As other Yelpers have noted, donuts are a bit pricey (about $6/donut), but they are also pretty big donuts. You can get specialty coffees and tea here too. I ordered a cedar chai latte. I was told some people think there is cedar in the chai, but that's not why it's called that. It's the name of the tea company. The chai was really rich and worth stopping in for a visit on its own. There is also plenty of parking just off Grand Boulevard.

The owner was very kind and showed off the doughnuts and his coffee machine. It is clean and professional! Clearly looks like a nice product. The doughnuts look great! However please note it is about $6 a pastry. So this isn't a pick up a dozen. Also they are made with brioche dough. So they are heavier vs the soft puff one may be used too. In general they were good. I guess a more European take on a pastry. Not as sweet and probably better ingredients. They all ate a bit dry though. Not sure if this is by intent. It was good. But at $5-$6 a doughnut it should be dreamy I think. Would I go back. Maybe. I probably would prefer a maple bar from doughnut parade or fluffies or such. I want them to succeed and maybe the coffee will be their jam. The owner talked it up. And 1 doughnut may be ok. Also there is no sitting. This is a take and go operation. Clearly great people. The service was great, the gentleman who served us; was friendly and knowledgable about ice cream and explained the process and Doyle's wonderfully. The ambiance of Doyle's is a classic old ice cream shop with lots of classic decorations all over the place. I was super disappointed by the ice cream I received. The sauces were overwhelming, disproportionate to the ice cream. The sauces were way too sweet. I couldn't even taste the ice cream. The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.
