A traditional pub, and very much a focal point in the community. We called in for lunch with friends and the service was excellent. The food was good and I enjoyed bangers and mash. Local bands play here and a great atmosphere adds to the ambiance. There is parking but not too much. Washrooms are downstairs but a decent hand rail is a a great help. I've lived in the area for some time and this neighborhood bar has always been very friendly to me, reasonably priced drinks and daily deals make it an easy place to frequent. The live music is the main pull because the crowd the place brings in makes it feel like the busiest bar in your small town community. Coming from a small town mentality (Sarnia, ON) it hits home for me, especially after a long day in the city. Great local live music venue that has been open for over 18 years. I dropped-by on a Friday at around 6pm, grabbed a table near the window. This pub has a nice lively atmosphere and pretty cool interior, even a decent outdoor patio. I ordered a veggie burger, came with really delicious nicely seasoned fries (nice sized portion) and a couple of drinks. I'm so thankful Timothy's offers vegetarian options, I'm so sick of going to a pub and struggling with dead-tasting salads. My waitress was fantastic, so very friendly and sweet! I popped in because I was in the area and pretty hungry. Didn't know really what to expect as it is sandwiched in a bit of a weird strip. Ordered the burger and fries for $9. Yes, $9. I was expecting a slider for that price, but boy was I wrong. A proper burger, toasted bun loaded with freshness came out in front of me. Fantastic burger. If you prefer yours well done, you might want to say that as mine came out with a touch of flavour left in it, for which I was grateful. Place looks clean, had a pretty good pub selection of whiskey/scotch and fine selection of beers both draft and bottles. Bartender was (Susanne according to my receipt) and was pleasant, efficient and seemed to know everyone suggesting longevity of employment there. Always a good sign, or she's the owner and actually cares. I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more

It was my friend's birthday and he had chosen Timothy's to get together for some live music as he knew the act the night we went (this past Saturday). This place isn't huge but it's ok and could be considered a little tight for a live band because the stage is kind of small but since the band could play well it's large enough. The area is tight near the bar since there's partitions separating the floor in front of the stage with stool seating as well as the bar having stool seating sort of creates a bottle neck through the one way in and out of the kitchen and from behind the bar as servers are constantly moving in and out of this area and there's people sitting on both sides. It's sort of tight in that area but when it's busy it can be that way. We had to pay a 5 dollar cover to get in I'm guessing because of the band and we sat near the front at the partition stools and my friends had ordered some food. It looked good but I wasn't hungry so I didn't even try any of it. The pints all seemed to be around 7 and change and we all had a bunch of drinks and the service was pretty good, they knew what we were all having without having to tell the bartender. I didn't end up staying very long but this place is ok. Everybody that ate the wings were saying they were really good and even my other friend who never eats wings said he enjoyed them. I liked the variety of beer they had on tap and they had some craft IPAs as well which to me is what I'll always take over some generic big brand. read more

I don't know who gave his place a 5-Star but they musta been smoking something!! This is a very small neighbourhood pub. It was Halloween so the place was busy & a break needs be given for the that. The service was extremely slow & the waitress was surly. We ordered Wings, pulled Pork Sandwich & a veggie plate. The wings were double fried (they have that re-fried taste) & were soooo tough I struggled to break the skin. The Pulled Pork was on a brioche bun but it was dry & lacked taste. On the good side they had lots of TV's & the World Series was on!! read more

This is one of the best neighbourhood pubs ever. They have a lot of big screen TVs so you can watch the game, great live music and just an awesome overall vibe. The service is always friendly, the food (especially the wings and homemade chips) are delicious and the prices are decent. I would highly recommend Timothy's. read more

Great service, amazing music and cheap drinks and food! From the outside, it looks kinda dingy....but it's quite nice once you are in! Very cozy and pub-y feel! The live music and dance floor area is a nice compliment! I can see why all the locals keep coming back to this place! :) My only quip is that the food was quite oily, and the washrooms kinda smell (hence this place wasn't a 5 star for me), but I would definitely come back regardless! Guess this is what you would expect from a real local pub!! read more

Timothy's looks like your typical pub when you walk in. Quite busy with all of the essential components of a Pub (dart boards, live music etc.). They even have haggis on the menu which I wolfed down. Even the other dishes my friends ate where quite good. A fair number of beers on tap but mostly domestic (as stated in a previous review). I have 2 complaints: The first is that it really isn't close to anything. The second would be that the service is quite slow (in fairness it was a busy night). We had to get our own menus and flag down staff. Overall, good food compared to these "chain" pubs. We will go back if it strictly so I can eat haggis. read more

Good service, good ambience and amazing wings. At this bar to watch the game. It's an older crowd - cougarville and a sprinkle of youngins'. The wings were really good and we also got the Friday special of 2-for-1 fish and chips. The fish and chips you can tell are a refried - really oily. Maybe on a next day it's better. One of the hostesses was very rude...some seatings were reserved and even after 40 minutes of nobody showing up she rudely dismissed anyone who asked. All the other staff members were nice and friendly. Great band playing as well All in all good place if well managed seating wise. read more

My husband and I just moved to this neighbourhood and on our the search for a fun local bar. We looked up "great wings" on Yelp, and this place came up. We're here, after paying a $5 cover charge. The local band playing tonight is good. They opened with a great Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling cover, a surprise we were so happy with! They've since transitioned to oldies. The wings however, were meh. I ordered 1 lb of honey garlic and 2 tasted fresh (and were delicious) and the rest tasted re-fried and over sauced in an attempt to cover the tough bite perhaps? The service is pretty good, considering they're completely full tonight. One thing we wish we had known, is that the majority of the crowd is 40+. As young newlyweds, we probably won't be returning just because it isn't quite the feel we're looking for. read more

Been my go to place for 19 years, for two reasons really, the staff---Susie, Sabrina, Tanis, Tania, Anna, Amy & Dora. They are Very Good at their job and are quite funny and always make me laugh as well as provide impeccable service. Reason # 2, over the years I have met some great people, some of which are regulars like myself. I love Live Music and Tim's has the best. I do wish it was a little bigger especially when there are good bands but that is a minor complaint. Food is Good especially the wings. Tim always has something going on, Golf Tournaments, Celebrating St Patricks Day (the one day I will not go because it is just way too busy), Scotch, Wine & Beer tasting, Pools on a number of Sporting events.
