place we went to with poke (shock!) and it was a good starter in Hawaii! We had three different poke bowls (unfortunately, I only remember the Spicy Ahi for sure)..but whatever we had, it was very tasty for supermarket poke. The guy who worked there was also very patient with us. And the cashier was also very friendly, we asked if it was going to rain later and she walked us out and gave us a personal update lol. I arrived parking in the times pknglot at approximately 1:30pm, walking to the pharmacy front took about 5 min. I guess the pharmacy closes for lunch:) that's fine:) What was not kosher, and by kosher I mean acceptable, was the greeting I received at the front drop-off counter window, nor the 30 min time wait I was quoted after it took the male technician 5 min to do what it was that he was doing for those 5 min which he didn't bother to excuse himself for! After returning a half hour to pick up my rx:) I was asked for insurance info. Shouldn't that have been asked of me upon arrival? Or was it just me? So I waited standing in front of the pharmacy window to display the fact that I, one of their customers, was waiting. However frustrating it was, MY WAIT WAS PATIENT but the 25 year old version of me wanted to scream lol. To finish my experience. The pharmacist Derek, yes You SiR, failed to ask me if I had taken this medication before nor did you acknowledge me via eye contact. Was it my nail polish that offended you? I love this Times. PARKING: The parking has always been a little tight, but if you're from this area, you are used to it. Fortunately they opened up a side lot around the corner from the store on the Hui Iwa St side where the gas station used to be. Those spaces are wide enough, being that it's a new lot. CROWD: all ages, local people, folks from Kane'ohe, Kahalu'u, North Shore, tourists headed out to North Shore, folks from the surrounding neighborhood... SERVICE: very friendly, good management, some young cash registers, most of whom are friendly and helpful :) Anytime I've had a question about the location of a product, they are quick to take me to the appropriate aisle. COST: they have weekly sales and deals. Prices are what you'd expect for Hawai'i. I usually just run in for a few items, or a potluck item on the way to a party, or the occasional late-night dessert! PHARMACY: friendly, helpful staff that answer questions and work quickly to help you. FISH: there's new seafood section! I haven't tried it yet, but look forward! Stopped here after visiting the valley of the temples. There's a seafood deli section in the back. So many choices to make a poke bowl. I went with the spicy ahi tuna and soyu tuna combo. It was so good I got a second bowl to take back to our condo. For $7.49, it was the best ever. read more

Besides when I need some groceries, what keeps me coming back to this neighborhood Times are the fresh plate lunches served up on weekends. Served from 11 A.M.-6 P.M. on Friday to Sunday, the plate lunches cost only $5.99 and also include a drink. Although the steak plate is probably the most popular for the majority of people, I tend to like my meat more bloody than what is typically served up and instead always go with my favorite, the Huli Huli Chicken plate which is only offered on Saturdays. With college football season upon us, if you are too lazy to fire up the hibachi on a Saturday or Sunday morning and are craving some grilled meats, just head over to Times. Check their website first though since the plate lunch offerings vary from store to store. read more

I shop here as it is close to my home, but I have been to other Times Supermarket (Kailua, Kaimuki, Kalihi and Kaneohe). This Times has thee best employees! All the employees are willing to check on items for you, they will stop whatever they are doing to find the answers to questions and the cashiers are always friendly. When there are long lines the courtesy counter tries to help customers who they can check out. I have found the produce here fresh and have had no problems. The pharmacy at this Times is way better than CVS, but I cannot change my prescription plan to this one, but I will always come to this one for vaccines. When they say they will call you, they will call you. If you have questions you can always ask them, without feeling like you are bothering them. read more

The parking always seems to be cramped which is why I enjoy going shopping later at night close to 10 pm when the store is empty and there is no lines when checking out. I moved my prescriptions to Times Temple Valley because it is close to my home and I was tired of the lines and attitudes at Longs. It has been a great move! I had work comp and regular prescriptions and all of the transactions have gone smoothly. The compassion shown by the staff is extraordinary and any questions I have are answered. If there is a problem with the insurance company or physician the pharmacy staff troubleshoots and gets me what I need. There is ample seating in the waiting area and it is very much appreciated by we who are ill or disabled. This entire store is very customer oriented. 2 Star because I'm a regular and the staff are great and personable! Less the 3 stars because multiple times I have purchased chicken and fish only to take it home and it's stinky and slimy! I live nearby but that's still such a huge inconvenience to have to go back only to realize all of their Same products I try to replace it with, have the same odor...especially having kids hungry at home. I've witnessed the deli section dripping water because the temperature isn't set properly and some of the cold cut meats I have taken off the shelves were warm to the touch. In my opinion, Times can be a 100 if they handle quality control better. I've read other reviews here and it seems quite a bit of people have had the same issues with rotted products. It's a grocery store. What can I really say? They have many of the common things you would expect from a grocery store. In Hawaii, it seems like every grocery store has poke. That is not the case on the mainland. Props to their poke though. It is really good, fresh, and tender. I got the spicy ahi because I love spicy. It wasn't that spicy but still very good. Only complaint is the higher than average prices. But coming from the mainland, all food is more expensive here. read more

