I'm a new customer at Tim's and originally came in for service on a .22 semi-auto pistol and was immediately impressed by the friendliness and knowledgeability of the new proprietor - Kent. Went in to buy my first firearm(Glock 19). Best price in the valley btw. The staff Kent and Luis are very nice and helpful gentlemen showing me how to field-strip and clean my gun, helping me with my paperwork and everything. I also wanted to look at a shotgun and Luis was very helpful and patient with me as I don't have A LOT of knowledge with firearms (just gun safety) he answered all my questions and was very helpful and patient with me. First, I wanted to find a new gun store besides (Turner's) and I found Tim's Gun Shop. Went in on a Tuesday and instantly was helped unlike Turner's, just need my new ar15 compensator torqued to spec and they had it done fast and efficient. When I collected my ar15 I had a problem with the bolt carrier. Callled the shop and Kent answered, told him I had a problem with the bolt carrier. Kent told me he'll fix it on the spot and went back to the store the same hour and had it fixed in couple of minutes flat. Will be returning to the shop. read more

Went in for gunsmith work on my 1911 - needed a gold bead to be drilled and installed on the front sight. With so many projects that Tim had, he was still able to complete mine in a timely manner. This place has a really good selection of firearms and accessories. It's bright and VERY clean, which is a nice change compared to some of the more rustic shops out there. I went in looking for a rail riser for an AR. They didn't have it in stock, but they did have a very good collection of other similar, niche accessories that would rival a big box store like Bass Pro. In typical gun shop fashion, the staff is a bit condescending. Seems to come with the territory. However, after a bit of talking, the walls come down and it's quite clear everyone is genuinely nice. While I didn't get the riser I wanted, I did get a good education on various weapons and found a good spot for used firearms. read more

They only get 4 stars because of their high prices. $75 + $25 dros to do work as an FFL is absolutely ridiculous, $585 gen 3 glock 19s is very high too.