Times Market Koolau is the "To go" Market if you live in the Ahuimanu/Kahaluu neighborhood, very easy to get to,walking distance and ample parking. Although the food selection is limited compared to Safeway, what they do NOT have that Safeway always does is -Long Lines!! The cashiers are nice, fast, quick, Managers are always on hand if there is a wrong price, and they have Baggers! If you bring your own recycle bag, they give you a small discount, and great Steak, Garlic Shrimp and Salmon plates on Fridays and Saturdays. They also have a good local produce selection, Apple Bananas and Manoa lettuce are always on hand and fresh. If you are cooking a special dinner or need to pick up a quick bottle of wine, Times Market is paired up with Fujioka's and has a very good wine selection, especially their Spanish wines. And if you are the designated guest to bring over dessert to one of my parties, you can stop in to get a fresh Ted's Chocolate Haupia Pie! *WINK* Safeway Kaneohe has disappointed me more and more over the the years, their lines are long, only one or 2 cashiers at a time, no baggers, and although they have a vast selection of food, they lack on updating their "Price gun"! BEWARE! Always check your receipt at Safeway, they always overcharge! One thing about Time's Sushi is they are heavy handed with the Furikake, and their Poke in the Meat section is frozen. ( Better to go to NInja Sushi next door, or give in to Safeway's Fresh Poke, which is rather good) All in all, Time's Mky Koolau is your friendly, neighborhood Grocery store where everyone knows your face! :) PS. Ah, Temple Valley. The buffer zone between the urbanized southern part of the east side and the country. Based on the location, I'd say that this store handles people from Kaneohe (such as myself) to probably as far off as Ka'a'a'a'a'a'a'awa. There's one thing that they have at this Times that they don't have at the one in Kaneohe (they both have steak plates and the occasional raggedy looking moke). Kamaboko Poke Stuff is good. As for the rest of the store. It's ok. They always have good prices on local tomatoes. read more

GREAT LITTLE HIDDEN TIMES OFF KAHEKILI that beats out the larger competitor Safeway off Kam in Kaneohe town on nearly EVERY item. (Example: They are 65 cents for my usual cat food as compared to 90 cents a can at Safeway.) They have a decent fresh veggie section and a great selection of wines and some bakery. What they lack is a good organic selection so I still frequent the Safeway for that. They don't even have organic milk. That needs updating:( But the wait to check out is FAST and Safeway is SNAIL lines so they win when not shopping Organic. read more

I noticed a Times Supermarket off the highway so I stopped by to grab a drink and a snack. There's lots of parking, the store is VERY clean, and the staff is really friendly! I grabbed a Diet Pepsi and a doughnut (great breakfast huh? lol) and was on my way. Come here just to bring my Mom, seems like it's her favorite supermarket. Took her to another one in Kaneohe and she still wanted to come here saying that the veggies look fresher. Parking here kinda sucks, don't know if the spaces are too small or it's angled wrong or people in Kahaluu just don't know how to park. Probably a combination of all. Store is kept clean. If you don't have a Royal card then the prices are high just like any other market if you don't have their club card. Only knock on this location they don't have their own bakery or deli. read more

Don't shop at Times in Temple Valley unless you want to wait in forever lines! They have only one regular cashier lane open and one Express Cashier and sometimes they open a second cashier when it gets overly crowded. There's NO room to stand in line with the overflow of customers and many times there are two lines forming for the same cashier. Hello management???? What kind of management allows customers to wait so long and not care. If there was a lower rating than one star it would be the one chosen! And why is this store so behind in modernizing it? Mahalo a nui Times for great customer service, great prices and great food! Yesterday I couldnt find potato salad and the cashier left his cash register to walk me to aisle 4 to find it. Then I realized I had forgotten my wallet, had a paper check but no drivers license. He closed his lane and helped me complete my purchase with professionalism and courtesy. I bought a really nice pot of chrysanthemums at $9.99, a sushi roll for $3.49, and a shampoo for .89. All in all a great stop. They have a huge Fujioka's wine shop. There are tons of choices for wine and other spirits. The sushi was very good ! Texture, and taste was perfect. I heard they make a spice ahi parfait, which is some spicy ahi poke on a layer of rice in a clear cup. Looks like a parfait. tastes like heaven. My former neighborhood market! An excellent place to find your local groceries for all your ono eats! It is packed with fresh produce and everything you can think of. There are only 5-6 check out lines, so it can get pretty busy. The bathroom is to the left upstairs and is quite tiny. NO changing table for babies ( I think, might have changed) The workers are nice, and the prices are reasonable. You will have a great shopping experience!
